It generates an easy listening sound with a quiet background and can be auditioned at my place. It hasn't really grown on me and I would like to try some valve amplifiers. I bought this unit ex demo not to long ago and it has some tiny marks (back side) on the cover from its shelve life. Nothing that would be visible sitting in a rack. Thank you for your interest.
  7. Item: Creek 4330 Integrated Amplifier Location: Sydney, St Leonards Price: SOLD Item Condition: Excellent, with some upgrades, just a tiny little scratch (2mm) on the front panel. See photos. Reason for selling: Upgrade, no space for a second system Payment Method: Bank Deposit or Paypal, Cash on pickup Extra Info: I have for sale my Creek 4330 integrated amp, bit of a British classic. Predecessor of a more popular 5350, but the 4330 was also well regarded at its time. Plenty of reviews, e.g.: http://www.audioreview.com/cat/amplification/integrated-amplifiers/creek-audio/4330/prd_115738_2717crx.aspx It's in excellent condition, just a tiny little scratch on the front panel (see photos). The amp was made circa 2001. I'm the second owner and I enjoyed it for the last 10 years. The Creek had very easy life, never driven hard and comes from pet, smoke and child free home. The amp had a couple of upgrades over the years. The standard pot was replaced with the blue Alps. The tape monitor switch was replaced with a good quality Alps switch, and also the binding posts were replaced. I had this little amp driving my Castle speakers for most of its life. That was my second system for the last few years, and since I have already sold the other pieces due to lack of space, I need to say goodbye to it too. Reluctant sale as I'm a Creek's fan. I have a couple other Creek devices, and was hopping to keep 4330, but just recently upgraded to Creek Destiny. So the older brother needs to leave home. I have the original box, so no problem with posting. This is a version without remote control. Specs and instructions can be downloaded from here: http://audio.ring.lt/4330/4330.pdf Pictures:
  8. Item: Creek Destiny CD Player (made in UK model) Location: Hobart, TAS Price: $950ono $750ono Item Condition: Factory refurbished with some marks (shown) but working perfectly Reason for selling: Change of lifestyle, simplifying things (downgrading) Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal Extra Info: I bought this from Epoz Australia as a factory refurbished product. It cost me $1250. It came with full warranty and has never let me down, except for the marks on it that were not mentioned when I purchased it. There are a few scuffs/scratches on the CD player but the device works perfectly. The worst (IMO) is just above the CD tray, as shown. Comes with Creek remote. It sounds incredible. Do your own research or come and listen to it. I have it paired with an Evo 5350. Pictures: Let me know if you have any questions. Locals can come and have a listen. I can post it. Thanks, Jeremy. doakwolf@gmail.com

  10. Item: Creek Evolution 5350 Location: VIC Price: $1250 / Swap and trade in considered (excl shipping) Item Condition: 9/10 Reason for selling: Trying something else Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal(+3%), Bank Transfer Extra Info: With remote and original packaging Pictures: Hi, Up for sale/swap is a Creek Evolution 5350 integrated amp. This versatile amp can be used as a pre and power amp as well. Speaker A/B and headphone output. Power output is 120W 8ohm and 200W 4ohm. It generates an easy listening sound with a quiet background and can be auditioned at my place. For some reason it hasn't really grown on me and I would like to try something else when possible. I would like to keep it otherwise due to it's flexibility. I bought this unit ex demo not to long ago and it has some tiny marks (back side) on the cover from its shelve life. Nothing that would be visible sitting in a rack. I would consider a swap or trade in, with a good pre-amp with 2 pre outs in the color black. Thank you for your interest.

  12. Hey all, Figured I'd post up my gear since I have been through just about every other 'Showcase' post here - I love looking at other people's systems! I rent in a share-house so I keep my 2 channel system in my (largish) bedroom unless we're having a party then she gets moved into the social room Sources: Creek Destiny CDP Pioneer DV-667A PC into Yulong D100 DAC (arrived today, sourced from SNA classifieds section and being tested with some Tommy Emmanuel FLAC as I type! ) Speakers are 4x JV60 (with Paul Spencer crossovers) and a custom built R1000 active sub (Peerless XLS12 + PR) - designed for home theatre use but surprisingly good, musically Speakers are powered by the Creek Evo 5350 integrated amp and second pair powered by the Creek Destiny PA (I only really fire up all 4 if we're having a party ~800wrms is a little bit too much in a room this size! You'll notice the little Creek OBH-14 (DAC/pre) up on top too. I bought that cheaply to use as a DAC for the Pioneer (before picking up the Destiny CDP I was using the Pioneer as a CD transport) but now am using it to either control level to the power amp (to blend the 2nd set of speakers if needed) or as a pre for the sub amp. I'm new to 2 channel so I also fiddle with it and sometimes use it as a pre-amp in front of the Destiny PA as it sounds pretty darn good as a pre-amp! Few more pics: http://www.doakwolf.com/uploads/sys3.JPG http://www.doakwolf.com/uploads/sys4.JPG http://www.doakwolf.com/uploads/sys5.JPG I'm pretty happy with it all. I recently moved away from the multi-channel stuff for simplicity. Jezza.
  13. Item: Creek Destiny integrated amplifier (in rare black finish) Location: Clayton, Melbourne Price: SOLD Item Condition: Very good Reason for selling: Restless, want to try something else Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, Direct Deposit Extra Info: I got this amp to try out with my Dynaudio focus 110's. It's one of the rarer all-black units, which in my opinion looks smarter than the silver model. The unit is well built and reassuringly heavy. In addition to plenty of input options, the Destiny has the handy feature of having A + B speaker outputs - a god-send when you're A/B testing speakers! The headphone jack also comes in handy - overall this is a very flexible amplifier. In terms of sound, it is extremely musical. It's strong point is tonality. It's not as clean clear as some amps I've heard, but on the other hand it's not sterile as a result. Instruments have more character than I've heard elsewhere; guitar and piano in particular are beautifully rendered. Bass is deep and hits hard, I was surprised to hear it had a better bottom end than my Musical Fidelity A3CR power amp. But then the Creek is rated at 100W/8R, so it's certainly no tiddler! The midrange is nice and warm; reviews describe this amp as having a tube-like sound. Treble is brilliant, very crisp and detailed (where some of my other amps have been overly sweet, or in other cases a bit thin and dry). The amp will come in it's original box with the remote. Review: A very positive write-up by Stereophile: http://www.stereophi...edamps/107creek Pics:
