  2. Hi, New member to Stereo.net.au and loving it, I need some help/advice please. I am building a new house (4 months) and Im going a dedicated home theatre room 7.3m x 4.2m. Ive decided to go a AT screen either Woven or Perforated as i want as big as i can fit comfortably in that room, my concern is the brightness, Most i can find have gains of around .8 to .95 The projector is a Sony 570es (695es) native 4k with 1800lumens, My concern is the size of the screen being 140inch, the throw of around 5.5 - 6m and AT screen wont get very bright. As i would like to hit close to HDR colours/brightness if possible. If anyone has any recommendations i can consider, or better yet has a set up similar that can share experience with. Appreciate your time.

  5. Item: 2.37:1 Velour flocked cinemascope projector screen. Location: Cairns Price: $400 + shipping Item Condition: Brand New but with nick in 1 corner (see photos) Reason for selling: Replaced by supplier Payment Method: Pickup or Delivery - Cash, Paypal, Direct Deposit Shipping Dimensions: 1860 x 210 x 240 approx 10kg Original Product: https://www.selby.com.au/electronics/projectors-accessories/projector-screens/cinemascope/120-inch-cinemascope-fixed-frame-projector-screen-sacs98120.html Screen Dimensions: Frame: 3006 x 1386. Screen: 2810 x 1190 Extra Info: Purchased from Selby Acoustics but velour had a nick in it so was replaced by the supplier. I was only chasing a replacement of the top piece of the frame, as everything else was perfect. You wouldn't be able to see it from your seating position anyway as it's on the back of the top back of the frame, and not on the front anyway (see photo). When the replacement arrived I just pulled out the frame piece I needed and assembled my original screen, so the screen fabric and everything else is brand new in the box and unopened. Picture of assembled screen is my original one as the replacement hasn't been assembled.

  13. Its about 12 months old it has a very tough aluminium frame with black velvet around it. Its curved so you get light evenly around the sides as well and a little more immersive. The material is matte white similar to the Technics ones, overall it has a very nice picture. Asking $550.00. Pick up in Sydney. Can send photo via PM if interested.
  14. Can anyone tell me the difference between 4k and normal 1080 projector screen? Is it gimmicky or is it something legit? example: http://www.ozts.com.au/
  15. I am looking for some pictures and ideas for DIY masking for my screen. I first bought a 135" scope screen and zoom my epson projector to fill the screen, was pretty happy with it till I found watching 16:9 movies or music videos is really hard as the projector doesnt have lens memory I have to manually zoom it. So I bought a 16:9 screen now I can play both content but the problem is when playing scope content the top and bottom black bars which really annoys me. I now have both of these screens and I am happy to keep either one of those which I can make a perfect cost effective masking system. I know many of you guys did DIY masking here, so if you can share some picture and ideas that would be really great. Changing projector with a lens memory is an expensive option and my current epson is only a year old. Thanks in advance.
  16. Hi all, Finally moved in to my house and am looking to get a screen of around 2.5m width with overall case length of around 2.8m. I need a leader of around 600mm. Ceiling height is 2.7m with a light fitting coming down 400mm in the centre of the room. Preferences are motorised, can you good people put me on the right track for options. Am looking at LP Morgan, they are pricey though (50% the price of the projector roughly) Are the cheaper ones good value for money? Thanks Roh.

  18. Hi Guys, Sorry, I know this has been asked many times and I have gone throught alot of threads but still not sure what's the correct answer for me. I am really confused with this and will really appreciate some help. I am planning to buy Panasonic ae7000u for dedicated theater room - 4.7 m x 4.4 m (screen wall - height 2.7 m). I saw LP Morgan 132 manual masking screen demo and absolutly loved its cinemascope. But for 16:9 aspect, my first impression was the screen ia not grand enough and wasted too much screen space on sides. But the whole focus was on cinemascope, so not sure if 16:9 was Ok or not. I will be using my project to watch foxtel (sports, movies), blu-ray movies and xbox/ps3 games. Considering all of the above, what is the screen size and aspect radio you guys recommend for me. Many thanks for the help. Regards, Leo
