  3. Further information: I got these speakers 2 years ago when I wanted to set up a turntable in my room but didn't want the expense of an amp. Also didn't have the space for it. These speakers did the job and did them very well! They not only have phono inputs, they have optical, aux, USB and Bluetooth as well! Comes with a slick remote control, so you can adjust this all from the comfort of your chair! If you know what Klipsch speakers are capable of, then you know that these are awesome! I've since moved my turntable to my living room and it now runs off an AV amp and I don't need these anymore. Truly great speakers that will benefit someone who wants to connect to their turntable but still have the luxury of listening to Spotify off their phones using Bluetooth. Or connect to your computer using USB. Condition is as new. No dinks or scratches. They have never been moved from when I took them out of the box and placed them on my desk. Read about them here. I can't seem to find somewhere in Australia that sells them other than here and RRP is $1199. Pickup only from Maidstone VIC as I don't have the original box for them. Happy to audition them at pickup. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.

  6. Further information: Make and Model - Klipsch HP-3 Ebony Headphones Mint condition; Good, fun set of cans; I won’t try and sell these any further because I assume if you’re planning on spending this amount on a pair of cans that you know what you’re talking about; and See below for more information. Background: After seemingly losing my Bose QC25 Headphones (they were behind the couch) I went on a search for a replacement and discovered Hi-Fi. However, sitting in shops for hours on end for testing wasn't working. I decided to buy (when on sale so I didn't lose too much on the resell) and do AB testing at home to find the sound signature that I liked the most, both for an everyday/out and about pair and a high-end at home pair of headphones, along with associated DAC/amps. This process has lasted approximately a year and I'm now selling off most of what I have. Sound: None of what I'm selling are in and of themselves poor performers. If I'm selling any set of headphones or DAC/amps it's because I prefer a different sound signature. Condition: I've done the hard yards and all headphones and amps I'm selling on StereoNet have been burnt in for at least 50 hours. For the most part the burn in process has occurred when playing throughout the day when I'm at work, rather than on my head (no comment on whether burn is a thing or not). Naturally they've all spent a number of hours on my head but have all been wiped down as per the manufacturer's instructions and are in essentially new condition unless stated otherwise under the make and model below. I cannot claim to be able to re-wrap/pack cables as good as those in the factory, and some items plastic protective films have been removed, but I can't remember those that have. They may have minor amounts of dust present no matter how hard I tired with physical and air dusters. Shipping: Is excluded in the price unless stated. If you choose to pick up directly, the price is the price and there will be no drop due to the item not having been posted. Shipping is just within Australia. For express post items I can't guarantee next day delivery due to my working hours, but I will endeavour to get them to you ASAP. This Latest Generation Combines High-End Materials, Handcrafted Precision And Innovative Technology Tractrix Horn Loaded Titanium Diaphragm Compression Driver, Dual 10" Cerametallic Woofers Take your music & home theatre experience higher with the Klipsch Reference RF-7 III floor-standing speaker. It's the flagship speaker of the Reference line, and it uses patented Klipsch technology to deliver rich, dynamic sound with sparkling highs and thrilling, full-bodied bass. Overview: This floor-standing model is the flagship of Klipsch's Reference Series and although not cheap delivers a lot of high-performance sound for the price and it does this by using Klipsch's advanced technologies and world-class materials. Each speaker box employs dual 250mm (10") woofers and a 44mm (1.75") titanium diaphragm compression driver loaded with a square Tractrix Horn, inside a bass reflex enclosure. As the flagship model they will bring out the power, detail and emotion from your music, movies, or video games. Klipsch makes its cones out of specially treated aluminium that's strong yet lightweight to dampen and prevent distortion. With the Reference Series, Klipsch also gave these woofers a newly developed titanium voice coil former that allows more linear movement for enhanced efficiency, lower distortion and extended low frequency response. Look around the back, and you'll see dual rear-firing ports to help eliminate