Further information: I purchased this off another SNA’er to compare against my current phono stage – great phono and lots of flexibility on settings to suit almost any cartridge. I am selling as I preferred the synergy of my existing phono in my system. Comes with power wart and grounding extension wire. Hi Everyone, Can any one please recommend a Phono Pre that has Tone Controls? I understand the this is could be construed by some as a Hi Fi Sin but I just love being able to tweak what I am listening to. I am not that interested in an integrated amp phono combo, I would prefer stand alone phono pre. Thanks

It was purchased brand new from Wyndham Audio in June 2018 and was in use for about 12 months. I am selling purely because I decided to upgrade a few months ago. The Accession MC provides four different input impedance settings (500, 300, 100 and 75 ohms). It also has several different EQ settings which are easily switchable from the front panel - RIAA which is the standard for most records, American & British which caters for the NAB & FFRR standards used in the 40s and 50s and also CA/Flat (which is what the record sounds like without any equalisation after the Accession has applied its cartridge equalisation). I have owned a few different Graham Slee units over the years and they never fail to impress, to say they punch weigh above their weight is a massive understatement. The sound stage and depth is astonishing and always seemed to extend beyond what I thought my speakers were capable of. It is so authentic and accurate while staying very easy to listen to, you really do feel like you're absorbed by the music and not just listening to a reproduction. The phono preamp I upgraded to was a Brinkmann Edison MkII which although in my opinion does sound better, at the same time reiterated how amazing the Accession is as the two units aren't as far apart as you might expect.
