Further information: These amplifiers have hardly been used and are in excellent condition, they have sat on a rack then they have been sitting in the spare bedroom carefully boxed from an interstate move. Unfortunately moving into a smaller house means these amps will not get used, so they’re looking for a new home! Comes complete with all original factory accessories and packaging. Current RRP $4995.00 Enjoy an unheard of level of control and command from your loudspeakers with the Stellar™ M700, one of the most extraordinary under $5,000 power amplifier pair ever crafted. The M700 combines the slam, linearity, control and pacing of a Class D output stage with the warmth, grace, and rich inner detail of Stellar’s Class A Analog Cell. The results are nothing short of breath-taking. Liberate all the toe-tapping energy trapped in your media library. 5. Item: PS Audio Perfectwave Transport (110V) and Perfectwave Dac Mark 1 (240V) Location: Canberra, ACT Price: $1600 for the two combined, and if required postage and PayPal fees Item Condition: Used Reason for selling: Upgraded last year to the Directstream DAC and player, so these aren't being used and I want to make room for new gear! Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I purchased this Perfectwave DAC Mk1 (240V) new in 2011 and have been the sole owner. It's never missed a beat. While used cosmetically its in very good condition, with the removable plastic still in place covering the gloss black top plate, no visible marks on the casework, and the screen is clear and bright. Last year I got a really good combined deal on a new Directstream DAC and Player, so I went down that pathway instead of upgrading this one. Should you wish, PS Audio sell an upgrade kit to convert this sonically to a Directstream DAC for about $4000. I understand that the only differences then between an upgraded model and a brand new Directstream DAC is the IR port, which was also upgraded and becomes a round one not rectangular, and the absence of "Directstream" marking on the front casework. This DAC has the Bridge Mark 1 installed, but I've never used it, instead preferring a direct USB connection to a ROON Nucleus + for streaming. I purchased the Perfectwave Player used in 2012, using Audiogon, from the US, hence its a 110v model that requires a transformer, which is included. I've never had a problem with this arrangement, doesn't make any noise or cause any issue, but it may not suit everyone. When I received the player I soon found it would not read all discs (buyer beware!), and as a consequence I had a new DVD drive installed and its been super reliable ever since. Cosmetically the plastic cover was removed from the gloss black top plate, and there is some smudging of the gloss finish which I can't capture in photos. There are no scratches or marks to the casework. The "blue" colour of the power button is darker on the Transport, which can be seen in the photos. I assume this was just product variation. I've recently plugged this combo back into my system just to verify that everything works as it should. In comparison the newer Directstream Player and DAC are just more musically revealing and engaging, but of course they are also much more expensive. I'm very happy to demo to any locals who may be interested. The Remote control is of course included. I have the original double boxes for transportation. I would prefer local pickup, but not a problem to post. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  6. Item: PS Audio P300 Fully Balanced AC Power Regenerator, MultiWave II Version with 3 Euro outlets and power leads Location: Melbourne Price: $750 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Selling for a friend who is quitting high end audiophilia Payment Method: Cash, Bank Transfer or Paypal Extra Info: Comes with original double cartons for safe transport at buyer's expense if necessary, plus 1.5m Golden Sunrise power lead from high end German manufacturer HB Cable Design. I can't find RRP for this lead, but it's a heavy duty higher model with gold-plated Euro plug that would probably sell for over $500 (see photo and check their website). The most critical component would clearly be connected to this power lead. Two more standard power leads with Euro plugs are also included, so all 3 outlets can be used immediately. The original input power lead is supplied with multi-pin adaptor, or a 3-pin AUS plug could easily be fitted. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  7. Item: PS Audio Power Plant Premier AC Regenerator and Power Centre plus 5 Power Leads Location: Melbourne Price: $1450 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Selling for a friend who is quitting high end audiophilia Payment Method: Cash, Bank Transfer or Paypal Extra Info: 1500 watt high efficiency power regenerator with 5 individually isolated pairs of outlets to minimise interference between component types, remote or manual switching, DC triggers, highly sophisticated relay surge and spike protection including CATV & phone, front panel display of voltage in/out, mode and THD operated by remote handset or the front panel. This model incorporates 2 important remote-selectable conditioning options: "MultiWave" (an alternative to the AC sinewave with a waveform that allegedly enables components' power supplies to work more efficiently) and "CleanWave" (power equivalent of a variable frequency signal degaussing