Its deep, authoritative bass and articulate midrange make for an energizing listen, and there’s a real synergy between the turntable, tonearm and cartridge. Also, the Emotion’s elegant appearance adds some additional spice compared to many of the frumpy wood rectangles that also compete in this price range. The Emotion as supplied with the Satisfy tonearm and Aurum Classics Wood cartridge is an analog package that’s very likely to charm. PS Audio GCPH Phono Stage - with remote control. SOLD The GCPH is a high-end standalone phono preamplifier designed for the highest quality phono reproduction possible. It is based on PS Audio’s unique Gain Cell Technology and over 30 years of designing state-of-the-art phono stages. PS Audio built its rst phono stage in 1973 and has been responsible for some of the most loved vinyl amplification electronics the Audio world has ever known. Curve - Whatever method is employed, it is absolutely critical the curve be as exact as possible. Deviations of more than a tenth of a dB are unacceptable. The GCPH is at to the RIAA standard by less than 0.1dB. A unique feature of the GCPH is the multiple gain setting adjustment methods. The coarse gain settings are available on the rear of the unit, the ne gain setting available via a volume control like knob on the front panel. The front panel gain adjustment also allows the GCPH to be used as a standalone phono preamplifier feeding the purest phono signal possible directly into your power amplifier. 5 Star Review https://www.whathifi.com/ps-audio/gcph/review http://thevinylanachronist.blogspot.com.au/2010/02/ps-audio-gcph-phono-preamplifier.html https://www.stereophile.com/phonopreamps/106gcph/index.html Product manual: http://www.psaudio.com/support/manuals/ Pictures:

  3. Lighting up your turntable! How do you do yours? I love Clear Audio Turntables, especially the clear platter versions. I have the Clear Audio Emotion SE and recently saw a picture of a McIntosh MT5 turntable, glowing gama ray green and I loved it. So I decided to try something similar on mine. A trip to Bunnings got me a LED strip light and i fixed it in a rudimentary fashion on the back of the red base ( a combination of velcro and bluetack ) . The LED’s have their own power (plug) and two on/off switches, one that sits on the light strip. Although very basic (you can buy much more sophisticated kit now), it illuminates well and adds a certain ambience, especially with red vinyl. Any more pictures/ideas would be great to share. Cheers!
