  3. Further information: Selling my Paradigm seismic 110 10" subwoofer. I've had this for 2 or so years now and love it to bits! It's small footprint makes it perfect for most rooms or behind a couch and this thing packs serious power at 850w RMS (1,700w peak) 17hz to 250hz Reason for selling is I'm in the middle of upgrading just about every part of my setup. It's in perfect condition and has never missed a beat. Will be sad to see it go. I can ship but buy must pay and organize pick up etc. Price is negotiable Photos:

  5. Further information: 250W class D subwoofer (500W peak), Black Ash finish 10" woofer & 10" down firing passive radiator. 3m QED 'Performance Audio-1' RCA interconnect pair. In excellent condition , small chip on the top front edge of veneer and slight fading of finish on top surface (see image). Purchased about 3 years ago. I had been using this with a Rotel RA1570 and a pair of B&W 685 S2 stand mounts in a big room (5x6m with 3.6m raked ceiling) and it filled out the bottom end really well. However, I have moved house and the HiFi now lives in a mu
  6. Further information: This Dynaudio Sub 600 was purchased brand new back in July 2019 at a well known HiFi store here in Adelaide. It was meant for a system set up upstairs at my property but this never came into existence due to renovations. (I had bought several items for a complete set up, Dyns special 40’s, Sub 600, Moon amp and Oppo 105D. I am looking to sell some of this gear here). It has unfortunately sat in the box for more than a year waiting for the right moment to be set up. But this will now not happen. I have unboxed it to listen to it. I have used it for about 3

  8. My nearly-4-year 4-way speaker project has reached a plateau. A little Tassie GTG today made me reflect that it's all been worth (some of) the struggle. The design and build thread is: The most recent photo: But this is a hobby, and this is SNA. Things must proceed. The words "so, it's basically the same as last time" really touched a nerve today (just kidding, you-know-who 😉). This must never happen again! I've played a few low tones and walked around the space - 10 x 6 m, with 3.2 m concrete ceiling, and noticed nulls, half
  9. I was struggling to make 1 subwoofer work with 2 amps so I bought a 2nd sub, a Dayton Audio slim subwoofer. It's only 100 watts and a 10" downfiring driver. I wasn't expecting much but I gotta tell you I'm pretty pleased. Gain is at just under 12:00 and the crossover is set at 75. Placement was a breeze. No fuss at all. Seems downfiring speakers negate or minimize peaks and valleys in sound travel. My room is 10x14. It's perfect. I know what it is but for $159 it solved a problem and I don't feel like I'm making any sacrifices. Plus it goes anywhere. On it's side, end, under a couc
  10. Further information: Owned from new, was used with a set of KEF HTC 3001 SE speakers for a very compact 2.1 music system but could easily be used on its own integrated into a HT system or any 2ch system. retail was around $899, from memory I paid $700 for it new. It’s a sealed subwoofer and very compact at only approx. 28x28x28 cm. pickup preferred as I don’t have the original box, otherwise freight at buyers cost. 11. I am in the process of building a scoop design subwoofer with a 1600 watt Celestion driver. I am seeking advice for how to power my sub once I have built it. I am looking at a Peavey PV2600 which can be bridged for a total 8 ohm output of 1800 watts. Since there is only one driver I am planning to use that option, I have read online that I can run this power to the one white mono channel on the driver. I am looking to find out if once I am running 1800 watts from the amp, how will I adjust the wattage to 1600 from 1800? I would really appreciate some help with this.
  12. Further information: Downsizing studio (mixers etc) and also my various speakers etc. One of the dust caps on 601s is broken but does not affect the sound at all. Included are good quality (unopened) crossover parts for DIY crossover improvement (to enhance the sound). Easy to do following on-line guide (or sell parts). The Sonic Solutions PB100 subwoofer is designed by B&W and built in UK. Cross-over frequency seems OK for the 601s3. Selling with studio amp (see seperate advert; Hafler P1000) and Preamp (see seperate advert; Perreaux SM2). Photos: PLEASE READ