device, i.e. component demagnetiser). This model created a stir when released, as illustrated by the Robert Deutsch Stereophile review, courtesy of several innovative features: dramatically more efficient operation resulting from its patented "tracking power supply" amp design, allowing the unit to handle much more current without being too large or running too hot; new magnetic technology based on wound inductors built from strips of highly permeable "Nano Crystalline", with a minimal amount of copper wire for more effective filtering which preserves micro and macro dynamics; protection against moderate surges that last longer and can be more damaging, not just brief high voltage spikes; the ability to measurably reduce THD and magnetisation. All these features, plus its subjective performance in audio systems as hailed by reviewers, made it the world's most popular high end conditioner when released. This unit designed for our local mains at a nominal 230V comes complete with remote, manual and potentially enough high end leads for a whole system. Power leads included are the following: 8ft Audience powerChord with Wattgate IEC and AUS 3-pin plug to connect the power plant to the mains 4ft Audience " gold-plated US Marinco plug to connect a component to the power plant 3ft Audience " " 2ft Audience " " 3ft Heavy Duty No Brand with IEC and US mains plug " Despite finding a favourable 6 Moons review of Audience powerChords it's hard to establish an exact value for these cables, but I'm guessing they would have been worth at least $1500 new. As the power plant must be worth over $1K on its own, I believe the asking price for the lot is a bargain for the astute buyer. 8. Item: PS Audio GCPH Phono Stage Location: Blue Mountains NSW - can post Price: $700 Item Condition: Very Good (minor marks consistent with age) Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: For sale is the excellent and versatile PS Audio GCPH phono stage. I have owned this for around six years and it has performed flawlessly. Moving it on after acquiring a new phono stage up the chain, which has demonstrated just how good these units are. The GCPH is in the 'easy to use' category of phono stages, ie. the switches are all on the outside of the box making it reasonably straight forward to make adjustments. On the front is a mono / stereo switch, phase option and a volume control. Gain and loading are accessed at the rear of the unit. Gain options include: 48/54/60/66dB and loading options are: 100 / 500 / 1k / 47k. There is also the choice between RCA or balanced outputs. A remote control (never used) is included and can be plugged directly into a power amp, and with the volume adjustment the unit can be used as a preamplifier. The GCPH has a loyal following, and they don't come up for sale too often. There are plenty of positive reviews about the unit and forum chatter. I have the original packaging which includes the manual and remote. Happy to post at buyer's cost. Photos:
  9. Item: PS Audio PerfectWave DAC (upgraded to MK II) Location: Canberra region Price: $2,100 ono (i'll include shipping Aust wide) Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: recently bought a new DAC, this is now surplus to requirements Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal (buyer to pay fees), bank transfer Extra Info: I've had this since new circa 2012 and upgraded to MK II shortly afterwards. I recently had the pleasure to compare it with some current high end DAC's such as the Naim NDX 2, PS Audio Directstream, and Auralic Vega G2 on loan for home demo's. Whilst in the end I went for something new and different, it was in small degrees that the PWD II was bested as is the law of diminishing returns in this hobby of ours. At the end of the day the PWD is a really good DAC that is transparent, dynamic, musical and listening to music from it as the source is pretty bloody awesome. Other than being a really good DAC in its own right, the cool thing is that down the track you can upgrade to Directstream DAC, and also upgrade the Bridge to the mk II if you have Roon. Original double boxing and remote (mk II remote) included. I cant find OEM power cable so I'm including a 1.5m Grave Science power cable which is an upgrade in itself at no extra cost. From the Darko review of the MK II some years ago; https://darko.audio/2012/10/ps-audio-perfectwave-dac-mkii-review-part-2/ "Think of the MKI as a flat white or a cappuccino. Then picture a long black (Americano). That’s the MKII. It’s tastier and brings more zing. More kick too. Without the milk and froth, you’re closer to the bean, closer to the music. The MKI presentation is a shade more congealed that its successor. The NativeX-ing MKII is more proficient at clearing clean spaces between stage players without a thinning of acoustic mass. The PerfectWave MKII isn’t the best DAC in the world either. To say so is dumb hyperbole. Running up a Tom Evans amplifier and Avant Garde Trio hill against a dCS Puccini + uClock saw the dCS ascend with more graceful ease – the PS Audio unit was contrasted as a meal with beautifully presented tonal flavours but tainted by too much pepper and spice. There’s nothing out of the ordinary there. At AU$29k, one would expect the dCS to best the considerably cheaper PS Audio box. That the latter got so close with listener satisfaction and detail trawl is commendable." Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.

