B&W have released their new PX headphones. http://www.bowers-wilkins.net/Headphones/Wireless-Headphones/Wireless-Headphones/px-headphones.html The reviews say they have really good sound and reasonably good noise cancellation, second only to the Bose QC35. I was wondering if anyone has tried these yet, and have more information. I know most reviews are not exactly reliable. Thanks, AP

Hi all, Bit of a long shot question here, does anyone know where I can get replacement ear pads for the B&W PXs that are larger? They are a touch too small and sit on my ear lobes, unless I tuck it up into the cup itself (which only lasts until I turn my head). I really enjoy the headphones as they work wonders in the office. With the ANC enabled as I can work without distraction. Hence, my interest in getting better ear pads that would fit my ears. My previous B&W P7 Wireless headphones fit far better than this (even though they were also a little smaller than I'd have liked). If anyone has any leads, I'd be grateful if you could point me in the right direction.

Item: Like New B&W Bowers and Wilkins CM9 Tower Speakers in Rosenut Colour. Comes with original boxes, and brand new (never used) speaker grilles. Location: 420 St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC Price: $2,200 or better offer Item Condition: The speaker cabinet, speaker cones and tweeters appear brand new. Minor blemishes on the removable base piece. Magnetic speaker grilles are in brand new condition. The speakers are always well fed by my Anthem MCA50 power-amp, and kept in a smoke free environment. Reason for selling: It's taking up too much precious space in our tiny apartment. A pair of Paradigm Prestige bookshelves will be replacing them. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, COD Only Extra Info: Auditions welcome. The speakers are 33kg a piece so I'm hesitant to ship them. I prefer to be contacted via SMS at 0435 197 890. Thank you for viewing my ad. Cheers, JY Pictures:

O.P. Hope you are all well, I just acquired a pair of B&W DM303 bookshelf speakers for $80. The catch is one of the tweeters is blown, I pulled it apart and the voice coil has completely separated from the dome. When I saw them for sale I knew it was a good deal and quickly snapped them up, taking the gamble that it be a simple fix, but well it turned out to be not that simple. Even without the tweeter they sound absolutely fantastic, can only imagine how good they'll be with both tweeters. I'm powering them with a Rotel Integrated Amp (RA-930AX). After doing some research, I can buy parts and rebuild both tweeters for $90, meaning I'll be $170 in. The question is, would it be worth it to rebuild the tweeters, or should I just bail and part them out where I'll easily be able to recoup my money. What are your thoughts, on the speakers, are they worth it? Much appreciated, Garfield

Items: B&W 683 S1, HTM61 S1, 685 S1 & Lovan speaker stands Location: Perth, WA (Wanneroo area) Price: $1,200 firm Item Condition: Very good; all speakers work perfectly; I noticed that the silver tweeter cover on one of the 685's was poking out a little when taking photo's, I pressed it back flush just fine but this may need a touch up of glue down the line. Reason for selling: Moved house and no longer have dedicated theater room; funding a new 2 channel setup Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, due to no original boxes Extra Info: You'll notice that the 683's already have the base attached & I have the spikes as well. As for the original speaker port bungs (is that the term?..) and spikes for the Lovan stands I'll have to track these down, consider them not included unless I update this post saying otherwise. Hi All, **SOLD PENDING** Item: Bowers and Wilkins 683's in Wenge. Purchased 31/12/2009 Location: Melbourne (Balwyn/Surrrey Hills area) Price: $1350 negotiable. Will post if buyers covers cost. Item Condition: Excellent (immaculate with the exception of a tiny (~4mm) crease on the rear edge of one cabinet and another tiny (~4mm) mark on the front baffle edge - both are barely noticeable when looking closely. Reason for selling: Upgrading Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only (If paying by paypal, add 4%). Cash preferred if picking up, DD preferred if interstate and shipping required. Extra Info: I purchased these new on 31/12/2009 as my first set of 'proper' speakers. I grew up with a pair of B&W 801's in the house so my lifelong dream of owning a pair of B&W's was realised. These are truly brilliant speakers for the money and are very favourably reviewed. Wenge was a very popular and difficult to find colour and really look very nice with a broad selection of lounge room decor. I have cared for these extremely well, always moving them in their original boxes (twice only) and the covers were always in place to protect the drivers when in use. I have the original boxes, spikes (currently the rubber feet are fitted due to wood flooring), manuals etc. We have a child and pet free home so no damage of any sort is present; I really look after my gear and with the exception of the 2 marks I mention above, they are in absolutely immaculate condition. They have recently released a 'new' 600 series model 683, and it has a narrower cabinet creating a lower internal volume and significantly higher low frequency point giving leaner bass. I think the original model is the one to have for sure. Package deal: I will sell these as a package deal with my mint condition Denon PMA2000AE listed here for $2500 total Pictures: Sorry these are phone pics, my DSLR is currently being repaired.

