  1. Extra Info: purchased this from SNA. Since the purchased I haves added a phasemation pp1000, miyajima Shilabe and a shelter mono to my cart collection. So it have been played very little. The 200 hrs play time is probably an overestimation . Played on Thales simplicity arm and Briefly on Ortofon 12 inch arm. All my records are cleaned with KL Audio RCM. The Kuzma Car cartridges are presumed to be make by My Sonic Labs in Japan. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  2. Item: High end MC Cartridge: Ortofon or Brinkmann/EMT or equivalent Price Range: 2Kish Item Condition: Low hours in top condition Extra Info For a Brinkmann LaGrange Turntable/arm
  3. Item: Garrott P77 Cartridge with headshell Location: Perth, free postage Price: 220 Item Condition: looks ok Reason for selling: amps inbuilt phono not really compatible Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, Direct Deposit Extra Info: I picked this up with a turntable with the intent to install it on my main rig. Unfortunately the amps inbuilt phono stage doesn't play nice with it's low output and i don't have any means to adjust. I don't know exactly how old it is. I have tried it on another system and it sounds great. I will throw in a headshell from my old turntable to ensure that is safely shipped in the box for the new cartridge I bought. 4. Item: Technics EPC-100c MM cartridge Location: Terang Vic Price: $1300 firm, including postage Australia wide. Item Condition: Excellent, the only flaw is a small crack in the clear stylus guard, shown in the photo. Reason for selling: Does not fit my linear tonearm. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I sent this cartridge to VDH late last year for re-tipping. It has a brand new VDH type 1 nude diamond in a new Boron cantilever. Van den Hul himself uses an EPC-100 as one of his reference cartridges they are that good. I discovered this while talking to Nick from Carlton AV who is the Aussie VDH cartridge dealer. It is unused as I had moved to a linear tonearm before the cartridge arrive back. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  5. I have a Rega Planar 25 turntable that I bought second hard years ago from someone who is a bit of an audiophile. It doesn't get a lot of use, but eventually the day will come that I need a new stylus. I suspect that day is fairly close. I have absolutely no idea about this stuff, and what it's got is hardly plug-and-play. There's not even any sort of make/model code on it as far as I can see. Looks like it would have to be very manually removed and reinstalled, and has some very small fiddly looking copper(?) connectors. Don't know how many pics I can attach. Going to try all six I took earlier today to show it from as many angles as I can. I'm in Wellington New Zealand. Where would I go for a new stylus? How would I describe what one (or type of one) I need? What sort of price am I looking at? Then there's the question of actually trying to remove the current one and install the new one. Looks like I'd have to remove the arm as there's not enough room to work with to unscrew whats there and screw in a new one. I can't see any other way to do it. So, as I said and as you can tell, I've got absolutely no idea about this stuff. Seems to me that I don't have a terribly easy turntable when it comes to this. Thanks in advance for whatever useful info anyone can provide. Glenn
  6. I found a TT on the side of the road and was given another. I replaced the belt in one and stylus in the other. But now I need a cartridge for one, wanted to stay with MM and only wanted to spend no more than $300 to $500. Tivoli had Garrotts and the K series had been getting some good reports. A friend has a K3 and liked it. In the end I got a K2. The difference between 1, 2 and 3 is the stylus. I paid less than $300 for the K2 at the time. I had read where Garrotts play the music and hide the noise. This is true. Not only that the cart. appears to make all music sound good. The TT it is currently in is a new AT direct drive. With removable head shells and half a dozen new and refurbished old carts. cartridge rolling is fun, fun fun. Of all the carts the K2 is one I just keep going back to. My main rig is a Rega planar3, RB300 arm and Ortofon Rondo Blue MC. But the AT and K2 are fun and good sounding.
