I'm the 2nd owner but it was purchased pretty much brand new from a fellow sna'er. I've had it for just over 1 year & wasn't intending on selling it for a while (I've actually been looking at new speakers) but a possible end-game stereo amp dropped into my lap so this needs to go. It's a big heavy bugger (19kg) & looks lovely in my/your rack. Reviews can be found @: http://www.audioreview.com/cat/amplification/amplifiers/vincent-audio/sp-331-hybrid-stereo-power-amplifier/prd_437324_1583crx.aspx The SP-331 end stage processes the input signal via two 6N16 valves each. 2Brix
I do like the rugged, uncluttered 'old school' look of this particular model - GLWTS
hammo1981
Nice AMP. What did you get to replace this with? GLWTS
mattjtaylor2809
Ayre Acoustic V-5xe....which I hope kills the Vincent but I'm not convinced it will; it should but the Vincent is very good. I'll find out soon enough once the Ayre arrives. Cheers Matt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

mattjtaylor2809
Hi Guys, I've just received a PM suggesting the TnT review is for the SP-331mk which is the next model above. I'll double check & remove if this is the case as I don't to give anyone a bum steer! Guest scumbag
Class A for the first 10 Watts. Well Class A into the first 20 watts at 8ohms to be more specific. At reasonable listening levels, you might never get about 20 watts anyway. At least if you're like me. Edited July 3, 2016 by scumbag

Max Headroom
Hi Matt. How do you find the Ayre compared to the Vincent?
mattjtaylor2809
Hi Max, the Ayre is clearly a better power amp as its a $9k Vs $1.7k amp.....But, the Vincent is a lovely "warm" sounding hybrid amp, lovely with vocals & nice deep bass. It partnered well in my digital system (helped take the edge off digital files), also sounded great with my TT. stephenhunter
This is a bargain ! I use one to drive Focal 836 speakers from Naim 172 streamer/ pre amp Beautiful rendition of voice and very fast and musical bottom end in particular. One day I will upgrade but will retain the Vincent at least as a radiator!
