The Excellence digital cable has two separately routed shields. This means that the sensitive audio data is optimally protected from external interferences. Further information: These are German made cables and this particular set of IC belong to the Air series where the ultra pure copper wires are actually suspended in Air thereby minimising capacitance. The result is palpable big airy soundstage. They retail for $1,700.
