  2. Item: Isotek EVO3 Premier Power Cable 1.5m Location: Kew Victoria Price: $135 + shipping Item Condition: excellent Reason for selling: too large Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: purchased this from Carlton Audio 6 weeks ago unfortunately the amp I'm using at the moment is longer and therefore the front of the amp now sits out over the cabinet it is sitting on more than I can aesthetically deal with. Carlton Audio lent me 4 power chords in the $250 to $300 range. All of them sounded way better than standard cable. However I felt the other 3 reduced bass punch a little, where Isotek Premier did not at all. Chime in with suggestions of power chord with smaller plug units particularly at the amp end as I'm back to kettle chord. I stupidly threw out the box, so it's not included Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.

Extra Info: each unit has 2 high power connections for power amps and 4 for other normal items, cd players etc, http://www.audioemporium.com/isotek-aquarius-reviewer-comments-wow/ Isotek Aquarius Reviewer Comments- Wow! http://www.audioemporium.com/isotek-aquarius-reviewer-comments-wow/ Isotek’s Aquarius ($2000) US mains conditioner is a game changing product! It has six outlets, two of which are extremely high power. Aquarius comes with a power cord of commensurate quality, called the Premier. The Premier sells for $150 a la carte. So you start with Aquarius, whose price includes a Premier. You can buy additional Premier cables for other components in your system. It is well worth doing for high quality sources like CD players as well as preamps and power amps. If your system consists of an integrated amp and CD player, you just need two additional Premier cables to get the full BANGO (nod to Bucks’ fans!) improvement. The sonic benefit of Aquarius is immediately noticeable. The sound is CLEARER. Every instrument pops out with more verve. The biggest improvement to my taste though, is the lack of soggy bass. With no mains conditioner, or any other brand I’ve heard, the bass is mush in comparison. With Aquarius, the bass has more attack, definition and impact. I can prove it to you with a demo. Or, you can read that the reviewers agree with me! HiFi+ The new Aquarius sports a pair of 16 amp, thermo-magnetically fused high current outlets, plus a quartet of 5 amp, bayonet fused, auto adjusting medium current outlets. These feature the company’s own “Adaptive Gating” technology- an auto sensing stage that adapts to the current draw of the load. It also calls upon Isotek’s new KERP (Kirchoff’s Equal Resistance Path) technology developed for the latest line of conditioners. Isotek has also developed a new choke design, with improved magnetic material that is claimed to offer increased frequency bandwidth, 67,500 amps of instantaneous and repeatable protection and a case that creates an effective farady cage when closed. I’ve been a Gll Minisub user for some years. It was the product that above all others made mains conditioning a feature in the UK scene, even winning over those most curmudgeonly of mains hold outs, Naim users. It was keenly priced, sorted out the sound of mid priced equipment perfectly and was the sort of thing that sat nicely in the equipment rack. The whole auditioning process took about 30 seconds. Play piece of music on MiniSub. Play it again on Aquarius. What we have is a sound that is fuller, seemingly louder and more dynamic, rising out of a quieter background. All the things MiniSub did to music … but more so. Over the next two days or more, things got even better. Going back to the original (MiniSub) is like going back to hamburger when you’ve dined on steak. Going back to the original mains power cable is like eating the box the burger came in. EW! My initial impression was that a sense of calm suddenly reigned over the whole performance. There was extra focus to the stereo image while extended listening alerted me to new details and information that emerged. Bass remained tight, but more relaxed, lower frequencies seemed to have to make less of an effort to be heard. On Nancy Wilson “Who Can I Turn To” whenever Wilson extended a note by utilizing her vibrato, the Aquarius was able to more easily follow the voice as it moved up and down the frequencies during the vibrato sequence and do it more effectively than the MiniSub. The greater clarity and enhanced, quiet background of Aquarius allowed the voice to be properly tracked for the first time. Without Aquarius an upper midrange bloom tended to mask the vibrato at source. I regard the Isotek as another step in helping to remove what I consider to be the most critical obstruction to good music in any hifi- distortion and its associated noisy cousins. Fidelity Magazine I deliberately scheduled my test sessions during the times in which the power in my apartment was noticeably strained. As soon as Aquarius came into the game, the improvement in my chain’s performance was astonishingly clear. I observed noticeable improvements in three areas. The most significant effect can be seen in the spatial representation. With the Aquarius in the loop there are considerable enhancements. Sound sources can be more precisely located, seem firmly anchored in their position, and are perceived to go half a meter further in depth and fan out more extensively in breadth. This positive effect can be seen in all musical genres and styles. Orchestras have a more precise depth gradation, mixed voices sound considerably more convincing, even chamber music is more enjoyable, especially when produced in such a manner that the space in which it is recorded is alive with the music. Hall sounds more natural, refined- it even seems possible to actually imagine the qualities and nature of the place it was recorded (cool, warm, woodsy, etc.) Cymbal, rattler, shaker, sizzler- they all sound remarkably more detailed, and it’s easier to differentiate them from one another in their timbre- even the cowbell sounds positively