  2. Up for sale is some nice vintage Luxman gear. A great buy for someone wanting quality gear and top tier sound at an affordable price without breaking the bank. I am looking to sell both the Luxman 507x Integrated Amplifier and the Luxman PD-370 Turntable together and have priced these items as a pairing. I do not want to seperate the items unless there is confirmed interest and a buyer or buyers for both items. The integrated amplifier has two MM phono inputs which is very handy. I had bought these a couple of years ago from sna member SteveM and was using
  3. Billy Joel - The Bridge US 1986 Pitman pressed original (Columbia - OC 40402) VG++/NM - STILL SEALED in tight factiry shrink. An awesome example of a 34 year old nugget. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Delivery Methods: NO PICKUPS SORRY - mail only. Bank transfers, or PayPal (Friends & Family only, no notes) are both welcome. STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: Once sold, a donation to SNA of 5% of items total will follow. Any title here gets a brand new inner and/
  4. Doors - L.A. Woman US 1976 Specialty pressed reissue (EKS-75011) VG+/VG+ Terry Dunavan mastered, butterfly labels, SRC pressed. Just very light marks to the front edges of the front and back cover. Plain generic paper insert. Wax is great - has marks and needs clean, but plays fine. Nice copy in this condition. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Delivery Methods: NO PICKUPS SORRY - mail only. Bank transfers, or PayPal (Friends & Family only, no notes) are both welcome.
  5. Further information: Excellent clear sound, Tested a couple of years ago by Duratone HiFi with full marks. Size 35 x 58 cm, see photo for parameters Can include (wooden) stands Photos: PLEASE READ If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved
  6. DELIVERY ANYWHERE IN AUS is included in bulk price. Charles Mingus - Presents The Charles Mingus Quartet Featuring Eric Dolphy 1971 SEALED vintage original US Barnaby reissue (Z 30561) VG++/Mint Recorded at Nola Penthouse Sound Studios, NYC, October 20th 1960 You could buy the Jazz Images recent repress and be bitterly disappointed, or grab a more reasonably priced 70's take like this one supervised by Jon Waxman, which probably had close to the Master tapes at hand? Some edgewear through the shrink (knocks), else the factory plastic is tight and the journey
  7. Further information: This is a sensational pair of Australian made monitors. I could wax lyrical about how great they are, but you can just read pete_mac's listing of a similar pair from a few years ago to understand how highly regarded these are -> If pete_mac says they are good, you know it's true.. Cosmetically, note these items: The cabinets are in VGC overall with just a few minor marks. One rear corner has a small ding. (see pic) If you have the time and patience, these cabinets would look amazing if you removed all the drivers then sand and re-stain
  8. Further information: This is a sweet little Denon tuner from around 1979-80 which was produced to match the SA-3900 amp. These units are very rare, and different from other Denon units of the same era - note the different logo and fonts on the faceplate. This tuner has a few scratches around the power switch, but all lights and the VU meters work. The tuner section is decent and will pick up stations with just bare speaker wire. The AM antenna is intact. There's some info on The Vintage Knob about the 3900 pair. SA-3900 & ST-3900 Note: t
  9. Further information: This is a really nice tuner from Pioneer's 1979-1982 fluoroscan series. It is super sensitive, picking up FM signals with just speaker wire. There are a few minor marks on the faceplate, but the pictures make them look worse than they are. The AM antenna is intact. If you own a 508, 608 or 708 amp, this tuner looks great alongside them. I've included a net picture as an example. Note: The Denon tuner in the picture is available in a separate listing. Photos: PLEASE READ If you are advertising multiple item
  10. Further information: I love this amp, but it is currently housed in my man cave and is not getting the attention it deserves. It should be with someone who will use it every day. It is a damn fine piece of machinery and happily drives pretty demanding speakers. It has that typical 1970s Kenwood sound – punchy, a bit forward, but never harsh or shrill. It got a write up at the Vintage Knob – so you know it has cred! http://www.thevintageknob.org/kenwood-KA-8100.html Have a look at a model 600 Supreme from 1975 and you will discover that the design philosophy of t
  11. Further information: OK, this one hurts..... This was my first foray into hi-fi and has travelled with me for many years. It is just plain gorgeous to look at and sounds a treat. It has that warm Marantz sonic signature, but never laid back and boring. Offers 30w per channel with inputs for tape, phono and AUX. Bass, Treble AND Mid controls. Each control is nicely stepped, as is the volume control. The tuner section is excellent too - very sensitive and picks up stations with a strong signal. Wheel has a nice weight to it. AM antenna
  12. Further information: I've owned this amp for a few years and it has always brought a smile to my face. It looks stunning and sounds amazing. Crazy amount of power on tap (110w into 8 ohms / 130 into 6). Side panels are custom made with high gloss Jarrah varnish - they really add to the presentation of this amp. There is a bit of pitting on the top of the amp, but a light sand and re-spray will make it look great. No major marks on the faceplate other than a small visible scratch to the top left of the Function Selector knob. It is a hefty 18kgs
