catman 1,080
G'day all, keeping phono preamp noise low has been a long time interest of mine and I am now lucky to have two MM phono stages that are very quiet, the Rothwell Audio 'Simplex' phono stage, and the excellent Akitika PhonoZ DIY phono stage which uses a very clever 'miller loop' circuit approach to reducing the phono stage input noise. Daniel Joffe of Akitika has just written an interesting article on this 'miller loop' noise reduction approach. It's very interesting and works very well. http://akitika.com/documents/ElectronicCooling.pdf. Regards, Felix.
