Item: Rotel A10 Integrated Amplifier Location: Carlton North, Melbourne 3054 Price: $400 Item Condition: Excellent - Like New Reason for selling: Upgrade Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: This class AB amplifier has been hardly used - it's probably only seen about 50 hours of playtime. Bought brand new for the retail price of $649 and used with a Rega turntable. It has a great moving magnet phono stage built in and the slimline design makes it very compact. It's rated at 40 Watts per channel but honestly it packs quite a bunch despite it's slim design and has driven my Proac Super EBTs with ease. Comes with original box, cables, and all of the leaflets that came inside. All specs found in the link below. https://www.rotel.com.au/products/rotel-a10-integrated-amplifier Pictures:
I've been around vinyl for years courtesy of my old man's collection and I've always had a hand-me-down turntable to play my own stuff on, but figured its about time I get my own set up going. I've got an amp and CD deck I can manage with for now just need a decent entry level turntable to get going. Narrowed it to two models I'm considering, the Project Debut Carbon http://www.project-audio.com/main.php?prod=debutcarbon&cat=turntables?=en in the black (not that horrendous green) or the Project RPM 1.3 Genie http://www.project-audio.com/main.php?prod=rpm13&cat=turntables?=en. The main thing I'm looking at is which of the two different motor noise reduction systems these two models use is more effective (debut uses a sorbothane motor suspension system, while the Genie has a completely decoupled motor). Anyway any advice on experiences you may have had with either model or why you prefer one to the other would be appreciated.
