  2. Item: Electrocompaniet ECD-1 fully balanced 24-bit 192khz upsampling DAC Location: SYD - Inner West Item Condition: good cosmetically and excellent functionally Price: $650 (was around $4k new) - $15 donation to SNA on sale Reason for selling: NLR, clearing space Payment Method: Pickup – Cash, PayPal (friend or add 3%) Extra Info: 24Bit 192KHz upsampling DAC from Electrocompaniet, the same DAC that was used in their legendary EMC-1 UP CD-Player, accepting 16 - 24Bit inputs. Four inputs (1x XLR-AES/EBU, 2x RCA Coax and 1x Toslink) accepting 16-24 bit input signals. Two digital outputs (Toslink & RCA) and two analogue outputs (XLR balanced and RCA single ended). Sound is very musical and smooth with that lovely Electrocompaniet house-sound. Great detail and dynamics, built like a tank and with the exception of a USB input (no USB) can still very much hold its own nowadays. Turns a half decent CD player (used as a transport) into something quite amazing ... or grab yourself a USB to RCA/Toslink converter and use with any USB source. The DAC is in excellent working condition, there are some minor blemishes on the perspex front and the top of the unit Link to Electrocompaniet Website: http://www.electrocompaniet.no/products/classic/digital/discontinued/ecd1.html Happy for serious interest to inspect in person (pm me please). Local pick-up will be given preference, but would be able to pack safely and post at buyer's cost if required. Happy to deliver free of charge within the Sydney Metro or close by area. Cheers, Ralf

SOLD TO GLENN (2 SETS ONLY) 3 SETS LEFT THAT INCLUDE THE MACHINED STAINLESS STEEL TOPS TO ACCEPT SPEAKERS WITH SPIKES IF ALL SETS BOUGHT AT ONCE. Aurios Pro Max Isolation (latest Edition) 15 pieces I paid $ 600 per set) - 5 sets (3 pieces to a set) $ 350 per set. Latest model and I have them under my Quads and everything else. Super product. These alone were approx. $400 when bought. See pic attached. In order to be fair, the first person to pm about a product will get first right of refusal unless someone else pm's also at the same time, meeting the asking price. The person who meets the asking price will get the sale. All the items are juts great bits of gear and who ever purchases any equipment will be buying a premium product. I have checked international sales prices on the exact items and the prices I am requesting are far below market rate. It also means you buy in Australia and not dealing with anybody overseas. Pm me and I will provide my mobile number and even address and of course, you are welcome to inspect the system (or get someone you know over here to inspect it) at an y time. Postage will be at buyers cost and I only charge what I get charged. A receipt will be provided for all postage to confirm the real cost. I work full time, so will need a little time (especially for the Quads) to pack things in a bomb proof way. The Quads have the original boxes, so can be transported anywhere in Australia without issue. In saying that, I prfer people to arrange their own transport, but I will have everything packed ready to go. I could on some of the items, arrange transport and of course can provide a carrier if need be. No dramas on logistics. I have posted some pics, sorry if the pics are not great, if the genuine Pm comes through, I can take a few more in detail for the person interested on any of the items in detail. I will entertain offers of course but the prices listed are very fair compared to the new price and hopefully, I can find a new home for all the equipment. Thank you for considering. 10. Item: Electrocompaniet ECD-1 DAC Location: Orange NSW 2800 Price: $700 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Need funding for upgrade Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only, bank transfer Extra Info: This unit is a 24Bit 192KHz upsampling DAC accepting 16 - 24Bit inputs. The ECD-1 has four input's and connection for AES/EBU ( balanced ), RCA and TOSLINK. It has two digital outputs (TOSLINK (Optical) and RCA.) and two analogue outputs (balanced and single ended outputs). This unit performed the digital -to -analogue duties with my CD player as the transport. The sound was very smooth and detailed with lovely bass bloom. I also used the optical input for playstation/movies and the ECD-1 conveyed dynamics and detail beautifully. I've included with this sale an AT AES/EBU XLR cable and a Proel adapter for RCA connection. The unit is in excellent cosmetic and working order. Pictures:
  11. Item: Electrocompaniet ECD-1 DAC Location: Bayside, Melbourne Price: $650 Item Condition: Good, some minor marks visible on the perspex front and on the case top (see photos) Reason for selling: Upgraded to an Accuphase DC-37 Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: The Electrocompaniet ECD-1 is the digital half of the acclaimed EMC1 UP CD player. Regardless of the input signal type (16 - 24-bit is supported), the ECD1 will upsample the source to 24-bit resolution and a sampling frequency of 192 kHz. In addition, the ECD1 utilizes a completely balanced class-A design for each channel. Full details can be found at http://www.electrocompaniet.no/products/classic/digital/discontinued/ecd1.html I've been successfully using the ECD-1 connected to a Mac Mini via the optical out (combo headphones jack) and Audirvana music player. The Mac Tidal app also worked without any problems. I've included a photo to show all the inputs and outputs, but please note it doesn't have a USB input. There are a number of bridge solutions available that convert USB to optical or RCA but I was happy with the direct optical connection. I'm under instructions to sell due to my recent upgrade, but I'll be sad to see it go. Pictures:
  12. Item: Electrocompaniet EC-4,7 Location: Perth Price: $2250 (RRP $4499) Item Condition: Almost perfect Reason for selling: Need money Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, Direct transfer Extra Info: If you ever wanted a balanced setup - this is your chance. Top unit in top condition and is DC coupled from end to end. Valve like musicality and transistor like slam. For me, the EC is the end game in amplification. Remote, Manual, Box (double). Price - even if it is half of the RRP - I am kind of hoping is too high for anyone to buy it. This is not one of my repair jobs but a unit I bought for myself, War Office however is unimpressed with me having 3 EC pre-amps. I found the patented feet amusing. But they appear to sort of float the unit, maybe using some kind of metal or ceramic ball inside of these feet (see last pic). According to Pat O'Brian from W.A.R. Audio, you get 20 cent feet in your $1000 component and to get $5 feet, you need to spend $5k ~ $10k. They must have been trying to sell these for much more money if he is right.

