  1. Item: ProJect 2Xperience SB Location: Melbourne Eastern Suburbs Price: $999 firm (RRP is $2000) Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Upgraded Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I bought this off a SNA member around 18 months ago (he was first owner) and had owned it for roughly 6 months from memor Project screw on record clamp, upgraded Cardas tone-arm wire, highly regarded Audio Technica 440MLb cartridge, all original accessories and original packing, More information here https://www.project-audio.com/en/product/2xperience-sb/ I also have a separate ad for the Aurealis phono cable I'll be putting up shortly that I've always used with this. Prefer local pick up as it's had the set up fine tuned by a few of the local SNA Vinyl heads and don't wish to put that to waste by packing it up. Being a busy fella who travels for work a fair bit, I'd say I've only played somewhere between 75 and 100 albums since owning this. I found it a massive upgrade from the ProJect Xpression 3 Carbon I owned previously. Much better isolated motor giving lower noise floor. It also has an electronic speed box controller built in (hence SB in title) as compared with older Project tt's and easily switches from 33's to 45's at the push of a button, no swapping pulleys etc. In the right (wrong?) light there are very fine polishing swirl marks on the removable acrylic cover, as shown up by my camera in the last photo with a bright light directly above, but they are not readily noticeable in situ. I think these are largely unavoidable if you dust/clean your gear regularly. Otherwise it is unmarked. Pictures:
  2. Item: ProJect Debut III turntable in piano black Location: Sydney, Camperdown Price: $250 Item Condition: Very good (no dings or obvious scratches or scuff marks) Reason for selling: Upgrading Payment Method: Pickup + Cash or bank transfer and post (I have the original box) if you pay shipping cost Extra Info: I've had this turntable for ten years and it has been very good to me. I've only recently replaced the stylus and upgraded from the Ortofon OM5e to the OM10, which has been a noticeable improvement. I estimate the new stylus has less than 5 hours on it. I'm pretty sure I have everything that it came with, including the box, so I can pack it for shipping if you are prepared to pay the cost. Pictures:
  3. Item: Pro-Ject 1-Xpression III Comfort Turntable with BONUS 2M Blue Cartridge with a new Blue Stylus Location: South East Melbourne - BUT Will be in Sydney during Christmas til mid-January and will bring the t/table with me. Can pick up from Lugarno or I can deliver in Metro Sydney. Price: $600 Item Condition: Used; Table 9/10; Cover 6.5/10 Reason for selling: No longer required, getting out of hifi completely. 😞 Payment Method: Cash is King! Pick up from Bunyip, OR can delivery anywhere in Metro Melbourne before December 21 or after January 13; OR pick up from Lugarno in Sydney or delivery anywhere in Sydney between Christmas and mid-January Extra Info: All original packaging included. Standard 2M Red Cart and Stylus; BONUS 2M Blue new stylus and 2M cartridge. I bought this at the Hi-Fi Trader in Newtown in 2014. It has been very well looked after and plays fine. It has a speed adjustment control on the front left, and the start/stop button next to it. Also features an automatic shutoff and tonearm lifter operated by a photodiode, so there's no mechanical actuator connected to the platter, motor or tonearm. I upgraded the motor isolation with the Henley kit. Tonearm was re-wired through Carlton Audio earlier this year because I accidentally pulled off a connector when changing the cartridge. There is a brand new 2M Blue stylus which has had less than an hour's playing time with a 2M blue cartridge. These are in addition to the 2M Red stylus and Cartridge which are stock. The Red cart and stylus would have had 50 to 80 hours of use. The only thing worth pointing out is that the plastic lid is in less than perfect condition as you can see in the photo. There are no cracks at all and it works fine. I always had it covered with a soft hand towel but it has some cosmetic wear nonetheless. I am happy to deliver anywhere in Melbourne Metro, or you can pick it up from Bunyip, a bit further out than Pakenham. I will be in Sydney between Christmas and mid January, so a pick up from Lugarno or drop off in Sydney Metro area can be arranged during that window of time. A few days after Christmas I'll be in the Bulli area as well. We can arrange something I'm sure. Please PM me for any interest. My phone's always on with the SNA app, so I'll keep in prompt communication with you. https://www.project-audio.com/en/product/1xpression-iii-comfort/ Pictures:

