  1. Further information: Selling my Cambridge CXUHD as this is in my second system and is not getting much use at present. The remote control has only been used a few times as I have used a Logitech Harmony remote in its place. I am happy to post out the player to anywhere in Australia at the buyer's expense (however you must include insurance), as I have the original box, packaging and accessories. Please note, I couldn't capture the rear view of the CXUHD in a photo, so I have included a stock photo to accurately show it. 10. Item: Cambridge Azur 851e Pre-Amplifier Location: LWA HQ 64 Burns Bay Road, Lane Cove, NSW Price: $990 Item Condition: Excellent 2nd hand in as new condition Payment Method: Cash, Credit Cards, PayPal, Bank Transfer Extra Info: This just traded, current model Azur 851e Pre-Amp is in perfect condition with it's original carton retails new for $2450. From Cambridge Audio: The pre-amp stage is all about minimal colouration. Take the source signal and pass it onto the power amp stage with as little interference as possible. That’s exactly what the 851E does, and coupled with its solid-state volume control, it retains audio signal purity and precision even at the lowest listening levels. The 851E excels in keeping the signal pure. Every component has been designed not to interfere with the audio signal input and output, meaning that the harmonic distortion and noise levels are so low they’re almost impossible to measure and certainly can’t be heard. A solid state volume control and toroidal transformer also contribute to the incredible sonic purity of the 851E. The toroidal transformer delivers a high quality power output to the amplification circuits with no clipping of the waveform signal, to provide a consistent signal with no transformer noise, buzz or hum. These expensive components coupled to countless hours of tuning mean the 851E delivers an incredibly pure signal to your amplifier. 11. Item: Cambridge Audio 540P "Special" MM Phono Stage Location: Brookvale Price: 150 (including postage anywhere in Australia) Item Condition: Excellent like new Reason for selling: Funding for fixing a vintage amp that just bougth Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Bought this amp on last November from here. I'm including the information provided on the previous post as it's pretty much on the same condition: This is the special upgraded version of the popular 540P which takes it far beyond entry level and competes with more expensive units. The power supply capacitors have been professionally upgraded to Panasonic FC and coupling capacitors to Elna Silmic. Op amps are upgraded too. This is based on the "Hypnotoad" recipe with the removal and upgrade of cheap Chinese parts to audiophile standards. The result is a much more open, articulate and dynamic sound. This is a great phono stage for the money. Here is a link to the forum which the modded Cambridge Audio phono stage was tried and shows how much of an improvement it made. http://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/modded-640p-giant-killer-phono-stage.346388/ I'm selling it for the same price I paid, the price include postage anywhere in Australia Thanks Pictures:

  18. Item: Cambridge Azur 740C upsampling CD player with remote Item condition: excellent Price: $480 + shipping cost Location: Brisbane Reason for selling: Not using it Payment method: Pick Up Cash, COD, Bank deposit Extra info: Cambridge Azur 740C upsampling CD player - RRP $1,299.95 - Model: 740C - Colour: Black The 740C is the latest in Cambridge Audio`s Azur series of CD players. Using the upsampling technology present in the top-of-the-range 840C barnstormer, now married to dual Wolfson WM8740 24-bit DACs with a newly developed Bessel implementation of our proprietary virtual earth balanced filtering, the 740C is set to rejuvenate the mid price sector. The 740C incorporates the same 32-bit DSP as the 840C and upsamples to full 24-bit 384 kHz. Key to the abilities of the 740C is ATF (Adaptive Time Filtering) an upsampling process developed in conjunction with Anagram Technologies of Switzerland. This system intelligently interpolates 16-bit/44.1 kHz CD (or other) audio data to 24-bit/384 kHz through the use of a 32-bit Analog Devices Black Fin DSP (Digital Signal Processor) for the very best sound quality. The ATF system applies sophisticated polynomial curve fitting interpolation and incorporates a time domain model which allows data buffering and re-clocking. This almost completely eradicates digital jitter. Features: Adaptive Time Filtering (ATF) asynchronous upsampling technology converting 16-bit 44.1 kHz CD data to 24-bit 384 kHz Two Wolfson WM8740 DACs in dual differential configuration separate DACs for left and right channels New virtual earth balanced Bessel anti-aliasing filters with minimum phase and constant group delay IR emitter and Control Bus In/Out for easy custom installation Navigator style Azur remote which also controls:o iPod track skip and volume functionso Azur amplifiers o Cambridge Audio`s Incognito keypads o Discrete commands for custom install use Solid aluminium front panel plus an ultra rigid, acoustically dampened chassis for extremely low distortion
  19. Further information: Selling my Cambridge Audio CXA 60 as I have moved to pre and power combo. Bought Feb 2020. Really great amp and would love to keep it but spent more than expected on recent purchase. Preference to local pickup in Perth. Can post as have the original packaging. Contribution to SNA upon successful sale. What HiFi magazine in awarding the CXA60 "Product of the Year" in its category 2 years in a row ratified how much they thought of this amplifier.Their words from their review........"Delivering in every aspect, the CXA60 remains the most exciting and competitively featured package out there. It looks smart, has a wide spread of connections and delivers a solid competitive sound that manages to be exciting and easy to listen to in equal measure." 20. Both the CXA60 and CXN are in excellent condition and come with their original packaging. Great quality system with latest firmware updates on the CXNv1 installed. CXA60 has had a recent service following a CAP5 fault. The amp was recently serviced, cleaned and tested by a very reputable local technician ALLTechs at Bexley. The CXA60 is a 60w per channel integrated with 4 analog inputs, and 3 digital inputs, 1 being coaxial and the other 2 optical with Toslink connectors. There is also a connector for an optional Apt-X Bluetooth adapter for wireless music transmission from a smartphone, along with a sub output, and one set of L & R pre-outs to allow for output to a power amplifier. Comes with the remote and bluetooth dongle The CXN is a hugely enjoyable sonic performance. It sounds fantastic. There’s an enthusiastic drive to the performance, combining subtlety, snappy timing and rich detail to deliver a sound that’s just wonderfully entertaining. It’s a punchy sound that has a really good grasp of rhythm and low-end impact. We’ve seldom heard a Cambridge product sound so muscular. Bass-lines are meaty, textured and bound along happily to the lively sense of rhythm. The APP functionality from StreamMagic that supports the system. Enjoyed them so much I upgraded to the latest...CXA81 and CXNv2...