more metallic, more bell like. Last but not least, there is also a bit more to enjoy in terms of bass. The impulses seem to me to be crisper and more refined. The bass drum appears to have a more immediate effect, the bass lines sound groovier and purified. In short, the Isotek Aquarius is worth its salt in every respect. It enhances the system with an undoubtedly audible upgrade, while giving its owner the good feeling of not having purchased it based on esoteric nonsense but on an immaculate design that can be relied upon. Pure genius! Hifi Pig The background became totally silent, with not even the tiniest amount of hiss when the amp’s volume was cranked up to maximum, whereas it was there before the Aquarius was introduced. I heard no hums or buzzes either. The sound just opened up and flowed with absolute ease from the speakers, fine details had acquired a polished refinement, presented in an endless stream of new found details, so it was no effort at all to hear all of the tiny nuances in the recording without having to strain to hear them. Bass too acquired a palpable firmness and solidity without any trace of boom or overhang at all. Drums and bass were immense in scale yet under perfect control at all times. Of particular note however, was the sound stage and imaging which really was holographic in every sense of the word and it was effortless in placing musicians and instruments into fixed points in space with an ethereal quality to them, being surrounded and enveloped by an inky blackness. In short, I believe the Isotek Aquarius unshackled my system and let it do what it does best, with the benefit of having what the Aquarius doing what it does best, forming a perfect symbiotic partnership. NOW INCLUDES PREMIER C19 POWER CABLE One of the most cost-effective upgrades you can buy for any high-quality audio system, Aquarius is a multi-award-winning six-way mains conditioner that redefined the power cleaning market. Two high-current outlets are provided for amplifiers, subwoofers and so on, with four medium-current sockets for other components. Removes Common Mode and Differential Mode mains noise. RFI reduction 60dB. Six unique conditioning stages ensure optimal isolation between all outlets, eliminating Differential Mode cross- contamination. KERP© (Kirchoff’s Equal Resistance Path) ensures equal resistance and equal power delivery to all outlets. No outlet gets power before the next, a common problem with other power products which daisy chain outlets together. 67,500A of instantaneous protection, featuring IsoTek’s unique sequential protection system. Internal wiring; solid core silver platted OFC copper with FEP and virtual air dielectric technology. Two high-current outlets delivering 3,680W continuous. Four medium-current outlets delivering 1,150W continuous power. Available in UK, EU, US, AU, CH and ZA sockets. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Aquarius is the long-awaited successor to the famous Mini Sub, arguably the best-known mains conditioner in IsoTek’s highly respected catalogue. The original Mini Sub was launched in 2003 to universal acclaim, and its eventual replacement – the GII Mini Sub – was held in even greater esteem, earning no fewer than 9 awards from prestigious audio publications around the world. Autumn 2009 sees the launch of the next generation, building upon the success of its illustrious forebears and benefitting from IsoTek’s continuous R&D programme to set another new performance benchmark. Like the Mini Sub before it, Aquarius is a six-way mains conditioning component that sits squarely in the middle of IsoTek’s range, above the likes of the entry-level Sirius and below the high-end Sigmas, Nova and Titan. It sports two high-current and four medium-current outlets, all individually filtered and fully isolated from one another, together with a newly designed aluminium casing and host of enhancements under the lid, some trickled down from IsoTek’s top-end components, others newly developed and made available for the first time in Aquarius. Current delivery is greater than the GII Mini Sub, with a full 16 Amps available from its two high-current outlets, ensuring musical transients are entirely unrestricted. Thermo-magnetic fusing contributes to this enhanced delivery, as does the use of a 16A IEC C20 inlet to connect Aquarius to the mains. Easily distinguished from standard IEC plugs and sockets because their pins are horizontal instead of vertical, IEC C20 connectors enable superior current delivery compared to the C13 plug and C14 socket most commonly found on audio equipment. The four medium-current outlets now feature IsoTek’s Adaptive Gating technology – an auto-sensing filter stage that adapts to the current draw of the load, thus tailoring the filtering process to suit the component attached to each individual outlet. This proprietary technology first appeared in the high-end Nova and Sigmas power conditioners; Aquarius delivers it at a significantly lower price. Also new for Aquarius is K.E.R.P. (Kirchoff’s Equal Path of Resistance), a technology specially developed for IsoTek’s latest EVO3 generation of power conditioners. This engenders a pure, symmetrical signal path throughout the unit, without interference from one socket to the next, thus helping to deliver a more coherent sound. Further enhancements are made by an all-new choke design, incorporating improved magnetic material and enabling increased frequency bandwidth; the independent filter stages have also been improved throughout. Even the sturdy new aluminium case plays its part in raising performance levels, its massive ground plan allowing it to act like a Faraday cage when closed, thus providing further shielding from electromagnetic radiation (EMI). It’s not just about sonic enhancement, however; Aquarius delivers greater protection from spikes and surges, too, with a massive 67,500 Amps of instantaneous and repeatable protection. The fact that it is repeatable is important: many mains filters have protection circuits that trip and need resetting manually. Or worse, they trip once and stay tripped, despite allowing the system to play, thus providing no protection at all, unbeknown to the end-user. The effect that Aquarius has on a system’s sound, compared to the same system without conditioning, is unequivocal – just as it was with the GII Mini Sub. The noise floor drops and the sound gains greater focus, with reduced grain and improved clarity. Bass is tighter and better defined, treble gains space and ‘air’, and the overall musical performance appears more solid and dynamic, and hence more ‘real’. What’s more, compare the Aquarius to the GII Mini Sub and it is clear that the gains are considerably greater with the new unit. The sound appears more dynamic, rising out of a quieter background, and the music connects with the listener more emphatically as a result. IsoTek has achieved its objective: Aquarius sets a new mains conditioning benchmark below £1,000. “The original Mini Sub is the product that helped put IsoTek on the map,” said Keith Martin, IsoTek’s founder and Managing Director. “In many ways, it was also responsible for making mains conditioning a serious component of the UK hi-fi scene, introducing a legion of audio fans to the tremendous improvements that effective mains conditioning can bring to any hi-fi system. Replacing such a stalwart with a new model is a tremendous responsibility, but no one who tries Aquarius can be in any doubt that we have succeeded in improving on its award-winning predecessor. Unlike other performance-enhancing accessories – cables and the like – Aquarius will improve the sound of every component in your system, ensuring it’s the most cost-effective upgrade an audio lover is ever likely to make.” IsoTek does not believe in suppling or including poor quality £1.00 black plastic power cables with its products. 25. Item: Isotek Power Conditioner Solus in Black Location: Perth Price: Black Solus $1000- new $1400- Item Condition: MINT CONDITION LIKE NEW Reason for selling: Selling 2nd system Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only shipping plus fees Extra Info: SOLUS info and Aquarius info from klappav website EVO3 SOLUS 6 Positioned between the entry-level Sirius and highly acclaimed Aquarius in IsoTek’s range, the EVO3 Solus builds upon the design of the outgoing GII Solus by incorporating a number of technologies trickled down from the company’s top-end power conditioning units. Up to six audio components may be connected, delivering a cost-effective way to significantly upgrade the sound quality of every source and amp component in a hi-fi system. IsoTek’s most affordable rack-width component conditioner improves audio and audio-visual electronics whilst fitting neatly into a hi-fi rack – an award- winning, simple and effective way to upgrade the sound of your hi-fi. Features: Removes Common Mode and Differential Mode mains noise. RFI reduction 45dB. Independent outlets – no outlets are connected together, stopping Differential Mode cross-contamination. Unique Individual Differential Gate© filter network improves the isolation between each of the six outlets, further eliminating cross contamination. KERP© (Kirchoff'sEqualResistancePath) ensures equal resistance and equal power delivery across all outlets. No outlet gets power before the next, a common problem with other power products which daisy chain outlets together. 22,500A of instantaneous protection, featuring IsoTek's unique sequential protection system. Internal wiring; multi-strand silver platted OFC copper with PTFE dielectric. Maximum power, continuous 2,300W. Available in UK, EU, US, AU, CH and ZA sockets. Mains noise can be broken down into two types. The first is differential noise, which is typically caused by switching – everything from a light switch to the switch-mode power supplies used in common domestic appliances. The second is common mode noise, which emanates from a point source, such as a radio transmitter. These noise types are complete opposites, yet they exist side by side and arrive in the home via live and neutral mains cables. IsoTek has enhanced a number of key circuits to ensure the EVO3 Solus tackles both differential and common mode noise with even greater effectiveness than the GII model it replaces. The sophisticated delta filter network has been significantly improved, while newly devised individual differential filtering is applied to each of the unit’s six outputs, preventing cross-contamination between connected audio components. IsoTek’s proprietary K.E.R.P. and Polaris-X technologies are also integrated into the design. K.E.R.P. (Kirchoff’s Equal Resistance Path) equalises resistance across all outlets, thereby increasing the effectiveness of the internal filter networks. Polaris-X ensures that the electrons take the easiest route, thus reducing crosstalk and improving component-from-component isolation. In addition to improved filtering, the EVO3 Solus delivers greater protection against spikes and surges in the mains supply, with 22,500A of instantaneous, repeatable protection on tap. In contrast to inferior designs, a full 10 amps of current can be drawn at any time, delivering power of up 2300VA with unrestricted transient ability – this is especially important for power amplifiers. Silver-plated oxygen-free copper wiring is used throughout, while the unit’s sturdy rack-width aluminium casing ensures it is built to last. The system diagram below illustrates the various processes as electricity travels from a wall socket through the EVO3 Solus, to each of the six individually filtered outlets. With advanced, proprietary technologies delivering class-leading mains filtering, the new EVO3 Solus is a superbly cost-effective way to enhance and safeguard any high-quality audio system. IsoTek does not believe in suppling or including poor quality plastic power cables with its products. Please browse through their cable range.