  13. Item: Pioneer SX-408 Stereo Receiver Location: Monbulk, Vic Price: $50 Item Condition: Cosmetically 9/10 (mint) - it has no distortion when turning knobs, it's as clean inside as it is out, signal meter and lights work, only issue is it only has sound on the right channel, nothing at all from the left channel. Reason for selling: Clearing out my collection in preparation for interstate move later this year. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Pick up only, I only have time to post at work, and work don't like me posting items at all, so unless you're offering a f
  14. Further information: For sale is my Marantz PM-5. I have since gone down the valve route and need to move this amp on I purchased this second hand from Audio Connection approx. 3 years and I have loved it. Love the VU meters that dances along to the music (all working 100%) and the sound is huge and powerful. It switches from Class A (20 wattts) to Class AB (80 watts) via a button on the front although I have mainly ran it in Class A. Has lots of inputs including 2 phono (one with MC), preamp out and individual left and right tone controls. It also has a stunning
  15. Picked up a small old radiogram on the weekend, gutted it (was partially gutted already) tidied it up a bit and put my old Pioneer (SX-440) in there PS: My Kilpsch bookshelves did just fit in there too, but sounded crap, so pulled them back out and made some DIY stands for them instead
  16. Further information: Selling for a friend in Melbourne. Described as the Maltese Falcon of vintage JBL, these L212s are without the subwoofer, but sound so good they don't really need it, superb tweeters and fantastic midrange, with original grill covers, included is 3m of Belden speaker cable, good condition for age. Pickup in Sunshine, Melbourne OK. Photos:
  17. Further information: A classic vintage belt-drive turntable from Chuo Denki Corporation of Japan, home of CEC and CDC products. This is a fully automatic player with size and speed select as well as repeat function. The automatic play and stop works perfectly. It has the original headshell and is fitted with an Ortofon FF15XE MkII which is working fine and tracking OK but is on the older side of life so an upgrade to a new cartridge at some stage is worth considering. I have included a very nicely machined large hole 45rpm adapter. The belt has been recently replace
  18. Have had these in my possession for a short time but am unable to find the time or motivation to test or inspect them. They appear to be in good physical condition, however I have not had the means to test them or power them up. Needs to go. Happy to consider offers or inspections. Freight and packaging is estimated at about $90, mainly due to the weight of the power amp. Thanks for looking. Rob.
  19. ****PIONEER SX-3800 RECEIVER***** The Pioneer SX-3800 is an AM/FM stereo receiver incorporating a non-switching amplifier and digital, quartz-servo locked tuning. In Pioneer's extensive receiver lineup for 1980, the SX-3800 was in the upper third in terms of power and performance. It was rated at 60 watts per channel, but is clearly capable of delivering much more in practice. It had extremely low THD: .005%, and it's phono S/N ratio was an amazing 115dB. Very nice Fluoroscan machine with very clean and bright fascia plate with minimal marks
  20. Further information: FS a very nice vintage Luxman integrated amplifier with built in phono. Two phono inputs and 3 Aux inputs. Please look at photos. One knob missing a piece. Can connect upto 4 speakers. Can also be used as preamplifier. Also listed in the classifieds on SNA is a matching Luxman Tuner T-300V and PD370 turntable. Other equipment in the photos are for illustration purposes only and are not part of the asking price for the Luxman integrated amplifier. Happy to discuss a combined price for the Integrated, TT snd Tuner if a buyer is interested in putting together a matching vint

Please note that other equipment depicted in the photos are for illustration purposes only and are not part of the sale price of the Luxman Tuner. 22. Item: Luxman L-80 or L80 V, or any other similar pre-Alpine Luxman amp Price Range: $1000 Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: I am looking to provide a loving stable new home for a vintage integrated amplifier. . Please don't forget to report your post as FOUND when possible. (You can now delete this text).
  23. Hi guys, I've inherited a Perreaux 6000B and SM2 preamp in good condition. Given the age of these items I would really like to get them rebuilt with quality parts to last another 30+ years, by someone who knows what they're doing, is thorough and does a high quality job (including soldering and wiring cleanly). I am located in Brisbane and would prefer to have someone local to perform the work. If anyone has recommendations for someone to perform this work that would be very much appreciated. I've done an Internet search however haven't really come up wit
  24. Item: WTB: Wharfedale Mach 9 Speakers Item Condition: Used (can repair if needed) Extra Info: Perth pick up preferred but may consider courier depending on costs.
  25. Further information: Bought these a couple of months ago, before I settled a new house so, along with some other things, has to find a new home. Drivers are magnavox circa 1960s. Lovely sounding vintage speakers and selling with a (genuine) heavy heart. Photos:
