  9. Purchased 19.10.2011 from the guys at Clef Hi-Fi Melbourne, took delivery in December that year. I think original price was around the $1500 mark. I'd be happy with $750 for this. I have the box/manuals for this ready to go. I also have a pair of Chord speaker cables currently hooking this up to my Krix Neuphonix speakers. Happy to discuss sale of cables. As stated on the Cambridge website: "The amp puts out an impressive 100W RMS into 8 Ohms and with two pairs of output transistors per channel has enough peak current capability to get the best from even ‘difficult’ speakers." This certainly had no trouble driving my Krix Neuphonix, producing crystal clear audio enjoyment. Info and specs on this amp can be found here: http://www.cambridgeaudio.com/products/azur-740a-amplifier

  16. Item: Chord Signature Speaker Cable 2.5mtr Location: Williamstown, VIC Price: $650 + postage Item Condition: Very good Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: These were my first serious high-end speaker cables. I'd been stuffing around with DIY cables, and cheap cables, so when I put the money down for these they were the most expensive speaker cables that I'd ever bought. But boy oh boy did the deliver. These cables will make your music come alive, improve the sound stage depth and width of your playback, and delivers a vice like grip on full and extended bass. Fantastic upgrade for someone who wants to step into the high-end without breaking the bank. I liked these so much that I picked up another pair - see my other listing - which I am also selling. This pair come with the original round bag. New these great cables are $1900, so grab yourself a bargain... https://www.vinylrevival.com.au/products/chord-signature-speaker-cable?utm_source=google&utm_medium=smart_campaign&utm_campaign=gs-2018-11-03&ref=SFDR_238078668&variant=13759816899&ptcid=27736_389_379368720&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIraHOhIqQ3wIVhCQrCh3ihQwpEAYYASABEgIPi_D_BwE PLEASE NOTE - These are a stiff cable so need a little more space than flexible cables, but unless you have your speakers up against the wall, shouldn't be a problem. 17. Item: Chord Signature Speaker Cable 2mtr Location: Williamstown, VIC Price: $450 $400 + postage Item Condition: Good Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I bought these as a second set - I liked my first set so much that I bought these. The Chord Signature speaker cables were my first serious high-end speaker cables. I'd been stuffing around with DIY cables, and cheap cables, so when I put the money down for these they were the most expensive speaker cables that I'd ever bought. But boy oh boy did they deliver. These cables will make your music come alive, improve the sound stage depth and width of your playback, and delivers a vice like grip on full and extended bass. Fantastic upgrade for someone who wants to step into the high-end without breaking the bank. This pair are black, and are slightly different to my first pair that are a later version with the red and black outer sheath. When I purchased them I thought I got ripped off, but I did quite a bit of research and these are the way the Signature speaker cables came out originally. Spades at one end, banana plugs at the other. Spades show signs of wear, but they are still solid and reliable. I did a compare with my other set, and I could hear absolutely no difference. So for these are a real bargain as the current version costs $1900: https://www.vinylrevival.com.au/products/chord-signature-speaker-cable?utm_source=google&utm_medium=smart_campaign&utm_campaign=gs-2018-11-03&ref=SFDR_238078668&variant=13759816899&ptcid=27736_389_379368720&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIraHOhIqQ3wIVhCQrCh3ihQwpEAYYASABEgIPi_D_BwE PLEASE NOTE - These are a stiff cable so need a little more space than flexible cables, but unless you have your speakers up against the wall, shouldn't be a problem. 18. I recently upgraded my speakers and upgrading from my Hugo TT will be the next step. On one hand the choice seems easy, Chord make great products and I’ve been happy with everything they’ve made that I’ve heard so a DAVE with a hope to maybe add a Blu Mk 2 later on (for upsampling rather that CD duties) seems like a safe option. However, for several years the Berkeley Alpha Reference has been sitting in the back of my mind. I’ve never heard one, I don’t think there’s a dealer in Melbourne, and I’m pretty sure I’ll never be able to a/b test an Alpha with a DAVE, but the reviews of the latest version seem stellar with comparisons routinely to DCS stacks rather than Chord products. From my perspective, the 24/192 limit and no DSD in the Alpha Reference doesn’t make any difference to me – all of my downloads (HDTracks and Presto Classical) are PCM in AIFF or FLAC and then I use Tidal for steaming, thus, I would say less than 1% of my music is DSD and then Roon can fix that. So the question is, am I crazy for considering the Berkeley when I know a DAVE will without doubt give me 99% of what I’m looking? Any thoughts, opinions or experiences would be much appreciated!