Item Condition: Used, excellent, see photos Reason for selling: No longer required. Payment Method: Cash; Paypal (add 3%); Bank Transfer Extra Info: I have had this unit for about four years and it has performed with excellence the whole time. It is in excellent condition, as can be seen from the photos. Comes with power supply. I went deaf in one ear from a virus a few months ago, and have neither a need nor desire for my hi fi gear any longer. After months of deliberation, I've decided to sell it all, so please have a look at my other listings in case there is anything else you might like. You are welcome to come and pick it up from Bunyip, about 20 minutes east of Pakenham. Or I am also happy to deliver it anywhere in Melbourne for free if you prefer, if you buy one of my other items I currently have for sale here. 7. Item: ProJect Debut Carbon turntable in blue with Ortofon OM10 cartridge, dustcover Location: Toowong (Brisbane Inner West), QLD Price: 250 A$ ONO Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Upgrading Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal Only Extra Info: Up for sale is my ProJect Carbon with Ortofon OM10. Great little turntable to get started, and a nice looking one too (of course, that's subjective ). I'm selling this one since I'm upgrading to a Clearaudio Concept. I do have the original box, so I could potentially ship. But at the moment, I'm looking at local offers, since shipping would be a significant percentage of the cost of the turntable itself. The turntable and dustcover are in great condition, no scratches on the TT, no visible marks or cracks on the dustcover. I'm going to go over the TT again to double-check, will update with photos if I find any blemish. If it's a local pickup, you can test it out on my system (It's hooked up to a DB systems phono pre-amp and Eric McChanson 300b SET amp). Edit : Marked the price down in-line with what I've seen other Carbons go for here Pictures:
  8. Item: Pro-Ject Xpression III Comfort Turntable (turntable only - cartridge and stylus not included) Location: Brisbane Southside Price: $650 $625 $590 $500 firm.. Item Condition: Excellent condition with near new belt. Owned since new, 2014. Not many miles on the clock as it was only used when I was on breaks from FIFO job. Works well and keeps good speed. Reason for selling: Heading back down vintage road and need cash to fund the journey. Payment Method: Pickup Brisbane Southside, Cash, Paypal. Courier outside Brisbane $25 so please factor this in. Extra Info: Sale for Turntable only. Cartridge/Stylus is NOT included as I am keeping for new deck (It's a Garrott K3 and sounded great with this TT). Bought turntable new in 2014 from Decibel Hi Fi in Brisbane for $985. Also used Decibel to service the turntable. The 'Comfort' version features auto-return. Includes a basic felt mat to get you going. Link to specs at Pro-Ject site. http://www.project-audio.com/main.php?prod=xpression Pictures:

  10. Item: Project RPM 5.1 with Ortofon 2M Blue cart Location: Kogarah Price: Sold Item Condition: very good Reason for selling: need funds for a new amp Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I bought the turntable two weeks ago but now need funds for a new amp so I’m seliimg the project RPM 5.1 and the Jasmine phono (will list the phono for sale later today). Pro-ject 5.1audiophile turntable with the Carbon fibre arm and matched with a nice Ortofon 2M Blue with around 250-300 hrs. Comes with a "Cover-it" dust cover, power supply, phono cable, and original shipping boxes. The dust cover had a few marks and got slightly bent on one side but it’s fully functional (see pic). Please note; the speed box in the pictures does not come with the unit. Pictures: hope the original owner doesn’t mind me using his pics.
  11. Item: Project 1Xpression Carbon Turntable w/ Ortofon Bronze and Ortofon Silver Cart Location: Melbourne City Price: SOLD Item Condition: Used but excellent working order (small chip on right of plinth (see photo) Reason for selling: Upgraded Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal Extra Info: I have had this turntable for about 18 months and upgraded the cart to an Ortofon Bronze about six months ago. I would estimate about 100 hours on the cart and the kit works perfectly. Apart from a slight nick on the side of the mahogony plinth, the unit is in great working condition. I have moved onto a significant upgrade so this turntable is no longer required but I'm sure it will give the next owner many years of enjoyment. http://project-audio.com/main.php?tech=1xpressioncarbon&cat=default&lang=en All the bits and pieces are included including standard RCA cable, power supply and I have popped into the box, some isolation feet (that makes a massive difference) and the standard Ortofon Silver cartridge, manual, dustcover etc. This has been carefully packaged in the original box so can easily be trnasported across town or across country. This turntable and cart retail for +/- $1700 so I think this is a pretty fair price and therefore non-negotiable. Thanks for looking Pictures:
  12. Item: Project Carbon Debut with Ortofon OM10 cart. Cork & felt mat Location: Perth (Fremantle) Price: $280 Item Condition: 8/10 Reason for selling: Upgraded Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: This was my first turntable and its served me well for the last few years. Its a good entry level table with lots of reviews on the net. Its all working wonderfully and the 8/10 condition is for minor scratches that you can only see if you look hard. I don't have the original box, so would prefer a local buyer. If there is no interest this week I can post at buyers expense. I am keeping the cork mat that's on it, but have another one (slightly thinner) that will suit. Pictures:

Reason for selling: Bought another to upgrade my setup Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Extra Info: ProJect Xpression III Comfort with new cartridge Ortofon 2M Blue for sale.http://www.project-audio.com/main.php?prod=xpressioncomfortI am selling my turntable due to upgrade to the next level gear. I bought it 2.5 years ago with Ortofon 2M Blue, but as you can see on the photos theres Sumiko Evo III mounted since I bought the turntable. That is why I would say the cartridge almost new as it might be hardly in an hours usage. I have mopunted it back before taking photos. The turntable in perfect conditions, with no marks or scratches on it. Its been in my living room where I gently look after my gears. It comes with original box and power supplier.I do not know what price now this turntable has, but I paid around $1400 with the cartridge. I am asking $700 for this combo. Please, feel free to contact me if you interested to buy it. Pictures:
  15. Hi all. I've been loving the vinyl more and more. I've had the same setup since about 1997, when I bought all the stuff new, and I've been really happy with it all. I am lucky to have been able to put together a new system, which is much more revealing than my other. Currently running Stereoknight m100 tube monos balanced into W4S step-se pre and on to Osborn Epitomes. I am currently auditioning a SS power amp that may suit the room better. We'll see! I have a digital front end now too. The phono setup is a Pro-ject 6.1 with an ortofon mc10, via a Creek OBH-9se phono stage. I am gradually picking up some higher quality pressings of some of my old faves. I'm also listening to all my old Cure, Stones, Zep, Hendrix, Beatles, Purple, etc on vinyl - all sounding pretty great. as my system is entirely balanced, I am also interested in a possible rewire of the arm to run a balanced signal right through. So I'm imagining either: 1. A new phono upgrade throughout 2. Some component upgrades, such as the cart or phono stage I'm interested as to where the best bang for buck would lie.... many thanks!

