Hi This is actually a reply to another SN member's review of his Luxman 509X Int Amp. After replying, I thought it would be nice to share it with other SN members. Just my thoughts on the three Luxman amps I have owned over the last few years. I have been lucky enough in the last few years to have own the 550AX Class A as my first Luxman Int Amp, then due to a house move, needed more power, I got the 590AXII Class A, now living most of my time in Thailand, I am enjoying the 509X Class AB. I have also listened to the 507uX Class AB extensively. My

Further information: On offer today is an amp from the artist Earl Weston from Weston Acoustics. His artisanal amplifiers need no introduction, however if one needs to dive in deeper there are many rave reviews at ones finger tips. The Topaz is a true ultralinear class A amplifier. It has a sweet musical sound which can be enjoyed for hours with no listerner fatigue at all. This Topaz now runs KT 77 tubes which cost north of 300.00 dollars, the rectifier tube was also upgraded. The tubes have ample life and have been used sparingly in a second system. The KT 77 m

I sold this amp back in March this year. I took it back to repair something, and ended up buying it back. The amp is fully functional post repair, and I also use the oppurtunity to add some re-inforcement to the chassis, as well as upgrade the RCAs and binding posts. About the amp: 12W class A - single ended 10k input impedence (make sure your preamp can drive it) Power JFETs on the output About the build: 5U chassis Dual mono power supply (2x 300VA transformers, and 68000uF capacitance per channel, in CLC configuration) Soft

Further information: Purchased earlier this year from Addicted to Audio. After 2 weeks of ownership word reached of a discounted Burson Conductor V2+. I kept this only as a backup. Has not been used for more than a few hours. Selling to fund other equipment purchases on SNA. Even with the standard op-amps I was amazed how close this sounds to my Conductor. It actually has a slightly warmer sound that I preferred with my T90's (I stick to tubes with these). It's 2 watts of Class A power are plenty for most dynamic and Planar headphones and powered everything in my collection we

Owned since new and very rarely used as I'm not exactly a regular headphone listener. The amp sounds great and pairs well with the HD600 & HD650s I've used with it. Easily drives 2 sets of headphones simultaneously to do comparisons. Prefer a local sale but will post at an agreed price. No original box, so if post is required I will have to make something up. Please PM for further info or interest. Specs: low-distortion, pure Class A headphone amplifier THD: 0.008% (10-20,000Hz) frequency response: 15Hz to 75,000Hz (-3dB) signal-to-noise ratio

Further information: Purchased new by me in 2006 from Simply HiFi in Subiaco. Items come with original documentation and boxes. Class A amplifier 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms. 5 analog inputs and 2 digital inputs to the Burr Brown DAC. Lovely sounding amp which is built like a tank, weighs approximately 16kg. In excellent working order except volume control on unit is temperamental, however volume adjustments via remote control function properly. CD player with tube output via RCA or digital output to your favourite DAC. Functi
