5. Item: Wilson Benesch Vector Floor Standing Loudspeakers Location: Princes Hill, Victoria Price: $7,250, $7,500, *** Price reduction ***, Buyer pays shipping Item Condition: 9/10 (Only because they are not new) Reason for selling: Funding for change of direction Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I am the first and only owner of these amazing speakers. I purchased them in February 2016. The colouring is carbon fibre and "Regal" silver. They are in excellent condition with no scratches etc and been kept in a smoke free environment. These floor standing speakers are extremely neutral, accurate, fast with amazing imaging ability. They are also very small standing around one metre tall so are at home in small rooms (mine is 4m x 4m) but can fill much bigger spaces. They are constructed entirely from carbon fibre, aluminium and steel which greatly reduces the need for internal bracing and therefore allows them to have an internal volume much larger than you might expect form such a small speaker - not quiet Doctor Who's Tardis but you get the idea - this allows them to produce high sound levels and deeper bass than you might expect from such a small loudspeaker. Their size and modern design got the thumbs-up from my wife. There are two ports one out back and one downward pointing underneath the box. I have the speakers about 30cm from the front wall and they have no problems. The Vector's starting retail price at Klapp if $19,295 which puts them around the same price league as the B&W 803, Sonus Faber Olympica III, Focal Sopra No2 & Monitor Audio Platinum PL300 II to name a few. The Vectors are the current model and the entry point floor standing loudspeaker in the Wilson Benesch Geometry Series. The Vectors are pretty sensitive (89dB). I've driven them with a broad range of amplifier styles and power - Vitus RI-100, Karan KA-I180 & Devialet 120 - and in all cases they sounded great. Being a very accurate and revealing speaker they highlight the characteristics of the upstream components and source material rather than imparting their own character. In regards to their "sound" think more Magico and much less Harbeth. I have all the original boxes, manuals and packing material. For those of you unfamiliar with Wilson Benesch here is some info: https://www.stereo.net.au/reviews/wilson-benesch-vector-loudspeakers/ http://wilson-benesch.com/vector-floor-standing-loudspeaker/ https://klappav.com.au/collections/wilson-benesch/products/vector-loudspeaker If you are seriously considering these fantastic loudspeakers I'm happy to provide auditions. 8. Item: Monitor Audio Silver 10 speakers Location:Perth Price: $2200 + shipping Item Condition: Perfect Reason for selling: Downgrading – only use it to watch tv, which is such a waste for such capable speakers Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: High gloss black (premium finish). Approx 1.5 years old (purchased in Frank Prowse HiFi WA) Have original box, grills, speaker spikes This is the largest speaker in this line of MA speakers. It is very capable, and the bass is fantastic. Digs deep (I use it without a subwoofer), but is not boomy. I spent a fair bit of time auditioning speakers, before selecting these. Great for movies and music. It was also the only one that my mrs would let me keep in our family room – the gloss black contrast to white dimpled drivers look fantastic. http://www.monitoraudio.co.uk/products/silver/silver-10 Pictures:

12. Here is a pair of homemade floorstanding speakers I designed. A 100% original design, no speaker kits. I designed all the specifications for the enclosures and had a friend build the cabinets for me. I then painted the cabinets and installed the drivers. Cabinets are 88cm tall, 22cm wide and about 30cm deep and are constructed of 18mm MDF all round. Bass/midrange driver is a 6.5 inch Sony Quick-Edge Woofer taken from my old Sony speakers. The driver has a HOP mica cone and thick grooved rubber surround (suspension). The tweeter is a 1 inch Vifa soft dome tweeter which I purchased separately. I decided to use a better quality Vifa tweeter over the old Sony cone tweeter because it front mounts to the cabinet a lot more easier and looks much more professional, sounds much better too. There is no crossover in the cabinet. Instead the woofer has dual terminals with a capacitor glued on that cuts out the lows to the tweeter so as I said no crossover is required. They are connected to a single set of banana plug terminals at the rear of the cabinet. The inside of the cabinet is stuffed with damping material along the side walls and parts of the front and rear baffle. I painted the speakers myself in a two tone grey/black finish enamal paint, starting with 3 coats of primer sanding between each coat and doing 3 coats of semi gloss grey for the sides and rear and 2 coats of satin black for the front, top and bottom. The speaker enclosure is ported and after doing some calculations online I figured the port length needed to be 5 inches after figuring out the woofers have a resonant frequency of about 54hz. Luckily I did not have to chop the ports shorter as they turned out to be roughly the correct length with the box capacity 31 litres. Port length is crucial if you want good, balanced bass response. The ports are 6 inches deep from the entrance, 3 inches wide. I was aiming at just a simple secondary pair of speakers for reference, not after the top quality sound. My VAF Research I-91 standmount speakers are superior with their Seas coaxial drivers but the Speakers I made turned out to have surprisingly good sound quality. Bass extention is superb and can easily put out 30hz and the top end is very nice from the Vifa tweeters. Upper midrange lacks a little bit but the stereo imaging is beyond superb and they also do a great job with 2 channel movies as well since they can go very deep, down to about 30hz. I decided to nickname the speakers Thunderboxes. Excellent for dance music. Overall I am very happy by the sound quality these speakers put out. Total cost MDF $100, Sandpaper, paint and primer $40. Vifa tweeters $40. Terminals, Ports and Foam $40. = About $220 overall. Excellent Bass down to below 30hz. In my room (carpet over floorboards, plaster walls) the bass tends to be stronger below 60hz (in the 35-55hz range) so these would make excellent 2 channel cinema speakers. This is also a rear ported design as well. Warm midrange. Upper midrange slightly less. Crisp and balanced sounding treble. Excellent stereo imaging if toed in or straight. Here is a youtube demo of the speakers. The sound quality is not good from the camera. And photos are also attached.
13. Hi All, **SOLD PENDING** Item: Bowers and Wilkins 683's in Wenge. Purchased 31/12/2009 Location: Melbourne (Balwyn/Surrrey Hills area) Price: $1350 negotiable. Will post if buyers covers cost. Item Condition: Excellent (immaculate with the exception of a tiny (~4mm) crease on the rear edge of one cabinet and another tiny (~4mm) mark on the front baffle edge - both are barely noticeable when looking closely. Reason for selling: Upgrading Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only (If paying by paypal, add 4%). Cash preferred if picking up, DD preferred if interstate and shipping required. Extra Info: I purchased these new on 31/12/2009 as my first set of 'proper' speakers. I grew up with a pair of B&W 801's in the house so my lifelong dream of owning a pair of B&W's was realised. These are truly brilliant speakers for the money and are very favourably reviewed. Wenge was a very popular and difficult to find colour and really look very nice with a broad selection of lounge room decor. I have cared for these extremely well, always moving them in their original boxes (twice only) and the covers were always in place to protect the drivers when in use. I have the original boxes, spikes (currently the rubber feet are fitted due to wood flooring), manuals etc. We have a child and pet free home so no damage of any sort is present; I really look after my gear and with the exception of the 2 marks I mention above, they are in absolutely immaculate condition. They have recently released a 'new' 600 series model 683, and it has a narrower cabinet creating a lower internal volume and significantly higher low frequency point giving leaner bass. I think the original model is the one to have for sure. Package deal: I will sell these as a package deal with my mint condition Denon PMA2000AE listed here for $2500 total Pictures: Sorry these are phone pics, my DSLR is currently being repaired.
14. Hi, I am looking to spend approximately $1000 on speakers which will mainly be used to listen to bass heavy electronic music. From a few reviews I have read online the NHT Absolute towers look like a decent option. Although they seem to get great feedback from reviews on home theatre sites I haven't seen them mentioned much, if at all in the forums. I am getting a Rythmik FV15HP to go with it and an AVR which I am still in the process of deciding on. Thanks in advance for any help.
