  3. Item: Lexicon MC12 Surround Sound Pre Amp Processor Location: Yandina, Sunshine Coast, Queensland Price: $3000 Item Condition: Used Reason for selling: We have dismantled our home theatre system as we are going travelling Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: The Lexicon MC12 has three zones, twelve configurable inputs, on board processing, twelve output channels, and a wide array of expansion capabilities enable the MC-12 to easily meet the demands of the discerning audio/video enthusiast The three zones are independent, allowing for seamless control of multi-room systems. Because each zone is capable of routing a different input source, it is possible to watch a DVD in the home theatre while listening to a CD in the kitchen and recording a program from a satellite receiver to a DVD-R. The record zone can also be used to provide audio to a third room. This processor is in perfect working order and is still one of the best on the market. We have now dismantled our home entertainment system and are selling the pieces individually. The lexicon comes with it's original box, remote control and owners manual.
  4. Item: Lexicon MC12 Surround Sound Pre Amp Processor Location: Yandina, Sunshine Coast, Queensland Price: $2000 Item Condition: Used Reason for selling: We have dismantled our home theatre system as we are going travelling Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: The Lexicon MC12 has three zones, twelve configurable inputs, on board processing, twelve output channels, and a wide array of expansion capabilities enable the MC-12 to easily meet the demands of the discerning audio/video enthusiast The three zones are independent, allowing for seamless control of multi-room systems. 5. Item: Lexicon MC 12HD EQ Digital Controller / Home Theatre Processor (Note that this is the latest HDMI unit, and can be upgraded to the latest firmware version, 2.0, for free using your computer and a serial cable). Location: Eastern Suburbs of Sydney Price: REDUCED TO $3250 (Retail Value is well over $10K). Will consider offers, but keep in mind that these do not come to market all that often, and particularly in Australia. No need to import, risk international shipping, etc. Try it before you buy it! Item Condition: The unit is in excellent working condition. Slight bit of adhesive residue on the top from some tape -- that's it! Comes boxed with original packaging, instruction manual and remote. Note that the remote has some wear and sticky residue on it -- this is a very common thing for Lexicon MC remotes due to the less than ideally durable finish. Reason for selling: I have a few different options... Nobody suspects the twenty-something blonde girl haha. 90%+ of my listening involves music these days, and given my fondness for my vintage studio digital stack, I'm inclined to let this be put to proper use elsewhere. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash. Can deliver personally anywhere in Sydney for an in-place demo utilising your own system (or even one of mine!). Extra Info: This is the one -- latest hardware, with HDMI and Room EQ card!!! Very desirable indeed. Use this correctly and the unit can be the centrepiece of your home cinema audio setup for years to come. Format decoding comes and goes: this thing is quality, period, and takes 8ch LPCM on v2.0 firmware. You can update the unit to the latest firmware (v 2.0) for free, upon which 8ch LPCM will be in your hands! It's a user installable upgrade, and it involves a PC, a serial cable, the free 2.0 firmware download and 45 minutes for installation. Only reason I haven't done that yet is because I didn't need it. I'm also rather impatient! Happy to show you how the upgrade works and all. The person who buys this will know exactly what it is. I have an MC-4 for sale too (though I may end up keeping that just for the volume control..... Always a reason to hold onto too many toys!). Pictures:
  6. Item: Lexicon MC-4 Home Theatre Processor / Preamplifier Location: Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, NSW - pick-up or personal delivery in Sydney with demo and testing done in your own setup. Price: $520 (RRP was something like 5000+. As much as I like it, thank goodness I haven't owned this from new!). Item Condition: The unit itself is in very good condition, and works just fine. Only a few light marks on top (which may possibly come off, I'm suspecting old sticker residue here) I do have a remote. It's not the greatest but it does the trick. The remotes on these units always left something to be desired, quality wise: mine has the standard sticky finish deterioration thing going on. The remote is certainly workable, though the on and off buttons at the top can be intermittent. There is a small crack in the remote too. The menu is very easy to navigate, and so universals work well. Reason for selling: The MC-12 HD EQ doesn't like competition. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash. I'm also pretty happy to bring it to you in Sydney for a listen within your own setup. Extra Info: It suffices to say that this line of home theatre gear from Lexicon doesn't need much of an introduction! A few highlights / key features of the MC-4: -Almost identical, both in terms of internal hardware and software, to the MC-8 and earlier model MC-12. The key difference between the models was input/output options - that's it! Maybe the DAC in the original MC-12 was different, they keep changing stuff so I can't quite remember anymore... -Logic 7 DSP at its finest: get amazing 7.1 out of anything. Very, very, very nice feature set for multichannel music matrixing. Many still prefer this over other options out there. -They make awesome analog stereo / 5.1 multichannel preamps. Nice analog bypass means it can work really well with a quality Blu-Ray player / digital preamp, your turntable setup, etc. There's a popular write-up about the Lexicon MC-8 that's worth looking up: the reviewer uses his as a stereo preamp and loves it (openly prefers it to the Parasound gear he has!). -Can be used as a DAC with good results. -Dual voltage too! If you have a 7.1 home theatre setup, where music is 70%+ and you want solid system integration options without compromising stereo performance, you can get a lot of value out of this unit! What I like to do is feed a DAC into the analog bypass for digital stereo music sources, using it as a volume control only. Same idea with analog sources, where I keep an eq / phono stage upstream. For the rest, I let the Logic 7 DSP side of things do the work! You get 7.1 out when using the inbuilt D/A converters. Feel free to get in touch with questions :-) Pictures:
