  1. Further Information: this is practically brand new. Bought 4 weeks ago from Sonic Purity. I’m so impressed with the Zyx that I am moving up the range. This has about 30 hours (if that) played. This is nearly half the RRP. https://sonicpurity.com.au/store/cartridges/zyx-r50-bloom
  2. Further information: Someone cut some decent interconnect tonearm cable for this one https://www.ukaudiomart.com/details/649113955-moerch_morch_tci_viper_phono_tonearm_cable_5_pin_din_to_rca/ Nice and cheap convenience of switching between tonearms for most cartridges due to gain switch. will pay the donation Photos:
  3. Further information: RRP $790AUD doesn't tell the story.. Rare case when cheap and good should be seen purchased Enormous grandiose sound. It's just a new life for mono records. This cartridge has ~300 hours on it ( out of ~4,000 ) and needs to be used by a music-lover. https://www.miyajima-lab.com/e-mono.html on the "true mono" topic... There are only few manufacturers doing proper mono cartridges. because there isnt vertical compliance in mono cartridge - you can't listen to stereo LP with mono cartridge - you'll damage the record and wear out cartridge\tonearm https://www.miyajima-lab.com/e-mono.html here is a good explanation of mechanics mono cutterhead groove is different left\right only so it's different https://www.vinylrecorder.com/stereo.html in stereo (which is 3d: up\down\left\right cut) - people use 45 speed to make records more powerfull\punchy , due to the limits of the cutterhead angles. in mono - you can have this at 33 rpm, hence records ae shorter (theoretically lower density - wider grooves) btw here is how stereo grooves look like through microscope Photos:
  4. Further information: Luxman M-120A, C-120A amp and preamp. Excellent early 80s combo in exceptionally well maintained condition. More than enough power for most applications and great MM/MC phono input on preamp. I used it with Dynavector MC cart which will be or sale separately. The amp powered my difficult to drive Dynaudio Focus 260s with ease and clarity. Main filter caps on amp replaced by Len Wallis Audio (Sprague caps) and main amp board re-capped with Nichicon FG audio caps. The C-120A preamp had electrolytic caps replaced with Elna Silmic II audio caps. Only selling as it will no longer be used and I don't like the idea of it sitting idle for an indefinite period. M-120A amp specs from Hifiengine. Power output: 120 Watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo), 150 Watts per channel into 4 Ω Frequency response: 10Hz to 100kHz Total harmonic distortion: 0.015% Damping factor: 50 Input sensitivity: 0.9V Signal to noise ratio: 110dB Dimensions: 464 x 336 x 176mm Weight: 13.8kg C-120A preamp specs from Hifiengine Frequency response: 10Hz to 80kHz Total harmonic distortion: 0.007% Input sensitivity: 0.2mV (MC), 2mV (MM), 130mV (line) Signal to noise ratio: 74dB (MC), 88dB (MM), 100dB (line) Output: 130mV (line), 1V (Pre out), 18V (Pre out Max) Photos: PLEASE READ If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved You understand that a reasonable donation for selling fees is expected upon successful sale of your item - if you have previously sold items and not made a donation, your advertisement may not be approved.
  5. Item: HALCRO MC30 power amp Location: Pakenham Price: $2000 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: upgrade Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Hi guys, here is my lovely HALCRO MC30 power amp for sale. I'm original owner of it since Nov 2015 and should still be on a warranty. It's an excellent amp and I'm really happy with it, but would like to take next step in our never ending journey It's 3 channel and power my front and central channel speakers. It has an ability to control amp via Win app and I switch off central channel when listen music. It's really nice and convenient and I'm going to miss this feature. Apart of it, it's the same as MC20 2 channel unit. It still in use in my system and it's really difficult to make photo of the back side of the unit. Here is the link with review if require http://www.stereomojo.com/HALCRO MC20 POWER AMPLIFIER REVIEW/HALCROMC20POWERAMPLIFIERREVIEW.htm I still have original box, manual and happy to post. Please keep in mind that it weight 21 kg plus boxes. I attached photo with status report of my unit. Pictures:
  6. My denon 103r needs a retip and I have long planned to send it to sound smith in the US. However a friend found that Garrott Bothers are even cheaper. However whilst tempted, I would like to know about their quality . Then I though, where better to look than on Stereonet, an Oz site. I did several searches on this site but couldn't find anything about garrot, and in fact I had to go to this particular forum befor a garrott search yielded anything, all about the mm’s, so perhaps its site problem. Well anyway, i am interested to hear about anyone's experiences

  8. Further Information: I bought it a couple of years ago here on StereoNet. I am selling because I upgraded my amplifier to a Peachtree Audio nova150 with integrated phono stage. It served me well! You can read a review of this model here https://www.techradar.com/reviews/audio-visual/hi-fi-and-audio/amplifiers/pro-ject-tube-box-se-ii-695832/review
  9. Item: Graham Slee Reflex C Phono Amp (MC carts only), including PSU1 Location: Brisbane Price: $650 Item Condition: Very good to excellent. (Phono amp is near mint. The PSU has a little wear from being located on the floor. See images.) Reason for selling: Using a Cinemag SUT with a Graham Slee Reflex M Payment Method: Can be picked-up in Brisbane, or will post express for $10. Cash for pick-up is OK. Otherwise Paypal or bank transfer is available. Extra Info: Pictures were taken this afternoon and are of the item for sale. I tried to get as many angles as possible to show that there is very little wear on the enclosure. I'm the original owner of this phono amp. It's only ever been used in a smoke-free household, and has been well-looked after. It has 62 db of gain and loads at the standard 100 Ohms for an MC head amp. Full specs: Input range: 0.2mV to 1.0mV Output (for input range): 252mV to 1,260mV (1.26V) Maximum input: 3.9mV rms Maximum output: 4.914V rms Gain: 62dB (1,260) at 1kHz Input impedance: 100 Ohms Output (driving/source) impedance: 1k Ohm Recommended load impedance: 10k Ohm or greater Noise at output: -62dB CCIR Q-pk Equivalent input noise (EIN): -124dB Distortion: 0.02% RIAA accuracy: <0.5dB Frequency response: 20Hz - 200kHz (flat, corrected to RIAA) Channel balance: 0.2dB Channel separation: 64dB Size: (approx.) 10. Item: ORTOFON Cadenza Blue Cartridge Location: Richmond, Melbourne Price: sold (New, delivered a week ago) RRP $2499. Not sure what pricing rules dominate with unused but opened cartridges . I have the receipt from local Melbourne retailer Item Condition: New (Note: outer box opened, but stylus not removed from inner container) Reason for selling: The Tonearm on my current Acoustic solid turntable was in the shop to fix one wire, so the Cadenza was not fitted. Whilst waiting for my tonearm, in a stereonet fit of madness I went and bought the Michell Orbe SE with tonearm and Goldnote Donatello, and love the configured combo so much I have decided to sell the acoustic solid and the Cadenza cartridge intended for it. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, Post Extra Info: The Cadenza Blue model is using a Nude FG 70 stylus with a very thin ruby cantilever. The improved winding process on the armature ensures better channel balance. The soundstage of Cadenza Blue is wide open and grandiose straight out of the box. Micro dynamic and ambience will be evident when listening to complex compositions. It reaches a very high degree of definition in the perspective, which is very present. It is true to the music with a tremendous clarity. Note: first 2 images are of the actual item, whilst the cartridge shot is a stock image Pictures:
  11. 12. Further information: Little introduction needed for this one. Fantastic value and performance MC/MM phono stage. Can read plenty about it online. https://6moons.com/audioreviews/raysamuels/f117.html http://www.raysamuelsaudio.com/products/f-117.html Photos:
  13. Further information: Up for grabs is a hand made Van den Hul CRIMSON Cart made by the great man himself in Melbourne on a tour of Australia in 2017. The CRIMSON is a top performance custom hand built moving coil phono cartridge and its a crossbreed of The CANARY and The CONDOR. Some specific characteristics of this great cartridge are a relatively high (0,65mV) output, gold coils, a Samarium-Cobalt magnet, extended channel seperation and superb tracking ability. This cart has only just come back this week from its 200 hour service and had also had a re tip from SoundSmith in New York. (Provided on request) This is effectively a brand Cart new with 0 hours on the tip at all. Recommended retail is 6.5k, but happy to let this go at for 4K ONO. I love my Linn Krystal too much to bother changing it back. Thanks in advance for looking and open to reasonable offers.. https://www.vandenhul.com/product/the-crimson/ Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.