  14. HI all. I have a stereo Setup (Denon DRA-375RD and Wharfedale Diamond 9.5) which i am relatively happy with for the time being (with the little one running around). It is mainly used for music but is also plugged into the TV for when we watch movies. The room is around 20sqm I was thinking of adding a smallish sub to compliment the system using high level inputs as the amp does not have a sub out. What would people recommend for a sub $500 sub, i dont mind purchasing second hand as i will eventually do proper HT when the little one grows up a bit.
  15. Hi Guys, another newbie question. I've been after some speaker wire. i've seen people use cat5/cat6 and all that but i think i'd just stick to standard speaker wires. I'll be using the furthest speaker with about 17-18m because of how the speaker wire needs to be routed. All speakers are rated at 150W but the Front ones that are rated at 250W. the amp will be set under the TV and the only wires to be routed to the right will be the front right and the Surround right all other ones will have to be routed through the left passing from the TV through Subwoofer, fron
  16. So i searched the web trying to find the best way to set up a subwoofer with a variable phase dial for a 2 channel system as i was having difficulties, when i stumbled accross this and thought it might interest people. Pretty easy and makes sense really. i got the same results set to 140 and they are perfectly in sync and sounds the best i have heard my set up its amazing. If anyone else has any worthwhile hacks i would love to here them. Also curious as quite new to subwoofers why all subs dont have a variable phase? He used this audio cd to find the frequency he needed

  18. Further information: Re-posted with lower price. Cherry wood veneer color. This is the first edition that uses a bigger box, down-firing. It makes for a good looking side table! 19. Further information: Up for sale are my 2 (small factor) subwoofers. These have a 12" down firing woofer with two 10" passive radiators on the side. Items can be split, and one of them has some more markings on the top than the other and will be cheaper priced. They both have build in EQ but you need to buy the paradigm PBK mic to be able to use it. (not included) Both can be shipped into their original packaging. Specifications can be found here https://www.paradigm.com/en/sealed/ultracube-12 Thanks to its design and use of passive radiators (also makes for great ha
  20. Further information: Rrp: $4199. Bought as a store demo 3 months ago. In perfect working condition. The unit has some cosmetic damage shown in the top cover (pictured) and there is one tiny 5mm hole in the cylinder cloth material. I have the original box and accessories - foam inserts. Prefer local sale as it's very big and heavy. Interstate sale possible but buyer to organize courier. Updated with 2 extra pictures of the 5mm mesh hole, one is a close up, other is zoomed out. 21. My current system consists of a pair of Infinity reference 152 speakers powered by a (recently purchased) Primare Prisma i15 integrated amp. I'd like to get more out of the setup, potentially with a sub. However, I live in an apartment, so volume levels can't be super loud. The listening space is also rather small - 4.5 x 7m room with the speakers facing in the narrow direction. Will a sub enhance the base performance of my system, even at low to medium volumes? Does deep bass penetrate walls to the chagrin of neighbours? Would I be better off investing in a higher-end pair of speakers?
  22. Hi all, great site Was hoping to get some advice or suggestions because the issue I am having with my sub is driving me to distraction! Hardware: Black Jensen SPX-19 glass-topped sub woofer (about 13 years old) driven by Onkyo receiver. Connected from amp via stereo RCA composite cables. Switch set to 'Auto'. Phase switch set to 'Normal' and 'Video/Audio' set to 'Video. I usually have the front 'Volume' left dial set to about 11 o'clock and the 'Frequency' right dial set to about 9 o'clock. Great sub and wonderful depth. Problem: Sub used to automatically go into standby mode (w
  23. Item: Looking for a subwoofer for my LS50 Wireless. Prefer SVS or KEF Kubes Price Range: $400- $1500 depending upon the model and condition Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: I am after SVS or KEF subwoofers to pair with my LS50 wireless speakers. 25. Hi all, At the moment, I have a Klein DAC III feeding a Primaluna Prologue Premium preamp feeding a Musical Fidelity A5CR power amp into Audio Physic Classic 30s. I have a definite technology Supercube 3 subwoofer and want to attach it to the system. What is the best way to do this? The preamp does not have a pre-out. Do I have to run speaker cables in parallel from the preamp, or is there a neater solution? Cheers,
