Further information: For your consideration is a high end S.A.M. Adebaran turntable from Croatia. This table is fitted with 2x sought after Fidelity Research tonearms, an FR-14 and FR-64S with Empire 1000ZE/X MI and Fidelity Research FR-7 LOMC carts installed. Other upgrades include a Linear Power Supply and Van Damme silver plated OFC tonearm interconnects. The original S.A.M. Calista II unipivot tonearm is included with the table. I've an extra belt available as well. The collective value of the two Fidelity Research tonearms alone is around $5,000, and the cartridges around $1,500 so this really is something of a bargain. Selling as the boss has said it has to go so here we are. The Fidelity Research arms are incredibly engineered with bearings that are second to none. Due to this the FR-14 seems to work well with the highest compliance carts despite being a medium mass arm. The FR-64S is a heavyweight designed specifically for use with the Ortofon SPU, and the FR-7 cartridge in turn was Fidelity Research's answer to the SPU though having owned both I much prefer the FR-7 with it being one of my all time favorite carts. I'll be sad to see it go though I don't have another arm that will work well with it (it's a 30g cart). If interested please give me a week to set up. It's been in storage for a couple of months and I've a baby in the house so time is at a premium. Photos:
Item: Fidelity Research FR-1 Mk3F (highly sought after F version) Location: Brisbane Price: $800 (sent Express Post) Item Condition: Near perfect aesthetically, has been retipped by Garrott Bros with their top of the line FGS cantilever and FG-S tip. Not even an hours use since the retip (I have my AT ART9 mounted). It was mounted only long enough to know everything was right after the retip. The Mk3F is near impossible to come by so you're not likely to see another listed any time soon. It took me years to track this one down. Here's your chance at one of the best sounding vintage low output moving coils ever made. Reason for selling: Ordered a new phono stage Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal Extra Info: This is the rare Mk3F version of the FR-1 Mk3 which designates the rising frequency response of the cartridge is fixed so it's flat vs the original Mk3. On eBay even the regular Mk3 is now listed for over $1000 so I think $800 is fair enough for the improved Mk3F Headshell not included Specs: Photos:
Item: Fidelity Research 64s tonearm Location: Sydney Price: $2,000 Item Condition: very good (conservative due to age) Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, Extra Info: The tonearm is in excellent condition. Have been using it with a Koetsu Rosewood Signature Platinum cartridge and the sound was absolutely perfect. The only reason for selling is the itch to hear other tonearms, cartridges, etc... you know the drill. In any case, I have the original box (also very good condition), as well as headshell and cables. The carbon headshell and cartridge (as seen in photo) are not included, however if interested, drop me a PM. At the asking price, I will add the FR cartridge alignment protractor. Buyer to pay shipping (if needed) and Paypal fees (unless friendly purchase). Tonearm packed and ready to go; can be inspected however. Item: Fidelity Research FR-1 Mk3 + Denon DL-303 (shibata retip) low output moving coil cartridges Location: Inner North Brisbane Price: $850 Item Condition: Looks mint. Sound fantastic. Reason for selling: Freeing up funds for a DIY project Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal Extra Info: The Fidelity Research FR-1 Mk3 sounds fantastic as can be expected of this legendary cartridge. Tip is original and cart looks new still. Denon DL-303 was the predecessor to the 304 and is a truly wonderful sounding cartridge. Very detailed as retipped by Garrott Bros a few years ago with a shibata tip. Priced for a quick sale. There are a number of FR-1 Mk3 carts on eBay right now for over $1,000 and the DL303 usual goes for $4-500. Sad to let them go Photos:
