  1. Hi all Noob here. My current setup is a Rotel RA630 integrated amp paired to Monitor Audio Bronze 5 floor standing speakers. As I'm looking to purchase the Yamaha WXC-50 to use a streamer would it be possible to connect an active subwoofer to WXC-50 & then run it through the Rotel. Reading other queries here it seems that the WXC-50 can be used in "player" mode when connecting to an integrated amp but I'm not sure whether it will work when connecting an active subwoofer as well.

Some marks on the top cover and right-hand side as shown in the photos. Reason for selling: Updated. No longer required. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only. Happy to post at buyers expense. I am very fussy with packing to make sure items arrive intact. 8. Item: Yamaha A-S1000 amplifier Location: Kew, Victoria Price: 950 Item Condition: excellent near mint Reason for selling: changing things up Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: selling my mint Yamaha A-S1000 with remote, no scratches or marks anywhere. Incredible build quality, punchy warm clear sound, buckets of power, stellar MM/MC phono stage, built like a tank at 23kg. This has been used in rotation usually in summer mainly when my tube amp seems like the wrong choice, or when I want a punchier more detailed change over the tube sound. The tone controls are in another league to most implementations I've heard. I never hear any degradation when I do use them. The side wood panels can be purchased in dark brown and black from Yamaha for $100 btw I do have the manuals but no box. Would prefer to have this local collection Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.

  10. Hi all, just wondering if a Yamaha RXV 1085 AVR would suit a set of Zensor 7's, Zensor 3's and Zensor Vokal Centre Speakers? I'm new to the this hobby and finding it hard to understand what is required in terms of power per channel. Any clarity and advice would be appreciated! Cheers EDIT: I also have a Panasonic UB820 4K Blu Ray player that i recently purchased (My god improves regular blu rays - compared to Xbox/PS4 players), I think it would be suitable for passthrough of this amp (ARC?). I dont know if this will change anything?

  12. Item: Yamaha AS-1100 Integrated Amplifer - (BLACK with Piano Black Sides) Location: Melbourne Price: $1490- Item Condition: Excellent - Mint; Suit New Buyer Reason for selling: Change of Direction, NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Direct Deposit. Happy to post using courier with tracking and insurance but its approx 25kg so might be pricey to post - Extra Info: Purchased 28/06/2018 from Audio Trends, receipts etc all in box, still 4yrs of 5yr Factory Warranty Left.. I am putting my Yamaha AS-1100 up for sale as I am going to try out some valve amps and change paths. The Yamaha has been fantastic, I don't abuse any of my equipment and have found this very powerful and very clean amp. I had it hooked up to x2 turntables, one into the phono stage and one into a separate pre amp, I also had my Oppo 205 hooked up as well as a separate Ipod doc. It perfomed excellently with all devices and the VU meters are a delight to watch dance! Not using the the tone dials switches them amp into pure direct mode, the remote control is easy to operate and there is a stand by mode or a complete off. You can select the VU meters to peak or VU mode. There is also capacity to run x2 sets of speakers A/B mode and BiWiring There is not a mark or nick or other on this amplifier, will suit someone looking at new purchase at discount price. Below the internet information I have pasted in are pics of the actual unit for sale. Thanks and any questions please ask.... From the Internet... Dedicated single-ended, high-grade integrated amplifier design that faithfully draws out all the intrinsic value of your favourite player or D/A Converter. Floating and Balanced Power Amplifier with MOSFETs Dedicated single-ended amplifier for all types of audio sources All-stage full discrete configuration for strong reproduction of high notes Thorough low impedance design ensures powerful bass response with extremely Superior quality electronic volume control for optimum sound dynamic, energetic feel Large capacity power supply unit delivers energetic, dynamic sound with fast response Symmetrical design in pursuit of ideal stereo reproduction Discretely