  1. This is a good little sub I’ve been using as my bedroom setup. Recently the amp module failed. I’ve had it replaced with a new one from Interdyn. Whilst that was happening I bought a Svs sb3000 micro , which I’d decided to keep as it’s much smaller for my bedroom, so this is up for sale. Its cosmetic condition is flawless , I can’t see any scratches on the gloss and the new amp works a treat. id rather a local pickup at this stage, I do have the original packaging so might be open to ship.
  2. Hi all, For anyone interested, your welcome to join us. The November 2012 meeting of the Sydney Audio Club sees us once again at Dence Park for an afternoon of fine music and sound and convivial company. Each month, the Sydney Audio Club presents the finest in high end audio systems for our members and guests. It's a bit like a private audio show once a month where you can hear and discuss equipment that you might not otherwise have the chance to audition. And you can bring along your own music to test the capabilities of the system or to just share with like-minded music lovers in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Our guest presenter this month will be Peter Thompson of Deep Hertz Audio (http://www.deephzaudio.com/index.html). Peter will be presenting a variety of equipment from: SVSound (an Ohio based speaker manufacturer), Wyred 4 Sound, Spread Spectrum Technologies, VMPS speakers and WyWires. Please refer to the Deep Hertz Audio web for information about all their products lines. Peter will be bringing 3 systems – the first two systems will be presented during the first session and the third during our break. Our first system will be the Australian debut of the all new Wyred 4 Sound mPRE preamp and mAMP monoblocks plus other Wyred 4 Sound products and VMPS speakers. Here is some detail: Wyred 4 Sound mPRE pre-amplifier: - Fully-balanced, dual-mono design - Three analog inputs - Balanced input/output - 24/192kHz DAC/USB - Headphone amp - Defeatable HT bypass - Remote Control Wyred 4 Sound mAMP monoblocks: - 250 watts into 8 ohms - Full-balanced, discrete FET input buffer - High efficiency, compact design - XLR/RCA inputs - 12V DC trigger Wyred 4 Sound MS2 Music Server Wyred 4 Sound DAC-2 VMPS QSO 626R Large Bookshelf Speakers, featuring FST tweeter, Neo Ribbon mid and 6" bass driver. SVSound will supply the bottom end with the debut of the all new SB13-Ultra sealed subwoofer: - 13.5" Ultra Driver - 1000 watt RMS (3600 watt peak) - 20-460 Hz +/- 3dB Our second system will highlight the Spread Spectrum Technology (SST) electronics designed by James Bongiorno: - Ambrosia Pre-amplifier - Ampzilla 2000 monoblocks These amps will feed the VMPS QSO 626R and SB13-Ultra mentioned in the first system. Our third system will be a smaller system. Here is some detail: Wyred 4 Sound mINT: - Two analog Inputs - HT Bypass - Aux Out (Preamp output) to incorporate a Power Subwoofer - Fixed Out to send signal to a recording device or feed a signal to a second system - ESS DAC S/PDIF inputs will support 24 bit 192kHz resolution files - USB interface will support 24 bit 96kHz resolution files SVSound Ultra Bookshelf Speakers are to debut at this event also. These are still in transit to Australia – should they not arrive then the speakers will be the outgoing M-Series bookshelf. Bottom end to be supplied by the SVSound SB12-NSD subwoofer pair. - 12" NSD woofer - Front firing sealed design All cables will be from WyWires. As is usual for our last meeting in the calendar year, both music sessions will be BYO after Peter’s demonstration session. Sources will be all digital this month, sorry no vinyl. We will also have an Oppo BDP-95 player (provided by a member) for playing the music of attendees. Members and guests are welcome to offer music to share with us all. So bring along your favourite music on CD/SACD, DVD-A and BluRay. All we ask is that the music and recordings be interesting. We'll ask you to tell us a little about the artist/recording before it is played. Tracks over 6 minutes will be faded out, to give everyone a fair go. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned veteran, you will have the opportunity to listen, learn and share your experiences with others of a similar mind. Members and Guests welcome – we are a very friendly club so you don't need to know anyone to join us for an afternoon of fine music and sound. We will welcome you at the door. Venue: Epping Creative Centre Address: 26 Stanley St, Epping Doors open 1pm Meeting starts at 2pm In closing, I’d like to mention that the Wyred 4 Sound mPRE and mAMP are still in proto-type and Peter is having them flown to Australia from California specifically for our club meeting. As well, Peter is based in Melbourne and he’s making the trip up to Sydney specifically for our club meeting. Such dedication and effort is most certainly appreciated! Thank you Peter.