  13. Item: PS Audio Power Port Premier A/C Receptacles (x2) Location: Melbourne Price: $90 Each (RRP. $150) Item Condition: As New Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Can ship to anybody, anywhere, at purchasers expense I purchased 6 of these uber high quality receptacles for an installation of which these two are surplus. One can easily upgrade any AC device such as a power board or distributor/regenerator by replacing the standard items with these. The improvements are not subtle ! The Power Port Premier is a custom built, hand crafted 15 to 20 amp AC receptacle of the highest quality. The internal contacts are machined out of pure copper, polished and then direct gold plated, and unlike standard duplexes, it will never degrade over time. This duplex has a grip like a vice and allows your components to draw all the current they need instantly from the wall. The Power Port Premier will make a major improvement in the performance of connected equipment and will provide a life-long level of excellence. What makes this a Power Port Premier? To build a Power Port Premier they start with the most important element in any receptacle: the contacts. To build a high performance AC receptacle there are multiple requirements for contacts including, a solid grip, high purity base materials, superior conducting surface materials and a smooth polished surface. Solid Grip: Many AC receptacles have a loose and flimsy grip when you insert the male plug. This grip can get worse over time because the type of materials cheap receptacles use can develop micro-fractures at the hinge point. The Power Port Premier’s contacts have a strong grip that holds up over time because of the high purity amalgam of copper and spring tension metals plus the fact the contact itself is cast rather than stamped. High Purity Base Materials: Off-the-shelf AC receptacles are made from either low grade brass or stamped steel. Brass is a combination of low grade copper and zinc and steel comes in many grades, but the type used in these receptacles is the lowest possible. Copper is expensive and zinc is inexpensive. The tendency over the years is to increase the amount of zinc and lower the amount of copper in AC receptacles. From a conductivity standpoint the reduced copper content coupled with the increased zinc is not a good idea. The Power Port Premier’s contacts are cast from the highest purity non-ferrous material available: pure OFC copper and beryllium to maintain excellent grip. By keeping the pure copper content as high as possible, the base materials found in a Power Port are the finest made. Superior Conducting Surface Materials: The cast OFC beryllium contacts of the Power Port Premier are plated with pure gold through an electro-less process. Electro-less gold plating is the preferred method for coating an electrical conducting surface because it is free from flux-density and surface irregularities. Typically, gold plating is done through an electrolytic method where a current is passed through the part to be plated. Electrolytic plating creates deposits that have thickness variations resulting primarily from the shape of the electrical field between the electrically charged surfaces and the connecting cable. These deposits are thicker on corners and edges and surfaces where the distance to the cable is shortest. They are also thinner in the middle of surfaces, inside of holes and on surfaces facing away from the cable. Electro-less gold plating completely eliminates this source of variation. Electro-less gold plated deposits are uniform in thickness around corners, on both sides of a part, even on the inside walls of small holes that may be very deep. The Power Port Premier has been engineered to be the finest possible product made today. Polishing is the Final Step: Once the electro-less gold plating has been added to the OFC beryllium connectors, each Power Port Premier goes through a final step before insertion into the body of the receptacle. Each contact is hand polished to improve the surface smoothness and hence an increase in surface area and better conductivity. The Power Port Premier’s Body: The body of the Premier is cast out of a state-of-the art dielectric material known as PBT rather than the standard plastic or Nylon. PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) is an amazing semi-crystalline material that has one of the best dielectric characteristics for moldable material and is superior to even the standard Power Port’s glass filled high temperature nylon material. For example, the perfect dielectric constant (a measure of how well an insulator works) is 1, which is given only to a perfect vacuum. The lower the number, the better. A standard nylon or plastic used in the body of a typical AC receptacle has a dielectric constant of 4 to 5 but PBT is an extremely low 3 and is rated to insulate from spikes of over 20 thousand volts. Expensive X-ray equipment uses PBT to help maintain proper electrical conditions. To help your understanding of why this is important, think about a receptacle as two key parts: the conducting elements that pass the power and the non-conducting elements that isolate it from the outside world. Both are critical components in the perfect transmission of power to your equipment and in the Premier, both are perfectly addressed I the Power Port Premier. Installing the Power Port Premier: So what’s involved in outfitting your room with Power Port Premiers? Not much. They are incredibly easy to install, and come with complete instructions. They can accept wiring as large as 10 gauge and as small as 24 gauge. The top and bottom receptacles can be separated to run dedicated lines to each if desired. To install a Power Port Premier takes about 10 minutes. Turn off the power to the outlet. Remove the cover plate. Remove the two screws affixing the existing receptacle and pull the receptacle out from the box. Using a Phillips screwdriver, simply disconnect the wires from the existing plug and place them on the Power Port Premier. Reverse the removal procedure and you are done. Not only will the Power Port Premier ensure that your system will always be provided with as much power as your listening habits require, but it will also give you peace of mind that your AC wall plug is no longer the weak-link in your power chain. The AC Foundation: Starting with a good AC foundation is one of the hallmarks of a well built system. Nothing today will outperform the Power Port Premier with respect to what’s important to your system, proper long term power delivery. The benefits are both audible and visible depending on where in the AV system you place the Power Port Premier. Make sure that whatever you do in your system you do not skimp on the basics and starve your system. Good power delivery should be starting point in any high-end system.

The cable is Aussie made and is a great performer. I have upgraded. I had about five and this is my last of these cables. The new P15 model is now RRP $11,999 with a recent price rise so this represents good value. Have original double Box packaging but at this stage want a local sale as this is very heavy, ie. 38kgs. 17. Item: PS Audio P5 power regenerator in black - AUS sockets Location: Melbourne (Dandy ranges) Price: $2.5k Item Condition: Good 7/10 - Works perfectly, has swirl marks and a slight chip out of the back edge top section, I've never noticed it due to where its located in rack and where chip is. Front panel is in great condition. Will take pics tonight. Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: Great power conditioner/regenerator. Look up on Google for rave reviews and customer feedback. I loved it for my front end equipment, however now I'm using my P10 for the front end equipment as I've plugged my amps straight into the wall since moving house. There are two houses on the service providers step down trannie and now I can't hear a difference between my amps plugged into the wall or P10. Pick up only as I don't have the box. Pictures: To be added tonight.
  18. Item: PS Audio Nuwave DSD DAC Location: Bunyip VIC, Southeast Melbourne Price: $1400 + Shipping. Will deliver free anywhere in Melbourne if desired. Item Condition: Used, excellent, some minor/negligible hairline marking on the high gloss top when seen under strong light. Reason for selling: No longer required Payment Method: Cash - Paypal (add 3%) - Bank Transfer Extra Info: I bought this in March this year brand new. This DAC is the finest I have ever owned and I'm sorry to part with it. It was meant to be my endgame DAC, so its a regretful sale to a good home. The Nuwave DSD is the same DAC stage used in the PS Audio Stellar. It handles all PCM files, as well as DSD 64 and 128. I photographed the unit in natural light to show up as much of the surface as I could. As you can see, the very minor surface marks on the high gloss top are virtually invisible. I'm also throwing in the Cambridge Audio interconnects in the photo. I went deaf in one ear from an inner ear virus a few months ago, and have neither a need nor desire for my hi fi gear any longer. After months of deliberation, I've decided to sell it all, so please have a look at my other listings in case there is anything else you might like. You are welcome to come and pick it up from Bunyip, about 20 minutes east of Pakenham. I am happy to deliver it anywhere in Melbourne for free if you prefer. Alternatively, shipping can be arranged at the buyer's expense. https://www.psaudio.com/nuwave-dsd/ https://www.stereophile.com/content/ps-audio-nuwave-dsd-da-processor Pictures:

  23. I’m thinking my next upgrade could be either a PS Audio DirectStream Junior or a Devialet 200. Both mean I could sell my Chord 2Qute DAC and my Bluesound Node 2 streamer. Devialet means I could also sell my amps. I listen to only Tidal (and a few tracks from a Synology NAS). PS does MQA full unfold. Can anyone provide some advice on this or comparisons? Thanks

  25. Item: PS Audio LANRover USB Transporter Location: Sydney Price: $450 ONO Item Condition: Excellent, however with no original packaging 100% functional condition. 95% cosmetic condition, there being some slight marking to the mirrored labels from wiping away dust. Reason for selling: Purchased a Sonore Rendu Payment Method: Pickup preferred but could easily post Australia wide - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I purchased this device in late December 2017 from Mike Leneham and used it between a MacMini and Oppo 105D. To be honest I can't give an accurate portrayal of it's direct effect on my system as at the same time I also introduced an Isotek power conditioner & cables, a Nordost USB cable, and the aforementioned MacMini as a dedicated Audirvana server. Combined however they were a most positive development Anyway, as discussed in this REVIEW the LANRover provides the following: Regenerates, cleans, and reclocks USB audio data Galvanically isolates DAC from computer or music server Buffers and retimes audio data irrespective of computer or server Removes any need for separating 5V from USB cable Eliminates computer jitter Removes computer digital and power supply noise Increases possible distance between computer and DAC from a maximum of 5 meters to 100 meters Works over home LAN router Place computer or music server in one room and DAC in any other Dramatically enhances sound quality of USB audio Works with PCM or DSD audio PCM to 352kHz, single or double rate DSD Requires no additional software Works with any installed USB driver Windows, Linux and Mac compatible Thanks for looking!