  16. Guys, I need help. The EC3A Electrocompaniet preamp that I have been working on has had "a mishap" and one of the secondaries went open circuit. Anyone has spare one floating around, perhaps from a dead donor unit? It is a Danish TransElectro 7237 but really any 41V-0-41V with 0,4A secondaries would do (makes it 20VA) Primary is split into 2 x 115V but single 230V would do too. It is a small toroid 70mm diameter and 33mm height. Would really appreciate it. Roman

  19. Item full name and model etc. Electrocompaniet ECI-3 * Location Sydney Australia * Item condition description: About a 8 to 8.5 just have no box - but can bubble wrap * Price and price conditions: $1800 less than half price in AUS. ex shipping but will ship all over aus. * Reason for selling I'm that guy that's STILL trying to buy a house! so I'm selling everything from every room!!! In other words 14 years worth of Audio Industry rolled into SALE! * Payment Methods: Paypal (inc 3%), cash preferred, bank cheque, direct debit. * Extra Info: I've had this for over 18 months and considering the gear I have in my main room (Nagra, Wilson Audio, etc) the Electrocompaniet is a giant killer. I've always been impressed with the sound and it certainly makes my old retro Rega's sound top notch. This is a pimp daddy of a integrated with balanced imputs and outputs if you wish to buy some more power amps at a later date! It's got discrete inputs with a remote control plus a relay switching which is just very sexy! Please note this was bought in Aus too from the folks at Tivoli Hi-Fi. More information http://www.tivolihifi.com.au/product/integrated-amplifiers/electrocompaniet-eci-3-integrated-amp This amp is good value at $4,000 which is their asking price; I'm asking $1800 because that could almost buy me a pest inspection... 20. Item: Electrocompaniet EC-1 preamp Location: North Balwyn VIC Price: $800 Item Condition: V.Good Reason for selling: Unused Payment Method: Cash on pickup or PayPal/bank transfer if posting I bought this lovely Norwegian preamp a couple of years ago but since then I've just been using smaller, humbler integrated systems while living in small apartments. I don't really have the system to match this pre so it should go to a new home where it's used and appreciated. It's one of the best pieces in the history of Electrocompaniet and sounds amazing. The fellow I bought it from was running it together with the DBA Illusion I just sold and some big Duntechs which was a nice setup. It's in good condition cosmetically and functionally and has a phono section with MM and MC that trounces most. It's a very high-end piece of kit, costing around $5k in the 90s. The photos are a bit dark and I forgot to clean the smudges off the faceplate before photographing, so I can take some better photos on request (including some nudies). If anyone in Melbourne is interested, come around for a look and listen. Happy to post this anywhere.