  15. Further information: Price is negotiable!!! Jasmine LP 2.0 Mk2, which was the upgraded and improved model from the justly famous Jasmine 2.0 SE. Build quality and sound quality are just astonishing for the price! Note that you would need to pay about 4 times what I am asking to get the current solid state model. This unit has been further enhanced with some replacement audiophile-quality components in the power supply including teflon-coated solid core silver wiring, Philips Vishay 63V caps, etc, soldered using top quality Cardas high-silver-content solder. Modifications were made by TTW, then member of stereo.net.au forums, who is a certified Australian electrical engineer. While the performance is truly amazing for the price, you could further improve it with replacement components in the MM stage, if you wanted. I note that one of these has just sold on US Ebay for about AU$680 plus shipping. Package weight is a little below 8kg. This is not a lightweight phono preamp in any way. [Current models are the Jasmine LP 3.0 Mk1 (about AU$1600 + shipping from China + taxes), and the all-tube Jasmine LP 4.0 (about AU$3500 + shipping + taxes)] ELECTRICAL DISCLAIMER This product has not been manufactured by a qualified individual or company, therefore contains electrical circuits that do not necessarily comply with Australian Standards. 16. Further information: This cartridge has had approximately 150 hours use and is in perfect condition. I can't remember the exact retail price when purchased new but from memory it was around $2500 give or take. I'm selling simply because I decided to upgrade to an Acoustical Systems Archon cartridge. This wasn't due to any outright criticism of the Pi itself but simply due to that never ending "itch" to always try and improve on what you've got! IMHO it's a fantastic all round cartridge - nicely balanced and superbly detailed. As you can see from the photos the cantilever is in perfect condition and the cart was never dropped onto the record or 'abused' in any way. Included are the stylus cleaning brush, standard fastening screws which come in two lengths and a pair of washers. Specs from Brinkmann website: Type Moving Coil Weight 14 g Stylus microridge, radius 3 µm Compliance 15 µm/mN Tracking force 1,8 g Vertical tracking angle 23° Output voltage 0,15 mV (velocity 1 cm/sec) Output impedance 20 Ohm Load (recommended) 600 Ohm Frequency response 0 Hz....30 kHz Frequency intermodulation 0,5 % Crosstalk 25 dB (1 kHz) Body three-piece resonance optimised luminum body Photos: PLEASE READ If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved
  17. In as new condition, Cartridge has done less than 20 hrs of play time. Always played on clean records. It was installed on my second arm. I will add a close up stylus photo later today
  18. Further information: Fixed gain MC step-up unit. Excellent condition, all original packaging. One owner. RRP $1085 https://www.hifisystemcomponents.com/phono-preamps/elevator-exp-mc-step-up-amp.html

  20. Item: AT OC9xml Location: Thirroul/Sydney CBD Price: $750 Item Condition: New, never mounted or played Reason for selling: upgrading Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I bought one of these a couple of months ago to start the MC journey. Loved it, but decided I wanted more. I was removing it and snapped the stylus....doh! This is the replacement brand new cartridge, (not replacement stylus) only removed from packaging to photograph. An expensive lesson in cartridge handling! Happy to post at cost Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.

  22. Item: Benz Micro Glider SL Location: Lane Cove, NSW Price: $850 plus postage Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Upgraded to different cartridge Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I purchased this cartridge second hand off StereoNET member scuzzii a few years ago. It had very low usage when I bought it and I only used it for a few weeks while waiting for a new cart to arrive. I would say playing time is less than 60 hours, probably closer to 50. After this brief period of usage by myself it has been in a cupboard in its box. As you can see in the photos it comes in original factory packaging and all the bits and pieces. If you require any further info please don't hesitate to get in touch. Pictures:
  23. Item: Consonance Audio PM-8 Phono-Preamp Location: Kingaroy, QLD Price: $500 Posted. (Australia Only) Now $400 Posted! For Quick Sale Item Condition: Excellent 9/10 (1 Tiny Mark from my watch on top corner - see image) Reason For Selling: Purchased a Pre2p Bel Canto, No Longer Required Payment Method: Bank Deposit preferred, Paypal (+2.5% Paypal Fee), Cash on Pickup Extra Info, Purchased new from Greg Osborn a little over a year ago.. Retail for $650. Maybe 20-25 hours of use in total, never got much of a chance to set it all up properly, would love to keep it but hard to justify 2 phono preamps with 1 turntable, and I have too much spare gear lying around. All original packaging/manual Cables etc included.. Full Solid State Design, Separate Power Supply Box, Fully Adjustable Gain Settings.
  24. Item: REGA IOS MC Phono stage, mint condition with box, manual etc Location: SE Melbourne Price: $2,000 Item Condition: Mint, not being used Reason for selling: giving up the dream of a 2nd turntable rig... Payment Method: bank deposit or Pickup - Cash or can ship around australia at cost to buyer Extra Info: Have in original box and packaging with manual etc Pictures: see below, as can hopefully see this is in mint condition as would buy from the shop As some might know this is a very highly regarded MC phono stage. Its beautifully made and put together to the point that Rega decided to re box this item in another casing to elevate it to IOS Reference status ! as can see in the link below it now reboxed retails at $7,999! http://store.melbournehifi.com.au/index.php/review/product/list/id/939/category/34/ Heres your chance to pick up one of these in mint condition for a fraction of what the model above costs in the shops ! Although I've had this boxed up and under the bed for the last year thinking of how could set up a 2nd turntable in my system, have finally resigned myself to the fact it aint happening and probably better sold and put to good use by someone else. you'll find a goo review of the Rega IOS here, http://www.rega-audio.de/verstaerker/ios/downloads/Rega_Ios_Test_ToneAudio_2008-07.pdf "Over the last few months, I’ve listened to perhaps a half dozen $1000 phono preamps, each one a winner in its own way. Just prior to that, however, I used a couple of phono stages in the $5000 to $7000 range. The Rega Ios easily belongs in the latter group. The build quality is astonishing (it’s certainly the heaviest phono preamp I’ve used), the flexibility world-class. The sound quality was perhaps the most addictive I’ve experienced in my system, and now I want that Ios as well. " melbourne buyers most welcome to come check these out and pay cash on pick up or can happily ship anywhere in Australia at buyers cost photos of the actual unit edit price adjusted
  25. Item: SME 10 Turntable with 309 tonearm. Price: $5,500 (firm) $4300 (no arm) Location: Victoria Item Condition: Excellent as new 4mths old Reason for Selling: Looking to upgrade up the food chain Payment Method: Cash, Bank Transfer, PAYPAL (Buyer adds 4%) Extra Info: This is the current model and is only 4 months old. It is in immaculate condition with all original boxes. Very happy with this TT and only will sell with firm price. This is an incredible TT and nothing in this price range can come close to the build and quality. High mass belt drive with a seperate (quiet as a mouse) power supply. This TT has opened my ears to the dramatic jump in resolution one gets from the uber-pricey TT and I am toying with going even further to the Dark side.
