I was sent a little something to have a play with today. The Hegel HD25 - which promises great things and reports indicate the same so far. I didn't have the chance to simply hook it up to CDP or other sources today, but I did quickly try and hook it up in place of the Burson Conductor DAC, via USB to my SBT. I should point out that I recently disabled Touch Toolbox and now have a standard SBT running EDO. Now the problem ... with the Hegel plugged in via USB, the SBT is stuck in a constant loop, rebooting. It basically boots, gets to the Free Your Music screen, then reboots again. The only way I can get past this is to disconnect the USB/DAC. I haven't had the need for a powered USB hub with the EDO previously. Is this a possibly explanation? Does anyone have any other ideas?