  7. 9. Item: Kiseki NS Blue Moving Coil Cartridge Location:Melbourne Price: $1500 (RRP $3000) Item Condition: Used, Perfect condition, about 30 albums Reason for selling: upgraded Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, direct deposit Extra Info: I've had this on my secondary deck for about six months, that's why its low on hours. Not even properly run-in I'm selling it because I got the opportunity to get a factory rebuilt Ortofon Jubilee. Forced upgrades, what can you do? Its a thing of beauty and one of the fastest sounding carts I've came across, at any price. My favorite bit of Kiseki trivia- the diamond is polished using a human hair. SPECIFICATIONS Body: Aluminum alloy, 25mm long Cantilever: Solid Boron Rod: 0.28 mm diameter Stylus: 0,12 x 0,12 Nude line-contact diamond, mirror polished Stylus tip radius: 5 x 120 µm Vertical Tracking Angle (VTA): 20 degrees Coilbody: pure iron Weight: 8 grams Output voltage: 0.44 mV at 5 cm/s Internal impedance: 40 ohms Frequency response: 20 – 25.000 Hz ± 1 dB Channel balance: 0.4 dB Channel Separation: 35 dB at 1 kHz Tracking ability at 315 Hz at a tracking force of 2.4 grams: 80 µm Dynamic Compliance: 16 µm/mN Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  10. Item: Ortofon OM Cartridge (Any OM cartridge, including OMB and Super OM) Price Range: Under $50 Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: Need an OM cartridge to fit a new Ortofon Stylus 20 on it, and I currently don't have an OM cartridge. Am willing to buy any OM cartridge, regardless of what stylus is on the cartridge.
  11. Item: AUDIO NOTE-Kondo io phono cartridge Location: Inner Melbourne Price: $3800 Item Condition: excellent (recently retipped) Reason for selling: too many cartridges Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Direct bank deposit only Extra Info: An early example of Audio Note-Kondo io mc phono cartridge. I purchased this from Japan and had the cartridge checked and retipped by ANA Mighty sound in France. Retipped with Van del haul stylus. Damper have been checked and suspension rebuilt. So this is literally a new cartridge. Played for about 10 hours for testing since rebuilt. They are quite rare and hardly come up for sale. The cost of the rebuilt alone is in excess of $2000. I have quite a few cartridges so just have to let go some to better home. Output 0.1 mv with 1 ohm impedance so will work with a minimum of x30 step up ratio and high gain phono stage. ANA mighty sound is highly reputable cartridge repairer and builder in France. Their Sculpture A3 cartridges were used by Thomas Schick, Frank Schroeder in Sibatone (western electric), Vitus and Thrax demo rooms among others in the recent 2019 Munich high end show. Additional info for those interested: http://anamightysound.com/ François from Ana mighty have repaired and rebuilt Koetsu and SPU for me previously. They are always careful to ensure the original sound signature of the cartridge design are retained, especially for the classics like koetsu and AN/Kondo. Photos:
  12. Item: Ortofon 2M Black Location: Brookvale Price: 500 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Not compatible with my gear Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Bank Transfer Extra Info: Bought this in Dec last year, it’s almost new , my TT technician set it up as I did want to get it right and didn’t want to get damage because I paid a lot for it, unfortunately the RBA250 of my Thorens doesn’t have VTA alignment so couldn’t get it to work and ended up buying something else. This model is or used to be the Top MM from the Ortofon 2M series and there’s plenty of reviews on the net. Bought it from a local seller and have the original invoice, it has two years of warranty. The price include postage anywhere in Australia Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  13. Hi,I recently discovered that the stylus on my Rega Exact cartridge is bent. So rather than replace the cartridge with another Rega Exact (even though I receive a 20% discount off the price of a new cartridge), I have decided to upgrade my cartridge and would appreciate any suggestions. There are not a large number of hi-fi stores in my area, so demos are out of the question.I am running a Rega RP6 with an RB303 tonearm (stock standard with the RP6), Rega Elicit R amp and Monitor Audio Silver speakers. With the Elicit R, I am limited to MM cartridges; however, I believe that I can run a high output MC cartridge through the MM input. My music tastes are varied, with vinyls ranging from Otis Redding, to Simon and Garfunkel, Cold Chisel, Fireigber, Van Morrison, Eagles, Bee Gees, Steve Nicks, Fleetwood Mac etc.Cartridges I have been considering are:- Ortofon 2M Black (although some people state these are overrated)- Nagaoka MP-500 (apparently selling for more than they are worth)- Goldring 2500- Dynavector 20X2H (high level output MC, which I believe will work on the MM input of the amp)- Grado Refefence Platinum 2I am not tied to any of the above cartridges, so any feedback or recommendations are most welcome. If you could also include your reasoning for certain recommendations that would be appreciated. Thanks,Gareth
