Further information: Many of you would be familar with the DSPeaker and the great job it does on calibrating subs. I used it together with a Pionner SC-LX receiver and 2x SVS PB-2000 Ported Subwoofers placed in a 4.2 x 4 m room. My receiver was equipped with the in-house developed MCACC. It does a great job in calibrating across the frequency range however it falls short is sub-bass calibration. I came across Anti-mode through various forums and reviews and promprtly order one together with MicAmp for Room measurement. It improved all aspects of sub-bass in my room - it brought down the boominess due to modes for a tight and focused deep bass performance. However retired it almost 2 years ago after I upgraded my receiver to a Denon AVR-X4500 which uses the Audssey XT32 with enough filters in the sub region. Have only been using the Mic and Measurement kit for REW in recent times. The measurement kit consists of the DSpeaker MicAmp and an external USB Audio Interface to be connected to REW installad computer. The Mic Calibration file is provided and it can be loaded into REW for precision measurement. No additional MIC such as UMIK is required. When I transitioned to the Denon, it took me a good few weeks of trial and error (and lots of REW measurement) with Audssey to finally get the bass 'feel' similar to what I experienced with the Anti-mode. This came as a suprise because I assumed XT32 would simply be better but the reallity was it was more or less similar - or at least that was my experience.
