  1. Further Information: Up for sale is my Audio-gd Master 11 headphone amplifier/pre and DAC combination and Singxer SU-1 digital audio USB bridge. Audio-gd no longer make the Master 11 because the PCM1704UK Ladder DAC chip is no longer produced. Audio-gd now makes their own discrete r2r resistor ladder DAC but if you do your research, they're not lauded in the same regard are their older PCM1704UK counterparts, like the Master 11. The sound can be described as smooth and transparent. The DAC is best paired with the Singxer SU-1 for USB audio, hence why it is included. Also included is a 15cm WireWorld UltraViolet5 HDMI cable for i2s connection between the USB audio bridge and the Master 11. The headphone amplifier has plenty of power to drive even the least sensitive headphones (think Hifiman He-6). With this amp I have used Hifiman He-1000 v2, Audeze LCD-2F, Sennheiser HD-800 (no harshness with this combination) and Focal Elegia; all have sounded excellent with this amplifier. Best that you're using the balanced XLR output to get the most out of the amplifier. This Master 11 was originally purchased in 2015 but upgraded in 2016 with the latest DSP V7 software. I have an email exchange to Audio-gd to prove this. This process involved opening the unit and flashing the new DSP firmware with an Altera blaster; hence the sticker on the rear left corner is torn. This upgrade in the DSP software, at least to my ears, improved the transparency and the slam in the bass and sub-bass. You can view the specifications of this combination DAC/AMP/PRE here: http://www.audio-gd.com/Master/Master-11/M11EN.htm I'm not willing to split these two. I prefer pickup as this is a hefty unit. Shipping at an agreed cost. Note: No IEC power cables will be included (I was using my own IsoTek power cables). Photos: u

  4. Item: Stax SRD Pro Price Range: $400-$600 Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: I have a pair of Stax SR-L500 mk1 and I'd like to use an SRD in my setup to switch the signal between speakers and headset. Require the PRO bias to work with my headphones.
  5. Need some sanity check on what I'm trying to do and how to do it... I'd like to run my Stax 727 off my Yamaha R-N602 so I can switch between my TT and Spotify. Thought I could keep Kefs as Speaker A and run the Stax as speaker B. I thought I could do this with RCAs, but then realised the R-N602 has banana plugs. Jaycar told me I could use a 2xRCA into 1xRCA cable, cut the 2xRCA off and install banana plugs and this would work. Yamaha is now alerting to a speaker wire short circuit. Is what I'm trying possible? Can it work without a preamp out? Is my homemade cable the problem? Is my R-N602 at fault? How can I test? How can I gloriously enjoy my stax?
  6. Further information: Bought it from Minidisc in June 2018, invoice and original package/accessories will be included Very versatile and decent desktop amp, I used it as my "backup" amp of WA5 for casual yet satisfying listening Feel free for pm me any questions Jim Photos:
  7. Further information: I bought this second hand some time ago and it already had the minor cosmetic damage to it. It appears to have been scraped along the front causing damage to the volume knob and HP sockets (see images). However, it has worked perfectly for the entire time I've had it (a few years now) and continues to be a great amp. It's basically a single-ended version of the NFB-1 amp (according to Audio-gd) and it's got buckets of power (3W @ 25 ohm, Class A) and tonnes of inputs and outputs for use as both headamp and preamp. The output is switchable so you can keep it connected to speakers and headphones and just easily toggle between the two. Here's a link to the Audio-gd listing: http://www.audio-gd.com/Pro/Headphoneamp/C22015/C22015EN.htm (Please note: I do not have the remote control as mentioned on the site) It's pretty big (see image with headphones for scale) and weighs a fair amount so will need to discuss shipping costs or local pickup with minimum contact Photos:
