The router is dual band, operating at 2.4GHz and 5GHz and supports 802.11ac, 802.11n and 802.11bg with a separate high-gain antenna for each of the four spatial data streams. It features a 4x4 MIMO antenna design with beamforming for high network performance and wide coverage. I will perform a factory reset before shipping, but will make sure the firmware is the latest release. Full details can be found at https://www.asus.com/au/Networking/RTAC87U/ This router will work effectively with NBN providers who allow customers to supply their own router having a WAN port suitable for connection to the NBN-supplied connection box. It can also be used as a wireless range extender in an existing wireless setup. I don't have the original box, but I will package well for posting. It will be supplied with all the original box contents: ASUS RT-AC87U router 240V ASUS power adapter Quick Start Guide (please note I have written notes on one page as shown below) Ethernet cable Please don't be concerned with the red light showing in the first photograph. This light indicates internet status, and the router wasn't connected to the internet. Photos:

  4. Hi folks, I am moving to a new property, and looking at wireless options for my existing SVS PB10-NSD subwoofer. I am fairly happy with the sub, so dont intend to change anytime soon. However, as running a long cable to sub is not looking viable at this point in time, I am considering the many 2.4Ghz wireless kits available in the market. I guess what I wanted to know is, how is the quality of these kits ? Do they face any interference from the wifi or home appliances in 2.4 Ghz spectrum ? Please advise. Thanks.
  5. Item: Sennheiser Momentum Wireless Black Art no. 506250 M2 AEBT Location: Melbourne, 3068 Price: $220 (includes donation to StereoNET) plus postage Item Condition: Excellent condition only a handful of hours use and have spent the rest of their time in the soft case, I can't find a mark on them. Reason for selling: Can't turn off the active noise cancelling Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal (buyer pays fees), Bank Transfer Extra Info: This pair is the over-ear model For sale is a pair of Sennheiser Momentum Wireless headphones purchased June last year from Addicted to Audio here in Melbourne. They sound great the only reason they didn't become my go to wireless cans is that for some people active noise cancelling (ANC) can be sensed as pressure on the ear and I perceive this. The ANC cannot be disabled. In all other respects they live up to the Sennheiser sound and quality and any buyer happy with ANC will find these superb. It is time they were used again. https://en-au.sennheiser.com/momentum-wireless Questions welcome. Cheers, Nick Pictures:
  6. Hi folks 👋 I've had the Chromecast Audio for some time and am looking for another higher quality solution (won't be upgrading my integrated amplifier to get that functionality). I would like something that will allow me to stream music using my Deezer subscription and FLAC files from my Synology NAS. Are there similar boxes you're using? If so, which ones, and what are the pros and cons? Would love to hear your extended thoughts Thanks, Dan.

  8. Hi guys, I have been given a second wireless PS3 headphone set as a gift. The giver did not know I already have these. They are great as both wireless headset and wireless headphones and work on both PS3 and PC ... Although 7.1 via PS3 only, stereo for PC The microphone is particularly good and I have used these a couple of time to record podcasts as it sounds better than the $300 Yeti Microphone I used to use. As headphones they a also very good for wireless ones and the ear cups are bigger than on many, so it really is an over hear solution ... Many others I have tried squash part of my ears ... These are comfy. The are currently at JB for $150 http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/game/ps3/ps3-sony-wireless-simulated-7-1-surround-sound-gaming-headset/658293 I'm happy to pass these on for $90 including postage. PM any questions.

  10. Item: Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H8i Noise-Cancelling Bluetooth On-Ear Wireless Headphone Location: Sydney, NSW Price: $349 AUD (including postage / paypal fees) Item Condition: This unit was purchased from Minidisc in Australia in April 2018 and is in excellent condition, with only minor signs of use as pictured. Original purchase receipt is included for warranty. Reason for selling: No longer needed. Payment Method: Paypal Extra Info: This is a compact on-ear wireless headphone with great sound - punchy bass and a nice clear sound for vocals. I personally preferred the sound of the H8i over the H9i when I tried both, as the H8i has a richer, warmer tone. The headphone also has a great 30 hour battery life and excellent standby time, with fast USB-C charging. Pictures:

  18. Item: Yamaha WXA-50 wireless streaming amplifier Location: Melbourne, Northcote Price: $380 firm Item Condition: Refurbished stock from Yamaha AU, cosmetically almost mint, some extremely tiny paint chips on the lid that I could see. I'm picky. Reason for selling: Not being used Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Bought on a whim, never used it except to test it, and it works fine. I also bought the pre-amp only version which is more suited to my needs. Grab some speakers and off you go! Pick up very much preferred but if there are no takers I can organise postage for I would say $25 Oz wide. Pictures:

  20. Item: Sony MDR-1000x (beige) Location: Adelaide Price: 299 + add 15 for shipping aus wide. Item Condition: Good (would be perfect if not for one minor rub on one ear cup, see image) Reason for selling: Would love to keep these but heading backpacking at end of the year so almost everything is going Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: These were bought directly from SONY Australia and include receipt and warranty. These are the first wireless headphones I would classify as 'good' when compared to wired headphones. They are the first wireless headphones that throw a proper soundstage and don't sound weak or muddy. If you've tried wireless headphones in the past these are nothing like that. Whilst owning these I also owned Hd800 and Sony MDR-Z1r, but these got the most headtime simply due to their still great sound with amazing convenience. I have kept the box, manual and accessories which are all in original packaging. This model has the touch controls which work fantastically. Really need to sell as need the money, but selling my turntable was a bad idea so a small part of me also wants an entry level turntable to hold me out til I leave (possible partial trade). Pictures:
  21. Item: Master and Dynamic MW60 (WIRELESS) Location: Melbourne, Eastern Suburbs Price: SOLD Item Condition: Excellent, used a handful of times. Have original box, manual and carry case Reason for selling: Not being used Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only, ship at buyer's expensive Extra Info: Bought online overseas (Japan) Pictures: Will post some pictures tonight
  22. While nosing around for wireless HT options I came across a mob called Oneaudio, based in Hong Kong. https://www.oneaudio.cc/home They are using DECT technology to connect wireless speakers, and these appear to be 'true' wireless in that they are powered by battery so no power leads, or speaker cable. They offer a range of 2, 3.1 and 5.1 options. I have not been able to find any threads posts here about them, and their offerings. So I thought I would share and also ask what peoples thoughts are? J.
  23. 24. Item: Jaybird BluBuds Location: Eastern Melbourne Price: $99 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Airpods Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Bought probably 2.5 years ago, worn maybe 2 dozen times. I have a snap lock bag at home somewhere with some spare tips which I haven't come across yet but know they are there. Excellent fit when using the the little silicone wings and I've never had any issue with them dislodging and you don't even feel the wing. Very Good blutooth connection, has stayed paired with my iPhone without fail. You might occassionally get a 1 second dropout but nothing overly annoying. This always happened with me when walking or riding on busy roads and assumed it must have been the ocassional car looking for blutooth devices??? Siri works from the remote as does volume etc Pictures: Photos to follow from my phone
  25. I'd posted this over at Stereo.net, thinking this place was closing down. But since it's not, I'll re-post it here... I jumped on these early - had them since December 22. They're a big part of my week - use them every day at work & during my 3 gym workouts. The first hurdle is fit - if your ears are like the majority out there, they'll be ok, but unfortunately they can't fit everyone. No manufacturer can make ear buds that suit every ear, especially without rubber/foam covers. If they fit & don't feel like they're loosening during activity, then you're set. The next thing is Siri - if you've adapted to voice commands then their lack of physical volume/track controls won't be as big an issue as you think..... Initially, this was a deal breaker for me, but having taught myself to use Siri more frequently in the lead up to their unexpected release, I thought I'd give them a go. They were brilliant from day 1, & only get better as you get better with Siri. They're just so seamless in not only the way they connect to your IOS device (iPhone 6s user myself), but in the way they connect you with your device. Phone calls - The call quality (both ways) is great, even with background noises (I work with equipment fans whirring away behind me whilst on many calls during the day & the people I'm talking to say they're hearing me loud & clear). It's genius how you can talk for 2-3 hours, hear a low battery tone, take out one Airpod, place it in the charger for 10-15 to quick charge to near full, whilst you still talk on the other. Then after 10-15 minutes, you swap them over & quick charge the other whilst using the freshly charged one. Charging Case - This little companion completes the package. It's small enough to be mobile & fit in your pants/shorts coin pocket....it gives you 24 hours of charge & quick charges brilliantly, as mentioned above. Battery Life - Superb. If anything, Apple's stated 5 hours music & 2 hours talk time are conservative. I'm getting a little more for both. But it's really a non issue if you're packing the charging case. Music - Audio quality is noticibly better than the Earpods. Overall a richer, more detailed sound. I'm a big music listener. Love Spotify/Apple Music & have discovered more new music in the past 6 months than in the prior years as I have these things plugged in near all day. I don't need the best audio quality, just enough detail with the volume turned down or up, & compared the Earpods, these are superior in both regards. Tap commands - The simplicity & intuitive nature of either conjuring Siri (my preference) or Play/Pause music are great. & With IOS11, more options are coming with seperate tap commands for each Airpod (track skip/previous). Only a matter of time before volume tap controls are introduced, which will mean these things will sell big (bigger then they have already). Removing an Airpod pauses not only audio but also Youtube clips & resumes them all once placed back in.....clever . Noise cancellation - I've never owned noise cancelling ear buds, & due to the safety issues they can create walking down a street or at work, I'm thankful that I can still wear the Airpods whilst talking to a person face to face. Their loudness is high enough to drown out environmental noise enough for me (I don't recommend this, but I turned them up whilst mowing the lawn & was still able to enjoy my music. Gardening's now less of a chore!) Range - This is another huge plus... I'm able to stand 27m (personal best) from the iPhone & still get uninterrupted music. At gym, I can place the phone on the open locker & exercise anywhere within the complex whilst listening to my tunes & not the repetitive playlist of the gym itself. 6 months later, I'm still discovering reasons why they were worth the money spent. The way I see it, if you own recent iPhone/iPad, are able to work with Siri, & have similar use habits to me, then these are a must. Apple have managed to balance sound quality, mobility & practicality. As mentioned, Airpods seem to have a very decent package & whilst they're not world beaters in audio fidelity, they're not poor by any stretch. They even work with Android devices, albeit with less functionality & slower pairing. Anyway, I hope this helps those considering them. Any questions, let me know.
