Hey all, So, got the Sansui Au 2900 blasting nicely, trouble is we're now changing config of our living room and sadly my old Philips tower speakers have to go and need a MUCH smaller set up - ie bookshelf... so I'll be replacing them with either: Q Acoustics Q3020i Sonus Faber Chameleon B B&W 685 S2 or B&W 686 S2 KEF Q350 POLK Signature S20 Pro-Ject Speaker Box 5 OR.... Any suggestions from the audiophile community? I know I won't get anywhere near the same depth of low end that I currently get with the old floors (twin woofers), but I'd like something that will complement the Sansui and still give me a little bit of punch in a small package... help please?
Hey all, Long time lurker, firs time poster! I think I'm in the right area for this one... I've recently inherited an old Sansui Au 2900 from a mate... play my vinyls on it through phono - works a treat! BUT... try and play my CDs in the AUX, Tape, Tuner inputs - and only 1 channel works... what gives? I'm thinking I'll need to tinker and replace caps/trans? If anyone has ever heard of this before please let me know asap! I should add that it appears to be the left channel only - amazingly it sounds great, but nothing form the other side... Also should add that my "cd player" is actually my old Pioneer CLD 1850 Laserdisc player, I thought it might just be the outputs there, but I tried RCA and SCART out with same results. The optical out works fine on my Onkyo amp btw from the same player... Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Cheers!