Currently have a Meridian system with DSP 5000s (24/96) but the wife wants to simplify the look in the living room so no floorstanders Been looking/listening to Bookshelves and have come up with the following combo (best i have heard to date for the price) and would appreciate thoughts/suggestions Luxman 550AX integrated amp (class A) with B+W 805-3s Sources are various - currently have a Meridian 596 and a Cambridge CD transport - been streaming FLAC via Logitech Squeezebox but will also look to a new streamer and a DAC but that is another topic!!!! Love to hear thoughts on the speakers and if I will lose or gain on giving up the Meridians..

Item: B&W LM-1 speakers (pair). Comes with the original manual Location: Maroubra, NSW Price: $150 ONO Item Condition: They present really well overall. It's a sexy little speaker, what can I say? There are a few marks here and there on the body, and even fewer on the grilles. Some scratches near the speaker terminals. Drivers are in fantastic condition. They sound just like they should. Everything is complete, the little stands are in good shape. Reason for selling: Too much stuff. Well, at least for everyone else in the house! Sometimes, I get the feeling that my enthusiasm for hi-fi gear isn't exactly shared by others. Payment Method: Come pick it up and we'll go through a demo together. Will sell as a bundle, along with a pair of B&W DM602 S2's and a Harman Kardon AVR 500 RDS receiver, for $650 the lot. PM me if you're interested. Pictures:

Hi all, Semi new to this forum, come in here from time to time for advice and research. I thought I would put up my theatre room build progress and you can critique, assist, give me ideas and help me along the way. I have had to repost this thread as the last one has expired before I could update it with some long overdue progress from along time ago. The room isn't a completely square room, access to the room comes from an angled corner in one of the main hallways in my house. I believe it was built in mind with the house to have it as a larger lounged TV room or formal dining but not a theatre. This is where I have come in to rebuild and make this idea possible. THE STEP First we started off with a step, max standardized Australian step height 190mm. Built the platform with 4x2 wood and finished the top off with 21mm thick ply. Using left overs of my bamboo hard wood flooring throughout the house we incorporated it on the face of the step. This is yet to be completed. FALSE WALL due to the dimensions of the room and the way it was shaped we had to build a false wall over the existing window. This false wall has a few things kept in mind, blocking the window, sound dednening that wall which is closest to the neighbors, creating inserts for the speakers, amp and other equipment and hide all wiring behind this area and still have access to it with the outside window if i ever needed it. BULKHEAD/CEILING The bulkhead and ceiling was created for a few reasons, mainly it was for the look but other reasons were to hide aircon ducting and cabling through it. This was done with 4x2 wood. We created the design so the bulkhead has a lip which i can run the stripped lighting around to have the glow effect on the ceiling.

Item: Bowers and Wilkins CM10 S2 Location: Canberra Price: 3800 Item Condition: 9.5/10 Reason for selling: Long story short- Man surf the web, man saw something called 802D3 and can't control his urge. Man's wife found out and threaten with some begin with D and end with E and very similar to 'DIE'. Now man has to sell all his systems before his new toy arrive. Sad story but true! Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Beloved Bowers and Wilkins CM10 S2, strictly used for stereo listening only. Gorgeous sounds, to die for trebles and fantastic bass. Plenty of good reviews of these online, YouTube etc... They are really heavy so prefer local buyers or courier at buyer expense and arrangement.