configured phono amp Level meters visually reflect the dynamics in the music Elegant design with luxurious real wood panels Original speaker terminals combine ease of use and beauty with high sound quality Specifications: Maximum Power (4 ohms, 1kHz, 0.7% THD, for Europe) 160 W + 160 W High Dynamic Power/Channel (8/6/4/2 ohms) 105/135/190/220 W Damping Factor 250 Frequency Response 5 Hz-100 kHz (+0 dB/-3 dB) RIAA Equalization Deviation 20 Hz-20 kHz +/-0.5 dB Total Harmonic Distortion (CD to Sp Out, 20 Hz-20 kHz) 0.025% Signal-to-Noise Ratio (CD) 100 dB (S: 200 mV) Input Sensitivity (CD) 200mV/47k ohms Dimensions (W x H x D) 435 x 157 x 463 mm Floating and Balanced Power Amplifier with MOSFETs The basic design of the power amplifier circuit adopts Yamaha’s own, uniquely developed Floating and Balanced Power Amplifier technology. Adopting output elements with the same polarity on the plus and minus sides of the output stage, and also completely separating the NFB (Negative Feedback) circuit and power supply into total of four plus and minus sides of the left and right channels, results in thoroughly symmetric push-pull operation of the output stage, Completely floating the entire power amplifier circuit from the ground removes any negative impact of minute voltage fluctuations or ground noise. Moreover, the output elements are comprised of MOSFETs, which provide a warm and natural sonic character. The use of MOSFETs, which have the same polarity on the plus and minus sides, further evolves the ideal of a complete symmetrical design, to eliminate sound quality variations due to difference in polarity—a major distinguishing characteristic of the Floating and Balanced Power Amplifier—resulting in sound with a superior signal-tonoise ratio and superbly well-defined sound field. Dedicated single-ended amplifier for all types of audio sources Since this device employs a dedicated singleended amplifier, it provides excellent response in amplification of single-ended analogue sound from all kinds of audio sources, such as CD players of D/A converters—and the A-S1100 takes advantage of this in having been carefully fine-tuned for optimum sound quality. By fully utilising single-ended amplification, the A-S1100 transparently draws out the intrinsic qualities of your favourite audio devices, including those made by other manufacturers. All-stage full discrete configuration for strong reproduction of high notes This amplifier adopts an all-stage fully discrete configuration through all sound circuit stages, using only the most meticulously selected high-precision parts from input to output. (Applicable during tone control circuit defeat.) The slew-rate of the audio signal has been improved to bring lively and strong response to high musical notes. Moreover, the tone control circuit lets you switch to defeat state and enable a full discrete configuration that bypasses the op-amp IC of the internal circuit, simply by setting the BASS/TREBLE knobs to their center points. Thorough low impedance design ensures powerful bass response with extremely dynamic, energetic feel By strengthening the capacity of the high current route (raising the section area of the cable core wire to about 60% of that of the A-S1000) and by pursuing thorough low impedance design, including forming screwclamped wire connections of major ground points, the A-S1100 boasts excellent speaker drive power with a damping factor of more than 250 (8Ω, 1kHz). Along with the large-capacity power source transformer equipped with an EI core, this design delivers bass reproduction that is both strong and uplifting. Superior quality electronic volume control for optimum sound We’ve utilised a high-quality digital volume control specially designed by New Japan Radio Co., Ltd., which consists only of adder-type resistance, removing the impact of slew-rate decline or colouring of the sound, delivering higher purity in the sound, and excellent, fast response to large volume changes and steep transients. Moreover, the tone controls employ a triple-parallel method, minimising the detrimental impact on sound quality seen with straight-line tone controls. In addition, the bass, treble, and common circuits each utilise simple construction in which the NFB of the amp is not used and the CR elements are simply fixed in a straight line, ensuring exceptionally pure sound reproduction even when tone control is applied and superb response to audio signal transients. When tone defeat is applied, straight signal flow from only one volume circuit to a discrete configuration buffer amp is realised. Large capacity power supply unit delivers energetic, dynamic sound with fast response The A-S1100 employs an original EI transformer, carefully customised for optimum compatibility with the chassis. Combining four large capacity carbon sheath block capacitors delivers an energetic sound—even during high volume—that is possible only with the A-S1100. Moreover, since the control amp and control system is equipped with twelve shunt type local regulators that prevent deterioration caused by currency fluctuation, a clean and stable power supply is achieved. The EI transformer is mounted on the chassis using brass washer, restricting internal vibration that would result in noise. Symmetrical design in pursuit of ideal stereo reproduction The left-right symmetrical construction with the power supply in the centre and the power amp blocks on the ends achieves greater separation of the left and right channels—necessary for proper two-channel stereo reproduction—and ideal weight balance. Including fine tuning by a centre frame which extends from the front to the back of the casing and specially made metal legs (selectable from spike or pad), the A-S1100 has superb mechanical rigidity and installation stability that dramatically lessens the impact of external vibrations on sound quality. Discretely configured phono amp The phono amp is comprised of an MC head amp and an equaliser amp, each of which are discretely configured, resulting in a rich sound with pronounced musicality, when playing vinyl records with both MC and MM phono cartridges. Level meters visually reflect the dynamics in the music The centre of the main unit features level meters that provide visual enjoyment of the music as well, with the rapid and delicate movement of the needles. The meter is illuminated softly from inside by LED, giving a warm, beautiful lamplight look. The meter indicators can, along with VU display, be switched to peak display, and can be selected according to your preferences. The window of the meters has been precision-fit to the panel—completely flat, with no gaps—for an elegantly beautiful appearance. Elegant design with luxurious real wood panels The refined design and construction of the A-S1100 reflects Yamaha’s commitment to fine craftsmanship and art, uniquely drawing on its long experience as a world-class musical instrument maker. The metal front panel and the side wood panels have been beautifully integrated by the masterful use of advanced processing technology. Moreover, the dials and tone controls are machined aluminium knobs, for a richly textured finish and graceful touch. Original speaker terminals combine ease of use and beauty with high sound quality Our meticulous obsession with quality continues through to the speaker terminals, which are the last and crucial link in the audio chain. Featuring screw type terminals. with originally designed handles, these are created by cutting pure brass, enabling secure connection with no reduction in sound quality. Contoured to the shape of human fingers, they not only look beautiful, but can be turned easily and fastened tightly with minimal effort. They are also compatible with connections using banana plugs. Remote control with simple design and superior texture The supplied remote control features a design complementary to the aluminium panel of the amplifier itself, with a simple, easy-to-understand button layout and gorgeous metallic texture. In addition to the basic volume adjustment and input switching controls of the A-S1100, it can also be used for operation of the companion CD-S2100. Pictures:
  13. Hi all, I'm new to this forum still 😁 I've come across (what I think, with my limited experience) a good deal for a pair of Dali Zensor 7's, Zensor 3's and Zensor Vokal paired with a Yamaha RXV 1085 AVR for $2900 all up. (Brand new) Just wondering what your thoughts were on this and could help a noob in this world haha I like the Dali Zensor speakers, as my brother has a pair of Zensor 7 and Zensor 1 and Vokal (But I'm going to pay him a visit to confirm)... I'll be upgrading from a Sony Muteki system I bought when I was 14 (7 years ago) so should be a huge upgrade!

Hi all, im thinking is like to try a different 2ch amp at home. i currently have the Yamaha AS-1100 and am happy however curiosity has set in and an wondering if more power and a different signature sound will also satisfy me some might recall my adventure getting this amp and the fact I have a Matantz AVR still set up at home and utilise a Beresford to switch between amps for HT and 2ch listening. speakers are still KEF Q950 the Vincent SV237mk is still knocking at the door loudly and I see now the Rotel RA1592 is on sale at a lot of places for approx $2700. I know the Vincent is a tad warmer and more powerful but the RA1592!ivenot heard but see it to be more powerful- anyone have experience with this amp? being that I consider Marantz sound quite warm and smooth, the Yamaha sound is very neutral but still smooth (not as smooth), but not as “forgiving” as Marantz... To spend the money on anew amp I’m keen to look and listen to amps that have more power than the Yamaha as the KEFs like being driven to get the most out of them any suggestions out there to add to the list Vincent and Rotel? budget up to say $3500 but less if possible! Understanding I’ll get suggestions above and double that but springing to mind is Roksan, musical fidelity and I think Onkyo have one for about $3k also. Whatever I look at must have x4 analog rca options, digital inputs and dac not important as I have an Oppo 205 which I’ll connect to it for that purpose but it’s a full package like the Rotel that is fine also. thanks all keen to read your suggestions and any experiences

  22. Hi all Powerfull and well respected sub. Recently stopped working and upon inspection from the tech guys revealed a blown switch mode power supply. Cost of replacement parts likely to be around $100. Guessing total repair cost in the vicinity of $200-$250 including parts. I opted to buy a new Ultracube 12 instead of repairing it. Have a copy of the tech report via Challenge Hi-Fi. Cabinet etc in excellent condition. Best offer gets it. Pick up in Adelaide. Thanks
  23. Item: Yamaha RX-V2095 Location: Abbotsford, Melbourne Price: $300 Item Condition: 8/10 (No discernable marks) Reason for selling: Selling on behalf of my bro, who's moving to the US Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Find a review here Some words from my bro (although I think mostly from the Yamaha website ): "The RX-V2095 is a 7 channel receiver providing the finest performance and processing available for music and video sound. Discrete power transistors rather than IC chips are used in the amplifier section to provide the cleanest sound possible. The amp delivers 100 watts each to the five channels i.e. Main, Centre and Rear at a very low 0.02% THD and 25 watts each to the front effects. This amp is a true audiophile quality product in perfect operating condition. I paid $2,100 for this unit and it comes packaged in a rare Gold and wood styling. Included are remotes (Main and Zone 2), AM Loop Antenna and the original User Manual." Feel free to shoot through any questions and I'll answer as soon as I can . 24. My father-in-law is a mad keen audiophile, but at 67 years old is a little bit less capable on the Internet side of things hence he has asked me to help him sell off one of his bits of gear. I thought you guys here might be interested. Per the title, it is the venerable Yamaha DSP-A3090, made in Japan (and actually purchased there) - and there's the rub - it requires a power transformer, however one will be included in the sale (probably worth a couple hundred itself). It is in perfect condition. My FIL's thinking $1,000 but I highly doubt a 16-year old unit would fetch that much regardless of how awesome it's supposed to be so I'm open to reasonable offers and will let him decide. It weights friggin' 21Kg so pickup only, from Eastwood (BH) or Cardlingford (AH) NSW. Specs on the Yamaha site: http://usa.yamaha.co...__u/?mode=model Some rave reviews: http://www.audiorevi...26_2717crx.aspx Pictures of the actual unit:
  25. Circumstances change, I am in need of some money, the only i thing I can think of selling and get the sort of amount I am in need is to sell my Audio gears thats been less used in house. Selling Two months old paradigm studio 100V5 - Rosenut & Five months old Jamo S608 HCS10_SUB660 home theater package - Dark Apple. (its a 5.1 pack comes with 12" SUB happy to split if I find buyers for other stuffs.) Surrounds are not used yet, so still on the plastic wrap. & Ultracube 12V1. bought it as secondhand so dont know how old exaclty, previous owner said 3 years & Yamaha RXV1071 Receiver bought from JBHIFI - 6 months old. & Pioneer VSX920 Receiver - 2 years Old which i might keep as not expecting any good offers on it & Netgear Ready NAS 4bay with 4*1TB drives - NAS is 3 months old, drives are more older, dont know the exactly. NAS comes with my Bluray rip(720P and 1080P) Movie collection, almost full (Selling because i got a hp micro server with full movies) & Harmoney 1100i Remote - 3 months old Everything in good condition as I well looked after my stuffs. Only selling the ultracube12 and yamaha receiver if I can find a buyer for the above speakers. So thats the last priority. Dont know how much I can get for these, but i thought put it here first instead of listing it on ebay first and get an idea about the price. Will only accept serious offers, please no stupid offers. Will sell it if I got a good offer soon or else will keep it and find other ways to make the necessary finance. I got the boxes for both everything, but need to look for the receipts as I moved house recently and dont know where did i kept those. I am sure I can find those. Everything bought locally and i am located in Melbourne, but happy to post it anywhere on buyers expense or drop it of if the buyer is in Melbourne as I got an SUV. PM me.