turbulence noise. They can handle up to 250 Watts RMS and 1000 Watts of peak power so will work really well in large rooms. The question is whether your amplifier has the "horsepower" to keep up! 90°x90°Hybrid Tractrix Horns: A Tractrix Horn utilises a circular horn throat paired to a square horn mouth to further improve high-frequency response and extension, while enhancing imaging and dynamics. With their Series III speakers, Klipsch has redesigned the shape and slope of their famous horn enclosure, so your movie soundtracks and music will sound more "open," with improved dynamics and efficiency. The Tractrix Horn delivers a 90-degree wide by 90-degree high dispersion pattern for a broader sound-stage. The compressed moulded rubber construction adds high frequency damping to reduce harshness and improve detail. This creates the cleanest, most natural sound possible. Titanium Diaphragm Compression Driver: Behind the Tractrix Horn lies a new 44mm (1.75") titanium driver with a linear travel suspension for open, natural, sound. The Linear Travel Suspension minimises distortion for enhanced, detailed performance. It now features a new phase plug design to improve phase coherency at the throat of the horn, resulting in improved sound pressure linearity at high frequencies. Cerametallic Woofers: The dual 250mm (10") woofers of the RF-7 III floor-standing loudspeaker features Klipsch's distinctive, copper-coloured Cerametallic material. Made with an anodised aluminium, this cone is strong and dent resistant. The anodising process converts its inner and outer surfaces to ceramic. The outcome is a rigid cone with superb damping characteristics that will not flex or resonate at frequencies within the woofer's operating range The woofers also employ a rubber surround for added durability. Crossover Network: The Klipsch RF-7 III's crossover network is constructed using extremely high-quality components including top-of-the-line internal wiring, polyester film-type capacitors and an air-core inductor to ensure signal purity and proper driver integration. The speaker's enhanced crossover frequency offer smoother on-axis and off-axis integration. Bass Reflex MDF Enclosure: The Klipsch RF-7 III employs a bass reflex enclosure with dual rear-firing ports for greater efficiency and bigger bass response. Utilising Tractrix geometry, the all new Reference III bass port allows for the most efficient, fastest air transfer from the cabinet for a clean, powerful low frequency response. The ported enclosure features a MDF cabinet finished with a premium wood-grain polymer veneer and a polymer front baffle. The speaker's rigid cabinet offers improved internal cross-bracing to minimise panel vibrations that can colour sound. Binding Post Terminals: The speaker offers dual binding post terminals which are connected by jumpers. Using the dual binding posts, you can bi-amp or bi-wire these speakers. The binding post terminals will accept banana plugs, spade-connectors and bare wire. Our Take Klipsch speakers deliver a dynamic and fast sound, which is nothing less than impressive on music and movies. The first thing you'll notice is the size difference compared to the other models in the series. The 7's are big and beautiful whether you choose the Black Ash or Cherry finishes. But the sound is what it is all about. The bass is rich and deep, the mids clear and precise and the highs are beautiful and accurate at any sound level. Bi-amped they "rock" even more. Add a good sub from either Klipsch or SVS and you should have more than enough foundation shaking bass to "tick off the neighbours" on the next block! If not then buy more subs because there is no next model up the line! But there is another big story to tell and that is the subject of sensitivity or speaker efficiency. Most speakers are about 90dB efficiency and in stereo mode and with a modest approach to the volume control does not present any problem for any good amplifier or home theatre receiver. However as surround sound has increased from 5 speakers up to 9 or even 11, so has the demand on the amplifier or home theatre receiver. Combine more speakers with more volume and average efficiency speakers (say 90dB) and your amplifier will run quite hot and go into clipping - a type of distortion. One solution is to add an extra power amplifier to hook up the front two or three speakers. Another solution is to invest in a pair of speakers like the Klipsch RF-7 III. These speakers are a jaw dropping 100dB, which means two things. First, the founder PWK would be happy and (2) you can easily run them with half (or less than) the power of most other speakers. One of the better spec receivers will do the job beautifully and run nice and 'cool' even at high output levels. Speak with us to get more details or phone in and arrange a demo.