  19. Item: Chord Electronics QBD 76 USB Bluetooth DAC Location: Bayside, Melbourne, Victoria Price: $4,150 ono Items Condition: Great condition, no scratches or marks, fully functioning and sounding sublime. This is a non smoking, pet free house Reason for Sale: Upgrade....its a passion for me!! Im looking for a DAVE if there is a part exchange anywhere??!! Payment Information: Cash on Pick up, Paypal, Direct Transfer Extra information: I’ve had this remarkable DAC for a few years now and it’s never disappointed me. It replaced a Wavelength USB DAC, which was also very capable, but the clarity and the extended detail that was achieved with this Chord DAC was astounding. Although it’s always about the sound, you should also remember that this is a piece of artwork. It’s beautifully crafted, shimmers Blue hues from the corner of the room and at a couple of KGs it has presence.....this is not just another generic black box!! There’s masses of connectivity, optical, USB, co-axial, and Bluetooth. I stream to it, run a transport into it and USB my Digital Media. The manual is http:// https://www.manualslib.com/manual/899220/Chord-Qbd-76.html Question welcome, and I’m happy to audition it to any serious party!
  20. Item: Chord Epic Super Twin (bi-wire) speaker cables - 2M Location: Sydney Price: SOLD Item Condition: Very good (9/10) Reason for selling: A different direction Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, EFT, Paypal (+ fee) Extra Info: For sale is a pair of bi-wire (factory terminated) Chord Epic speaker cables, the Chord Epic Super Twin. Otherwise known in these parts as "the hosepipes". These Chord Company cables were made as either standard single wire (Epic) or bi-wire (Epic Super Twin). For example (new): https://www.lifestylestore.com.au/chord-epic-twin-3m-pair-factory-terminated.html Reviewers have said: (Techradar) "This is a modestly thick cable (10mm in diameter) but it is very tractable and certainly less bulky than Chord's other new cable, Epic Super Twin. This cable mirrors the construction of Epic Twin but doubles up the conductors, making it ideal for bi-wiring or 'shotgunning', where two sets of cable are connected to one set of 4mm plugs. Interestingly, the two cables have much the same aural fingerprint, which is best summed up as being musical without being noticeably 'hi-fi'. There is no sheen or edge to this cable, rather it has a relaxed quality, with a full and solid bass, but not so full it sounds anything less than well controlled. By the same token, it is a detailed-sounding cable, but not in the hyper-analytical sense in which the term is often used for some true high-end cables. It's not the sort of cable to startle you in any particular way; it's just always a pleasure to listen to. But you will find it takes a long time to fully burn in - not unknown with previous Chord cables." (https://www.techradar.com/au/reviews/audio-visual/hi-fi-and-audio/hi-fi-accessories/chord-co-epic-twin-93958/review) (Hifi Choice) "To sum up these cables in one word, they are 'musical'. In short, they are quite simply a superb sounding set of speaker cables." (https://www.chord.co.uk/product-review-epic-twin-speaker-cable-hi-fi-choice-sept-2014/) Pictures:
  21. Item: Chord Mojo + Chord Mojo Cable Pack Location: Melbourne (Greensborough) Price: $675 firm including postage within Aus. Item Condition: Excellent, no marks, still in original box Reason for selling: rarely used, moving to hifi setup with a CXN. Payment Method: cash or bank transfer, PayPal ok Extra Info: I purchased this on a trip to Japan last year (still have the receipt) to work with my Sonorous Final III headphones, however I never really got the time to use it properly. It has mainly been used in-line with the laptop into the hifi amp. It has had about 30-40hrs run time and still works perfectly. The cable pack still has all the items in there with only the Y-Cable for the computer being used. The Mojo itself is a seriously capable unit and needs no introductions on its quality and sound and operates exactly as expected. Any questions feel free to PM me. Pictures:

THE REFERENCE XLR 40 BUILDS ON THE MULTI-AWARD WINNING AUDIO 40 RANGE OF PRODUCTS, NOW AVAILABLE IN XLR FORM. XLR 40 is designed primarily for low capacitance as this has been identified by QED as a major factor which leads to a high fidelity experience. Further steps have been taken to eliminate minute timing errors in the cable by the use of a special floating Zn/Mn ferrite jacket alongside use of QEDs unique 'Tri-Conductor' technology reducing signal to ground capacitance to vanishingly low levels. *****HI-FI CHOICE GROUP TEST WINNER, AUGUST 2014***** "Build quality and feel are very reassuring - you're immediately drawn to the smart looking 'XLR Neutrik Connectors." What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision June 2014 Sound Quality: Before the QED loom, the panellists have taken a mixed view of the various wires played to them. They’ve found positives and negatives, liked some and been lukewarm about others. But two out of the three listeners express a strong preference for this set of cables, applauding it for its clean, open, even sound that doesn’t try to do anything too clever. Instead it is very accomplished at almost every facet of the music, and makes things look rather easy. Pictures:
