Item: Gieseler Pre-Amp Location: Wollongong Price: $550 ono, happy to post at buyers expense EOFY special $500 posted!!! Item Condition: Excellent; hard to distinguish from brand new. Reason for selling: Gieseler Konverter Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, DD. Extra Info: Had this for about a year or less, and only selling as I upgraded to Clay's Konverter DAC/Pre. Clay's gear should need no introduction, and it always represents outstanding value for money. These have recently been discontinued, however when available they were $1000; this Pre looks and sounds like new at virtually half the price! If you have a Klein DAC, this is a perfect cosmetic match too, and is perfect if you have limited space (eg desktop) as it's compact size belies its big sound! Grab yourself a bargain! Pictures: Please note, the Klein DAC in the pictures is now sold, this listing is for the Pre-Amp only.
Item: Asus RT-AC88U Router - one of the best wifi routers on the market, and with 8 LAN ports to boot! Location: Wollongong Price: $350 posted Item Condition: Unboxed, but new Reason for selling: Thought it was going to work as an NBN Modem- which it will if you have fibre to the premises, but unfortunately I got stuck with rubbish copper fttn... :-( Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Fantastic router with a great user interface, super fast and reliable wifi, and 8 LAN ports; absolutely one of the best routers on the market at any price. I bought it to replace my basic 4-port modem/router but unfortunately it needs a FTTP service to work as a modem, so no good for where I live. Why are we still living in the electronic dark ages in this country?!!!! Anyway, rant over, but grab a new router at a bargain price!!! Pictures: Pm me if you need them, it's brand new, and was only unboxed long enough to figure out it wouldn't work for me, then back in the box it goes...
Hi all, A friend of mine has just bought a new cart for his turntable but neither he nor I have a protractor or any experience setting one up. Just wondering if there's anyone in Wollongong who has said skills and equipment and might be interested in helping out? Cheers, Steve :-)
Item: Redgum RGi60ENR 2-ch integrated amp (now called the Aquilina in the Redgum range) Location: Wollongong Price: $1200 Item Condition: Excellent; at least 9/10 Reason for selling: Moved to bigger pre/power setup Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, DD Extra Info: I bought this amp just under a year ago from another SNA'er and to be honest didn't think I'd ever be getting rid of it, but upgraditis took over and I've gone to a bigger pre/power setup. If you want a pure 2-channel setup with plenty of bottom-end punch without sacrificing musicality or detail it's a stunning amp; its audio performance is matched by its beautiful appearance, which is pretty high in WAF thanks to the mirror-polished Redgum Fascia. This amp was made in 2013, so still has warranty for another 3 years; as far as I can see and hear it's flawless. As the "ENR" version of this amp it puts out around 120w/ch at 8ohms, and it's got easily enough punch to drive just about anything, including low impedance speakers. At this stage I'd prefer not to ship it, although I do have the original box so it is a possibility. Happy to bring it to your place and try it in your rig if you're a Wollongong/Illawarra local. A beautiful amp that deserves a good home; if you're running just about any other integrated this'll be a definite step up the audio ladder! Feel free to PM me with any queries. Cheers, Steve :-) Pictures:
