  1. Selling 2 of my Emotiva UPA-1 Monoblocks that have served as the main L+R amps in my listening and theater setup. Original owner and bought new from Emotiva direct. Amps are in excellent condition from a smoke free home. Come with trigger cables, Manual x 1, original double boxes, power leads, as well as the silver trims. Power output (all channels driven): 350 watts RMS @ 4 ohm, 200 watts RMS @ 8 ohm Can ship if required, but bear in mind these are big and heavy. I can ship via AU Post, registered and insured, as not easily able to get to a freight depot on weekdays. Example shipping cost to Melbourne is $96.00 or $146.00 to Brisbane for both amps. (56x56x22cm cartons approx 18kg each). Alternatively, if you arrange your own courier to pick them up that is fine too! I would deliver within 2 hours of Ballarat for $60. 3. Further information: Supratek Mondeuse Monoblocks. Purchased direct from Mick Maloney, this pair were part of his personal collection. They are hand made to custom order and are in excellent condition. I have upgraded the speaker terminals to USA made silver terminals. Tube component: 8 X KT88 Matched Octet Genalex Gold Lions. Produces 100 watt. 4 x GZ34 Matched Quad Telefunken Black Diamonds. 2 x 6SN7 Matched Pair Electro-Harmonixs Gold Pins. 2 x 6H30 Matched Pair Sovtec. Overall condition is excellent. No base plates are included, as Mick didn't use them. Housed in beautiful solid Sheoak cabinets. Can supply generic power cables, but highly recommend quality cables. These are simply superb and a very rare find. Part of Western Australias' audio history. No known issues. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  4. For sale are two NuForce Ref9 V3 monoblock amplifiers with custom TDSS internal upgrades (cabling, noise reduction and new PSUs). Cosmetically good and functionally excellent condition. I am the second owner of these and purchased them from the original owner in Europe 5 years ago. They were purchased as Ref9 V2 with upgraded (WBT) binding posts, hence the V2 print on the faceplates. I brought them to AU and had them upgraded by Bob Smith at TDSS in the US in 2017. Invoices for the upgrades are shown with the photos (personal details blacked/greyed out) and I will send the uncensored PDF invoices for the work to the buyer. Boards were upgraded to V3 boards, and a full TDSS level 3 upgrade done to both monoblocks. Additional details on the link below: https://www.mytdss.com/reference-series-upgrades Highly rated audiophile monoblocks with lots of grunt to drive even difficult speakers loads with many favourable reviews online. Taken to yet another level with the upgrades performed by Bob Smith at TDSS. Original RRP on these was around $3,000 US, plus just under $2k US for the upgrades (not including shipping to/from US). These are incredible amplifiers for the money and it took me a long time to decide to part with these (and the matching P9 preamp which I will be listing shortly). I am just simply not using them at the moment as I have no dedicated listening room anymore and have gone to a Lyngdorf all in one solution including room correction which gives better results in my untreated and very open living area. Local pick-up is given preference, but as I have the original packaging I can post at agreed cost if required. Happy to negotiate a deal if someone wants to take these together with the matching NuForce P9 Preamp that I am also listing – shoot me a PM. Photos:
  5. Item: Image by Nelson Audio EL34 Power Amps (Mono blocks) Location: Melbourne City Price: SOLD Item Condition: Great working order Reason for selling: Space constraints /Simplifying system Payment Method: Pickup only (Melbourne CBD) - Cash only Extra Info: Punching well above their weight, Image by Nelson Audio are based on the Marantz 9 power amps. 75 watts output based on 4 x EL34 tubes and each unit weighs in at about 35kg each so I'm afraid local pick up only. These mono-blocks made a substantial difference to my system in terms of texture, resolution, speed, attack and the general warmth especially with vinyl source material. Priced to SELL to clear up room in my limited space so please, no negotiation. Since purchasing this, I have had the switches and new tubes fitted with about 100 hours on them. The units have some very minor cosmetic blemishes as indicated in photos and functionally they are a joy to live with.