  17. Hi all. I am looking at maybe making a passive preamp/attenuator, and was wondering where the best place to get a good quality cabinet to house it all is? I intend to surround it in a nice timber at some stage, so it's more about the general quality. I imagine I'll eventually put a front and sides in timber, possibly with cutouts around the various controls. I've seen many on eBay and so on, but no nothing about what exactly to look for once I know the side I need. Cheers, Mat
  18. Hey guys, I don't know if this is the right category for my question but if it isnt please move it, Everyday on my way to school I like to listen to my music out loud with my friends, I used to do it with my phone but it ends up hard to hear especially with traffic and such, I made a pair of logitech ls11 speakers portable by powering them off batteries and putting them in a cardboard box, They were alright volume(About as loud as my phone) and had a bit more quality than my phone, But they ran out of batteries within an hour of use and that was getting inefficient and expensive. So i've decided I want to undertake a project where i'm going to use a 12v sealed lead acid battery and use it to power some speakers and a sub. So heres what I need. *Speaker, Preferably a full range car speaker of some sort *Subwoofer, Needs to provide good bass at loud volumes *LOUD, Most important bit, Needs to be quite loud that can be heard easily over traffice with good quality and bass *Portable, Needs to last for atleast 2-3 hours a day and be light. * Size, Needs to fit in my schoolbag with a bit of room to spare. *Rechargeble *Enclosure for all the speakers This is my schoolbag, It's a Nike one its not too small but its not very big eitherhttp://sportitemsstore.com/product/nike-backpack-bag-sand-blue-athletic-school-gym-travel-laptop-bags-ba4378-414/ I can build my own enclosure. So does anyone have any tips or anything? I was thinking 4 inch car speakers and a 6 inch sub? It needs to be around $100-120 And available in Australia Cheers
  19. Item: Pro-Ject RPM9.1 turntable Location: Reservoir, VIC Price: $1195 Item Condition: Excellent 9/10 Reason for selling: time for a change Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: "The Pro-ject RPM9.1 is a high quality turntable which features a stylish design and delivers an excellent performance. It features a curvaceous and sumptuously finished gloss graphite plinth which is supported by three Sorbothane-damped aluminium, height adjustable cone feet, a sandwhich design, resonance optimised acrylic platter and a separately mounted metal-housed motor for minimum vibration transfer. The RPM9.1 comes fitted with Pro-ject's 9cc straight 9" tonearm which reduces toe-in errors, plus the arm and headshell are made from a single piece of carbon fibre for excellent stability. Ready for use with your choice of cartridge, the Project RPM9.1 delivers a superb sound and will add a touch of style to any hifi rack. To complete your turntable, we'd also recommend a good quality cartridge such as either the Grado Prestige Gold or Goldring 2500 Moving Magnet cartridges or the Ortofon Rondo Red Moving Coil cartridge." Times change and I am selling my beloved RPM 9.1 It is in superb condition with not a blemish to marr the glossy graphite finish as it has always been stored under the original custom dust cover, included in the sale. The turntable has a fantastic sound; authoritative and muscular (characteristic of it's high-mass design) and still capable of exquisite lightness and subtlety when required. My favourite thing about this 'table has to be its ability to suppress superfluous noise. Music leaps out of inky black backgrounds - between tracks on a clean record you hear nothing, you'll think you forgot to drop the needle - and even surface noise from older discs is minimised, leaving just you and the music. Included in the sale is: -The turntable and 9cc carbon fibre tonearm -All of the original packaging, including foam and plastic bags -All original manuals, accessories, and allen keys for adjustment -The original power supply -The original custom RPM 9.1 dustcover, valued at $299 I am also including the Pro-Ject Align-It cartridge alignment tool, designed specifically for the perfect setup of Pro-Ject turntables, valued at $149 on its own. Due to the inclusion of the relatively fragile dust-cover and cartridge alignment tool, neither of which fit in the original box, local pick up in Reservoir (3073) is preferred. If you are out of town or interstate I can organise packaging and shipping at your cost and risk. Please note that the turntable comes without a cartridge and the pictured cartridge is NOT included. I have run it with both a Denon DL-103R and the Ortofon Rondo Blue and can highly recommend both combinations. The Denon was a big rock-y sound and the Ortofon is more refined, it depends what you prefer. I'd consider a trade for a Rega RP6 (ideally, black) in new or near new condition. Pictures:
  20. Hi, I'm completely new into vinyls and about to pull the trigger on the Pro-ject rpm 5.1 for just a bit over 1k (trying to keep around the 1k mark as we all know eventually this might change) Are there any other suggestions? happy to go 2nd hand Any recommendations would be appreciated
  21. Hello! I've got a Woo WA22 that's got balanced XLR inputs, and I want to take advantage of them. So I'm split between the new Project Phono Box RS:- http://www.project-audio.com/main.php?prod=phonoboxrs&cat=boxes?=en The Violectric PPA V600:- http://www.violectric.de/Pages/en/products/ppav600.php And the PS Audio GCPH. I'm auditioning the Violectric and the GCPH, anyone heard the Project? Opinions would be great on the use of the balanced use of these phono stages. Thanks
  22. Gday Guys, Well I recently came across a good condition Technics 1200 mk2 for cheap from a good friend of mine. It is in original condition and has had some DJ and general play use, a few cosmetic marks on it but everything seems to run fine. I will be looking at getting it serviced in Perth as step 1, so far I've found on place online called Ettric Audio Visual, has any one had any experience with them or can recommend any one else? Mainly, I am looking for tone arm suggestions for it, I'm currently eyeing out something from Origin Live, perhaps the Zephyr, or an SME 309. I was looking at the wand arm for a little while, while it does seem to be very good value for money, and it looks quite spiffy in my opinion, I think I'd miss having a cue lever and a little handle to pick the arm up with to much. I will be using my current 2M Black on it, so good matches to that cart would be very welcome. I'll also end up chucking a Herbies Mat on it as I love the one on my current Rega and probably won't switch for a very long time - if ever. The other upgrades I'm looking at is the Platter, PSU and bearing uprgrades. However, I think I'm a little iffy about these, as they are pricy but I'm unsure of the real sonic benefits of these upgrades, any insight would be appreciated. All suggestions are welcome, so don't be shy! Cheers, Sam PS: Once everything has been decided, I will post an upgrade log with some pics and give my opinions vs the Rega.
  23. Item: Project 1Xpression turntable, Speedbox Mk II speed controller. Turntable bought new 2004, speedbox bought new 2008(?) Location: Brisbane Price: $250 - SOLD Item Condition: Plenty of use, no abuse. Turntable lid has the usual marks. Paint has been worn off the plinth where the front corners of the lid touch it when the lid is closed. Three very small marks to the paint on the platter (see photo). Speedbox is pretty much immaculate. Reason for selling: Upgraded Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: This is a great starter turntable. I've got a lot of pleasure out of this table over the years, and will be sorry to see it go but better it gets appreciated by somebody else than gather dust. This is the first version of the Project 1Xpression, which was an upgraded version of the Project 1.2. The carbon fibre arm is fully adjustable (inc. VTA, Azimuth etc) unlike some of the other Project arms. I upgraded this with a Speedbox II controller, which improves the sound considerably (and makes life easier for lazy people like me who don't like moving the belt manually to change speeds). Also includes optional heavier counterweight (cost me $60 I think), so you have both the light and the heavy weight, meaning you can use pretty much any cartridge you like. I was using a Benz cartridge in recent times. It currently has its original Ortofon OMB10 cartridge reinstalled. I am happy to leave this installed for no extra cost, however it will probably need a new stylus (can't remember how many hours it would have had on it, but I certainly used it for quite a while before swapping it out). If not needed, I'll have it back to use on another table I rescued from an unloving home. I'll chuck in an Ortofon alignment template. I bought this when I still lived in England, so the power adaptor is a UK one. I will include an Australian adaptor. Still have the instruction manual, however while I do still possess the box, it got water damaged when stored in my shed (the box was empty when that happened, just to clarify - the turntable was inside the house, busy playing records!), so while you are welcome to it if you want it (still has the packing foam etc), I will not post this one.