  21. I bought this 340R earlier this year from this site, but have since replaced it, as I needed more HDMI. Great sounding unit, but will inform of some caveats: Volume knob is a bit flacky - so use the remove instead Being an older unit, HDMI devices (especially new ones) may, or may not work well Photos:
  22. Further information: My faithful servant for the last few years. Bought to replace a Yamaha RX-V2600, and was so impressed I replaced most of my gear with Cambridge Audio gear over time. Very clean unit from a kid-free, pet-free home, in great condition for its age. Includes original remote (which has a broken battery cover - sticky tape holds it closed - and a dent in the side - see pics). Doesn't affect remote operation in any way. includes printed manual. Received great reviews at the time - with a "conservatively" rated 100W into 8 ohms x7 or 120W into 2 channels. Big toroidal power transformer to provide effortless power, and low 0.006% THD. https://www.techradar.com/au/reviews/audio-visual/hi-fi-and-audio/receivers/cambridge-audio-azur-640r-276867/review https://www.soundandvision.com/content/cambridge-audio-azur-640r-av-receiver I have only used as an audio amp for SACD, not for movies, so no idea how it goes with HDMI, but reviews indicate the functionality is basic. Selling due to upgrade. Thanks! (Sorry: pics are upside down - as this is my first ad with pics I don't know how to fix!) 24. Awesome little DAC from Cambridge Audio with two Wolfson WM8740 DAC chips in dual differential mode. 3 selectable inputs - 2 optical/coax and 1 USB. Three different filter options to adjust output to your taste (I have always preferred linear). Outputs are both RCA and XLR. I bought this new and used it as my main DAC for a good 2 years, and once that was upgraded it did desktop duties until about a year ago feeding some active monitors via XLR. Has since been retired and stored, but as I am doing a major clean-up currently it is time to let this go. In excellent condition, only cosmetic issue is a slight fading in the ON/OFF label above the main power switch (see photos). The switching PSU is working flawlessly, but got caught between the wall and the desk when the desk was moved a couple of years ago and the plastic housing cracked and split along one side. I did put electrical tape around the PSU to make sure it does not deteriorate further or split open (please look at the photos). Comes with all original packaging and accessories (not pictured) - box, polystyrene inserts, Cambridge Audio branded cloth bag for the DAC, instruction manual, rubber pedestal to use the DAC vertically and Cambridge Audio USB cable. Plugged in and run in my main system today to make sure all working as intended. Price includes postage within AU. Discount for local pick-up. Cheers, Ralf
  25. Further information: Cambridge AUDIO CP2 MM/MC Phono Preamp for your consideration. Great inexpensive little phono pre. Decent soundstage, precise. Great reviews online. Used with a Rega Planar 3 with great results; selling because of upgrade. Maybe lacks a little power, compensates with great sound. Second owner, bought from a StereoNet member last year. Great condition, no scratches, functionally excellent of course. Little info from the web: - built-in balance control for fine correction of left- and right-channel cartridge output - acoustically damped full-metal chassis with thick, brushed aluminum front panel - discrete transistor input stages instead of I.C.s for greater dynamics and lower noise - single-ended 'Class A' gain stage with audiophile-grade passive RIAA equalization - defeatable subsonic filter to eliminate very low frequency 'rumble' - external power supply for reduced noise and interference - gain: 39dB(MM), 55dB(MC) - signal-to-noise ratio: greater then 86dB(MM), greater than 72dB(MC) - THD: less than 0.009%(MM), less than 0.002%(MC) (20-20,000 Hz) - RIAA response accuracy: ±0.3dB (20-50,000 Hz) with subsonic filter off - crosstalk at 20 kHz: greater than 83dB(MM), greater than 69dB(MC) A great buy for newcomers to the phono world. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
