Item: Panasonic TH-P50V10A - 50 inch Full HD Plasma TV Location: Inner West, Sydney Price: SOLD Item Condition: Very Good Reason for selling: Possibly upgrading, not enough space for two TV's Payment Method: Pickup - Cash. Too big/heavy to send via courier. Extra Info: This is the acclaimed V series from Panasonic. I have owned this unit since 2010 (first owner). It was used primarily for watching movies (blu-rays and dvd). The unit has been well looked after and in very good condition. The unit is made in Japan. Includes original remote, stand and box. 9. Item: Panasonic 65" Plasma Display TH-65VX100W Location: Len Wallis Audio HQ, 64 Burns Bay Road, Lane Cove NSW Price: $799 Item Condition: Excellent Payment Method: Cash, Credit Cards, PayPal Extra Info: First things, first - this is Full HD plasma display, not a television in the conventional sense. There is no built-in tuner and there are no speakers but don’t let that discourage you. What have here is Full HD 1080p plasma with exceptional picture quality and lots of settings to tweak. Think professional display monitor. Spend a little time getting the calibration dialed-in and it still looks absolutely stunning and satisfying to watch. To make it really shine you are going to want to connect it to a decent source like the 2nd hand Oppo BDP95 Blu-Ray Player ($599) we have it hooked up to in the showroom PLUS your AV Receiver/Speaker combo to manage sound. It’s a decent sized thing too and (very) solid, measuring 1,554mm wide, 924mm tall and 94mm deep. You can be wall mounted or use it with the desktop stand. With the stand it weights little over 70kgs. When new in 2010 they were $13,749 Ports & interfaces: Audio L/R in Component video (YPbPr/YCbCr) HDMI = 4 PC RGB = 1 RS-232 port - 1 Freight: Freight is not included in the price of this item and is POA. We are happy to ship anywhere in Australia but this is a heavy Item and we will need to get a price to transport to your location. Pictures:
  10. Item: Panasonic TH-P55VT60A Plasma Television Location: Richmond, Melbourne Price: $895 negotiable Item Condition: Excellent with all accessories and receipt, except for image retention in top right corner ('Live & Free' and the Fox Footy logo are visible on dark grey screens). ~3200 hours on panel. Has had the 'foam fix' to reduce fan noise. No box. Reason for selling: Upgraded to OLED Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: Purchased new in August 2014. Strictly pick up only due to the TV's size and weight. Will sell to interstate residents but you will be responsible for arranging a courier and packing. Pictures:

Watched on average 2 hours a week and only for blu ray movies. Comes with speakers & stand (attached). Remote and all original documents included. Selling as I've moved from a 4 bedroom house to a 2 bed unit and can't enjoy it the way it's supposed too. Happy to answer any questions or to provide more photo's. Review can be found here: https://www.cnet.com/uk/products/pioneer-kuro-pdp-lx6090/review/

  16. Hi, my Pioneer LX608 plasma no longer seems to be able to get to standby mode, let alone turn on the screen. Could this be a capacitor problem? Any good recommendations for repair in Melbourne east? The tv is out of warranty, and since Pioneer closed shop I've no idea where to look. Cheers.
  17. Wanted to buy: Panasonic Plasma ST60 or VT60 series, in excellent working order and condition. My first preference is a 55 inch but will consider a 60 inch. I'm located in Sydney and would prefer any Sydney based examples for viewing and pickup.

  19. Hi All, Am looking for a new screen to replace the old (but very good) Hitachi 42" Plasma. It has a big red line running top to bottom down the right hand side! We have a Samsung 42" LCD in our bedroom and it is very good, and connected immediately to our Western Digital Wireless HDD, allowing us to playing movies directly from it. As I watch a lot of sport, I was simply going to look for a 55-60" LCD with 200Hz (as I can see a tail on the ball on the 100Hz LCD we have), and it was probably going to be a Samsung, as I have had only good experiences getting ours and a few for other family members. I have just read people's views on the Samsung PN64F8500, and am still struggling in my head that Plasma's are "old school". I guess they are not. As I narrow my search, I would interested in people's opinions on what is around now (in the sales) at the $2,000 to $3,500 range, at about the 60" size (4m+ viewing distance), and that would have wi-fi capability to connect onto the home network. Thanks in advance for your helpful advice, tips, and debate....once again! Nathan

  22. O.P. The tv suddenly developed vertical lines as shown on the attachment. It's a 6 years old Panasonic 40 inch plasma which is worth bugger all these days. This is the second time the fault happened. The first time was under warranty. The question is, is it worth getting it repaired? I reckon it's at least $120 just for the call in fee, plus labour and parts which will bring it to $250 easy. More if they have to replace the panel. I am also looking to downgrade to 32 inch as this one is too big for the bedroom. And 32 inch LCDs are only ~$500 these days. It's just sad and devastating if I decide to throw it out, considering I paid $3,000 back in the day. https://www.dropbox.com/s/yejaonw302d9zf5/20121223_182018.jpg
  23. Hi folks. I'm asking what feels like a question which has probably been posted 1000 times - but I had a search through the forum and couldn't find anything. Please direct me to it if you know where it exists! Essentially I just need a couple of TV's to be wall mounted in my home - and before all the well intentioned DIY'ers say "do it yourself, it's easy!" - no thanks, I will not do it myself. I'm not tempting fate with a self-install on a brand new 65" TV which will take pride of place in the theatre - plus I want the option to sue if it falls down! The second TV probably needs a power point moved and maybe a new aerial point (which is another story because apparently I may need a 2nd aerial!) - but it's a smaller 42" plasma. I already have the bracket for the 65" (came with the telly) and I have my eye on a tilt/swivel jobby from Selby for the 42". If anyone can recommend a decent installer, please let me know. I've had Home IT and Entertainment quote me $230 each - but was interested to know if anyone had other experiences they could share. Cheers, Chris
  24. panasonic th-p42g10a. turned it on this morning, shut off automatically after 15 seconds. the red power led blinks 6 times in a cycle and then repeats. turned tv off at button. turned it back on, now the output is all pink, same on hdmi output. anyone know what this is? i can't find the service manual anywhere?
  25. Hi all, Unfortunately I just had a TV die and want to buy a 50" plasma to replace it. It will be used mainly for HTPC / blu-ray, in a fairly bright room. There is hardly any stock around but I've sourced these prices: 51D6900 $970 (HN) - Looks better (colour, bezel etc) - 1" extra - More featured (but I don't care) 50ST30 $970 (HN) - Better light filtering - Possibly better panel (colour reproduction, blacks etc) - Possibly better warranty service To be honest it's really the better looks of the Sammy vs the better Light filter/blacks of the Panny. I'm leaning toward the Pana as a safer option, but i really like the D6900's looks. Anyone want to convince me either way? Thanks!
