  1. Further information: This is a great little amp. It's powerful, smooth and enjoyable to listen to. I've been using it with ZMF Vérité Open and Bifrost 2 and it has kept up admirably. This has been one of my favourite headphone combos. See impressions at, eg, https://www.head-fi.org/threads/schiit-asgard-3-impressions-thread.914012/, https://www.superbestaudiofriends.org/index.php?threads/schiit-asgard-3-headphone-amp-with-continuity-output-stage.8228/ Excellent condition. Has been used for 200 hours at most. Comes with all original packaging and receipt. If you purchase with the Bifrost 2 (also pictured and for sale), I will throw in the Schiit Pyst RCA cables I purchased with them. Current price to buy locally is $530 (and not too much cheaper to buy from Schiit when you add shipping). Photos:
  2. Further information: Hi, model needs no introduction - plenty of reviews online and it’s fantastic. Unit is as new and have all accessories and original packaging. It’s only a couple of months old, purchased from Minidisc. I’m selling as I’ve decided to move to a full desktop set-up. Happy to post whatever method you like (at buyers cost) or do local pick-up. 4. Hi. In the past I wasn't a great fan of headphones but lately I've been listening to them more than usual. I've been enjoying it enough to think about the dreaded upgrade path. I'm wondering what upgrade options are out there to improve my HP listening and as a bonus if possible gain an improvement to my speaker listening? Current gear is Emotiva DC-1 used as a preamp/dac into nc400 mono blocks and as a HP amp. I alternate between the the DC-1 dac and a PS Audio DL3 into the analogue inputs of the DC-1. Headphones are Hifiman HE400i and speakers are Kef Reference 3.2 from 2001. I also have an Audio Note preamp which I alternate with the DC-1. (probably seems odd to some) Do I upgrade the headphones or do I buy a new headphone amp and/or dac? Or even a multi function device like the Keces E40 or Cayin HA-1A? Thanks in advance for any suggestions you have. Would ideally like to spend under $1000.
  5. Further information: So here for sale is one of my beloved MiniMax headphone amps. I loved my first one so much, that I decided to build another. Turns out, I only need one Built with high quality parts throughout, and a great design over all. Comes with tubes, as a 24AC power supply (much nicer than a DC wall wart). You can learn more about this amp here: http://www.diyforums.org/MiniMAX/MiniMAXoverview.php I've not included an electrical disclaimer for this item, as it's powered by an external, off the shelf power supply. Photos (AKG 701s NOT for sale!):
  6. Further information: All 3 items are in immaculate condition and are rarely used (this is my second headphone set up). Headphone amp comes with 2 set of tubes. Plenty of information and good reviews on the internet. Headphones and music player come with original boxes and accessories. Headphone amp doesn’t have box. Price includes postage (flat rate) Australia wide. 7. Further information: Used in my second system as preamplifier...now using CA streamer as preamp/DAC so this one is NLR. A head amp which is different because you can match different impedances of headphones. The Head One runs a pair of 6S45P triodes with 1.8dB of negative feedback on the outputs while one EZ80(81) becomes the indirectly heated rectifier. Two inputs switched via rear-mounted switch and 2 pre-outs for bi-amping or subwoofing* turn this into a small preamp as well. The Head Oneincludes a spare new JJ Electronic EZ81 rectifier valve. Comes in original box and wooden crate for safe transport. If required, local buyers can check tubes strength with my tube tester. Price is firm. Current RRP price is 2099 Euros. 9. Further information: I bought this unit in September 2015. I then purchased a much more substantial headphone amp and this was left in its packaging at the back of the cupboard. I have only taken it out once, which is to take these photos attached. It has decent reviews for a USD200 unit: https://www.cnet.com/news/upgrade-your-headphones-sound-with-musical-fidelitys-v-can-amplifier/ It is available for pick-up or else if you would like it posted to you, that can be arranged at extra cost (let's say $10 within Australia), it will come in its original packaging. The original packages and accessories provided. It comes with a dedicated Topping Acrylic Rack and two Schiit Audio RCA short cables for interconnection. This DAC & headphone amp combo is very suitable for entry-level HiFi listening. It can drive most IEMs and headphones as well as power your speakers! Details of DAC and Amp can be found in following links: D30 DAC Info & specs A30 Headphone Amp Info & specs Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved. 16. Further information: Purchased new from local Sydney HiFi store for $1895, it’s as-new with original box, comprehensive user manual