  1. Further information: Used for a second set up these are no longer required. Well no longer permitted is perhaps more accurate.... Beautiful made in Japan pair in very good condition. The receiver is powerful and clean sounding, plenty of connections and comes with a remote. Has ability to power more than one set and also multizone. The equalizer looks cool. Not too much information available on the receiver but it replaced the Pioneer VSX-9900S as I understand and is of similar spec. The equalizer is local voltage but has a Japanese lead, not a problem though as you can
  2. Hey Guys, I just picked up some Pioneer DSS-9's on a whim with little prior reading. They seem to be in very good condition, and the sound absolutely blows my B & W 683s2's out of the water. Is there much love for vintage pioneer over here on SNA? The sound, clarity, imaging, bass.... These may be end-game speakers... Anyone else heard these before? Anyone else have some, or other vintage pioneer stuff? Chime in! Ben
  3. Further information: Classic Japanese made 7.1 Channel AVR. 120 Watts per channel in surround mode and 160 watts per channel in stereo mode. Has been used regularly in stereo mode as it sounds very musical in Pure Direct mode. Comes with paper manual, two remote controls and set up microphone. 4. Was lucky to find this unit locally in Melbourne few months back. Tested all functions and found everything working good. Inspected the unit inside by removing the covers to see in what condition the components inside. I can see few leaky caps..power filter capacitors are leaking badly. Almost all light globes needs to be replaced. Got amazed to see the huge 1.2 KW toroidal transformer and four 22000uf 80v power filter capacitors. Wooden cover came with all scratches. But it came really well after giving a light sanding and applying bee wax. Checked the DC offset and found to be
  5. I’m selling a lovely vintage Pioneer SA-8500 MK-II Stereo Amplifier. 6. Further information: The Pioneer Kuro PDP-LX508a needs no introduction. Downgraded house since moving and don’t have big enough room for this. 7. Further information: This vintage Pioneer SX-750 receiver is from the iconic period of silver faced receivers of the 70s. I am the original owner from 1976. When released it was an upper mid range receiver putting out a solid 50 watts per channel at 0.1% total harmonic distortion. Heaps of features including a nice phono. The performance of the SX-750 is not that far off from the flagship SX-1250 with the exception of power output. It is in very good condition for its age with a just a few very minor marks and tiny lifting of veneer. The casing appears to be

  9. Item: Pioneer A-400 GTE Amplifier Price Range: $100-500 Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: I scored an A-400X for free when I purchased some kef speakers and was impressed. I became curious and got and A-400. I have read about Tom Evans and his Pioneer mods, which include the Pioneer A-400 GTE Amplifier. Please let me know if your willing to part with yours, and even if not, I'd love to hear about your experience with yours. Thanks Please don't forget to report your post as FOUND when possible. 10. Item: Pioneer A-300r Precision Amplifier Price Range: $100-400 Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: Looking for a Pioneer A-300r Precision Amplifier, modded by Tom Evans. I understand that he made several variations on the precision model, the most fully tweaked being known as 'the full Monty'. I'd love a 'full Monty', but will certainly be interested in another variation. Apparently they are distinguished by the colour of the LED light. Please let me know, even if you're not thinking of selling, what you think of yours. Thanks Please don't forget to report your post as FO
  11. Hello guys and girls, it's my first post so I hope its in the right place. My brain is fried due to so much research in regards to purchasing a new amplifier, please help ? My grandfather gave me a 1976 pioneer integrated amp (sa7500) 40wpc, I've had it fully restored and love it! I purchased a tx7500 and a very nice pair of used transmission line speakers, custom built in the early 90s utilising 4 Audax drivers, 10" bass, 8" mid, 3" super tweeter 1 1/4" tweeter, 50kg each, I don't have any other specs on them unfortunately. I'm using 2 bic f12 powered subs, and had dedic

  13. Further information: This is a really nice tuner from Pioneer's 1979-1982 fluoroscan series. It is super sensitive, picking up FM signals with just speaker wire. There are a few minor marks on the faceplate, but the pictures make them look worse than they are. The AM antenna is intact. If you own a 508, 608 or 708 amp, this tuner looks great alongside them. I've included a net picture as an example. Note: The Denon tuner in the picture is available in a separate listing. Photos: PLEASE READ If you are advertising multiple item
  14. Item: Pioneer SX-408 Stereo Receiver Location: Monbulk, Vic Price: $50 Item Condition: Cosmetically 9/10 (mint) - it has no distortion when turning knobs, it's as clean inside as it is out, signal meter and lights work, only issue is it only has sound on the right channel, nothing at all from the left channel. Reason for selling: Clearing out my collection in preparation for interstate move later this year. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Pick up only, I only have time to post at work, and work don't like me posting items at all, so unless you're offering a f
  15. Picked up a small old radiogram on the weekend, gutted it (was partially gutted already) tidied it up a bit and put my old Pioneer (SX-440) in there PS: My Kilpsch bookshelves did just fit in there too, but sounded crap, so pulled them back out and made some DIY stands for them instead
  16. Hi all, a golden oldie here - Pioneer 50" PDP-507XDA with bottom mount speaker and stand, plus Pioneer VSX-AX2AS with remotes. The Plasma is Japanese made of course. Still works wonderfully and no problems with the picture, but we've unexpectedly adopted an OLED so time to move this on. It has an inbuilt digital tuner and looks great with Netflix, consoles, FTA, Foxtel etc. but is capped at 1080i so can be left a bit wanting for Blu-Ray. It'd be awesome as a second tele or in the pool room. We would not have upgraded if the OLED hadn't been offered - plenty of life in the old girl yet.

  18. Further information: Price is negotiable I've had this AVR for just under 2 years and it's served me well. It's had moderate use in that time. It's in 'as new condition'. No marks that I could see. I recently got a 9/11 channel AVR so no longer have a use for this. Remote and microphone for MCACC are included and it will come in original box with manual etc. Specs are here - https://intl.pioneer-audiovisual.com/products/av_receiver/vsx-932/specification.php It can be collected from Blacktown NSW or shipped at buyers cost
  19. ****PIONEER SX-3800 RECEIVER***** The Pioneer SX-3800 is an AM/FM stereo receiver incorporating a non-switching amplifier and digital, quartz-servo locked tuning. In Pioneer's extensive receiver lineup for 1980, the SX-3800 was in the upper third in terms of power and performance. It was rated at 60 watts per channel, but is clearly capable of delivering much more in practice. It had extremely low THD: .005%, and it's phono S/N ratio was an amazing 115dB. Very nice Fluoroscan machine with very clean and bright fascia plate with minimal marks