  14. Item: ORTOFON Cadenza Blue Cartridge Location: Richmond, Melbourne Price: sold (New, delivered a week ago) RRP $2499. Not sure what pricing rules dominate with unused but opened cartridges . I have the receipt from local Melbourne retailer Item Condition: New (Note: outer box opened, but stylus not removed from inner container) Reason for selling: The Tonearm on my current Acoustic solid turntable was in the shop to fix one wire, so the Cadenza was not fitted. Whilst waiting for my tonearm, in a stereonet fit of madness I went and bought the Michell Orbe SE with tonearm and Goldnote Donatello, and love the configured combo so much I have decided to sell the acoustic solid and the Cadenza cartridge intended for it. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, Post Extra Info: The Cadenza Blue model is using a Nude FG 70 stylus with a very thin ruby cantilever. The improved winding process on the armature ensures better channel balance. The soundstage of Cadenza Blue is wide open and grandiose straight out of the box. Micro dynamic and ambience will be evident when listening to complex compositions. It reaches a very high degree of definition in the perspective, which is very present. It is true to the music with a tremendous clarity. Note: first 2 images are of the actual item, whilst the cartridge shot is a stock image Pictures:
  15. Item: Ortofon Bronze Location: Brookvale Price: 180 Item Condition: Used Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Selling an Ortofon Bronze cartridge, I have it for a while but moved to a Black. Ortofon documentation says it should last 2000 hours, I'm pretty sure there's plenty of life on it as I don't run a record shop :). It sings very nice, have all the original packaging so can post anywhere and don't think will add much to the price as it's very light. My phone can't take good pics so don't think it will be good to post pics of it but did a video of it playing Boz Scaggs Lowdown so you can hear it, happy to take some pics if someone wants it. video https://vimeo.com/303243134 Pictures:
  16. I have recently acquired a Denon DL110 high output MC cartridge (after decades with Shure V15-IIIs and a -VMxR in SME3009s). I have two tone arms I can mount it in, a Rega RB 250 and an Ortofon AS212-II. It's currently in the Rega and sounds very nice indeed. Which of the two arms would be the better choice for the DL110? Advice appreciated.

    JVC Z1s cartridge

Hey all, Hoping you guru's can advise me here. I have a JVC QL-F4 which I love dearly, it currently runs a AT95e cartridge. Its nice enough but its due for a new stylus. I also have a number of older carts including the Z1s which is probably the original for this deck. (all these carts came with the table when I purchased) By all reports the Z1s is a nice cart so I would like to get a stylus and test it out. I'm looking at the Jico SAS item. So my questions; 1) Am I crazy and should I stick with at AT unit instead? 2) Is this the right stylus - http://www.jico-stylus.com/product_info.php?products_id=1293 Confusingly its listed under "Victor Nivico", who presumably manufactured it? 3) I also have a Shure M75ED II, a Shure M75-6S and a Jelco MC-14. Are any of these half decent? The rest of my setup consists of a Cyrus 2 (+PSX which should arrive this week thanks to a forum member!) and a pair of Richter Paladin's. Many thanks, Ash

  20. Item: Ikeda 9tt Cartridge Location: Melb Price: $1800 Shipped in OZ Item Condition: Used approx 500-800hrs Reason for selling: Upgrading Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: The hrs used on the cart is a estimate for I do not keep a counter. I have 2 turntables and 4 carts in rotation plus a cd player. The Ikeda is 3.5 years old. Used only on a Thales Simplity Tonearm. All records cleaned with KLaudio Ultrasonic RCM (RCM is a great way to maximise life of a cart.) The specs on the Ikeda is a bit misleading. It states .15mv but it seems to have more output than .2mv carts I have. I am currently using it on either 20x or 26x on my Allnic step and transformer. In fact i had a Tron Phonostage that only had 10x step us and it was fine as well. But i would suggest a step up with at least 20x gain. Pictures:

Along with that I am giving away an unused Ortofon Stylus brush (see pictures). I can post them safely in the Ortofon 2M box or local pickup is fine by me as well.