and USB Lead. Selling as I’m using the DAC1 HDR that had a remote option, otherwise pretty much identical. This unit is solid and well made, manufactured in the USA. It is far more than just a high quality DAC, it can also function as a digital and analogue pre-amp, with an analogue input, with 5 digital inputs, ie. usb, optical and 3x coax. Has both balanced and unbalanced outputs and output can be either fixed or variable for connection direct to a power amp. The main feature however it was used for is its outstanding 2x headphone inputs, it was used mostly with a set of AKG 701/2 and HD600/650 headphones and are the perfect match. pickup preferred or alternately I will pack and post registered post with tracking and signature Australia wide for $25. 20. Extra Info: I purchased this from a SNA member around Christmas 2019 to drive my headphones. But I also bought a Woo Audio dac/amp at the same time. So I need to sell some Dac to get funding. The RRP was $6,800, and currently having a sale on Apollohifi for $4,499. I am priced it for sale. This unit is heavier than it looks like and packaged with a lot of high tech. It has volume control so can be used as a preamp as well. Chord's sound is balanced overall, the bass and guitar sounding natural and present in their spatial locations. Comes with remote, wall charger, and USB stick with drivers for windows. I do not have the original box, but can pack it safely for inter-state shipping at buyers' expense. 22. Item: Creek Audio OBH-21SE Special Edition Headphone Amplifier Location: Sydney, Lindfield NSW 2070 Price: $275 (+$25 postage) Item Condition: Great condition, a couple of tiny nicks around the Creek logo Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal Extra Info: I have for sale my Creek OBH-21 SE headphone amp. This is the SE - special edition. I bought it brand new about 10 years ago, and used lightly as I don't listen to headphones too often. The amp is in great condition. It has a couple of tiny nicks, the biggest one is on the Creek logo (see photos). It comes from a smoke, pet and kid-free home. The amp can drive two pairs of low to medium impedance headphones at the same time. I used various headphones over the years, including AKG K702, Sennheiser HD-650 and Hifiman HE-400i. All sounded great with it. I switched to Stax a couple of years ago, which came with its own amp, and the Creek hasn't been getting any use. So the sale. The amp comes with its original box and the OBH Uni power adapter. The adapter has swappable power plugs, but I only have the UK one. I'm happy to post to anywhere in Australia. Pickup and audition available in Lindfield NSW 2070. Photos:
  23. Hi Guys, Anyone have one of these or any experience with it? Have seen some reviews that talk about it being the amp for HD800 and LCD-4, or high impedance HPs. Thanks.
  24. Item: Little Dot Mk II Headphone Amplifier Location: Adelaide Price: $SOLD Item Condition: Mint Reason for selling: Selling head-fi rig Payment Method: Pickup, EFT, Cash, Paypal (buyer pays all transaction fees & postage) Extra Info: Great condition and one of the best value headphone amplifiers available. The device has a single volume knob on the front along with a blue LED and of course, the 6.3mm port. At the back you can find the input and output RCA pots as well as the power button. The specifications of the amp are as follows: Input: Gold-Plated Unbalanced Phono (RCA) Jacks Output: 1/4" Gold-Plated Stereo Headphone out Driver Tubes: 6JI Power Tubes: 6N6 Frequency Response: 20HZ - 50KHz (-1dB) THD+N: 0.1% (50mW into 300 ohms) Suitable Headphone Impedance: 32 - 600 ohms Pre-Amplifier Output Impedance: 10K ohms Power Output: 300mW into 300 ohms 200mW into 120 ohms 100mW into 32 ohms Average Power Usage: 28 watts Dimensions: 210mm (length) by 110mm (width) by 130mm (height) Weight: 2.5 kg or 5.5 lbs. The Little Dot MK II boasts a SEPP (single ended push pull) circuit (in similar vein to the rest of the MK-series tube amplifiers) greatly increases sound quality, dynamic range, output impedance, and harmonic distortion. The Little Dot MK II also provides gain control of 3, 5, and 10 via internal DIP switches for fine-tuning so you can maximize synergy with almost any headphone you have, whether it be 32 ohms or 600. Some cheap tube amps have what is called a hybrid design, where the power is provided by a transistor based circuit and the driver circuitry is tube based. Examples of these designs are the headphone amps with only a single vacuum tube (the driver tube). Not only does the Little Dot MK II have a fully tube based design (both power and driver elements are tube based) it actually has independent circuitry for the left and right channels. So essentially, you have 1 power tube and 1 driver tube for the left channel and 1 power tube and 1 driver tube for the right channel. This is called an SEPP design (think of it as 2 + 2 design).
