  1. Further information: A great sounding turntable (preferred this to the Technics SL-7 I had) and just a fantastic piece of design. Like you would expect from a direct drive unit gives great energy to the music. I got a lot of joy from this turntable and as a dad found the auto functions very helpful allowing me to use a turntable while handling dad activities either with repeat or auto stop. The motor starts up instantly and holds speed without issue. Stylus still good but with unknown hours, will throw in a fresh stylus though with the purchase. The cover is cracked and scuffed but would improve with some headlight polish. The fit and finish on this is exemplary and build quality high, motor is dead silent. A toroidal is used for example, check out the vintage knobs page for more details: http://www.thevintageknob.org/jvc-LE-5.html Photos:

  3. Further information: This is a MMF 9.1, bought in Singapore. The main difference between this model and the Australia model is the motor. It uses a 16V ac motor. I have been using it for the past 6 years' without any issue. Specifications Triple Plinth Drive method: belt drive Motor: 16 V ac motor Platter: 1" Acrylic Speeds: 33 and 45rpm Tonearm: Project 9cc (carbon fibre) Price includes a fully functionable turntable with dust cover and please note that no cartridge is included. 4. Hi all. Hoping some of you gurus may want to weigh in with some advice / direction please; I have an RP6 with Exact cart, upgraded with Groovetracer sub platter and Little Belter blue belt. I love it - rhythmic, engaging, detailed - so much so that my LP12 has been relegated to the soon to be sold shelf in my storeroom (controversial, I agree). So, now considering upgrade paths for the RP6 I'm considering one / some of the the following; Groovetracer Delrin plater (approx $700), RB 330 tonearm (also approx $700), NEO PSU $449 Fono MC preamp $449 Ania MC Cart $999 Alternatively, I could sell my existing RP6 for (say) $1000 and pick up a new P6 TT w no cart (that already includes the NEO + RB330) for 2K, or with a new exact fitted $2399. or with the Ania MC for $2799. So basically I could have a new P6 for a cost delta of a grand. I have my own ideas on what would give the best improvements / cost but would really appreciate recommendations from you all on what path would provide the greatest sonic benefits. FYI - the RP6 plays directly through my Plinus 9200 in-built phono stage. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Brian

  6. Further information: I purchased this turntable new less than a week ago. I intended to keep it but there is no space to set it up properly in the area I keep my system. I’m selling it because it is unfortunately too impractical for me to set it up elsewhere or change the furniture around. The turntable was used once on the first day I got it. Everything is in working order and in as new condition. I also have the box, manuals etc. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  7. Further information: This Sony PS-HX-500 turntable is hardly used. I used it to do digital recording of perhaps 20 LPs and played another 20 or so, since purchase new in December 2018. I have all of the supplied components, including the suplied RCA interconnects/phono earth lead. I am including a better quality pair of interconnects. I have all original packaging, manual and the DSD/WAV recording software is readily available from Sony Australia's website, or I can supply. Advertised at well under 50% of retail. Working perfectly. PayPal buyers will be asked to share the transaction fee. In line with SNA guidelines, I do not support Paypal friends/family payment. 8. Further information: I recently won this turntable in a competition at the Melbourne HiFi Show. I entered thinking the prize was some speakers, but was blown away to realise it was this turntable. Unfortunately, all my music is digital and I cannot afford to get into vinyl at the moment. I only just collected the prize and it remains unopened, packaged as collected from the fine people at Carlton Audio-Visual. Its listed price is $12,999. 11. This is my Pro-Ject 2Xperience SB . It has a Audio Technica VM750SH cart which has under 50hrs on it. The cart is lovely and one of my favourite mm carts ive ever used. The cart itself is worth 650 dollars so grab a bargain here. here is a review of the turntable https://www.whathifi.com/au/pro-ject/2xperience-sb/review To give some background I bought it off here last year and its been fantastic. But I had the opportunity to move up the ladder so I did. The cart was professionally installed at klapp av. I also have spare counterweights for lighter carts if that's where your needs tastes go, which I will throw in. Except for some minor wear on the dust cover its in really good condition. Due to the fact I don't have the box this is for pickup only in hawthorn east melbourne. any questions don't hesitate to drop me a line.
  12. Further information: Bought this cartridge when I purchased a MoFi UltraDeck turntable less than 2 years ago. The cart and cantilever are in excellent condition. The stylus will need re-tipping. It's had about 900hrs of use and starting to show. This cart goes for around $899RRP. $190 is very reasonable. Retipping will cost around $160 - $220 UltraTracker Highlights UltraTracker extracts immense amounts of detail, dynamics, tone, and texture from LPs. Literally made to live in records’ grooves, the configuration gives this cartridge innate advantages few others can claim at this price. MoFi cartridges are designed by looking at where a record starts: On a cutting lathe like the model used at Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab. UltraTracker features a V-Twin dual-magnet generator that mirrors the layout of the cutting head that originally makes a record’s grooves. Employing two low-mass, powerful magnets aligned in a V formation parallel with the record grooves, this cartridge features excellent tracking ability. V-Twin dual-magnet generator Nude Elliptical stylus Well-damped billet aluminum body 3.5mV output WELL-DAMPED BILLET ALUMINUM BODY The well-damped billet aluminum body controls resonances for tight, accurate bass reproduction. UltraTracker delivers finely tuned wide-bandwidth audio, with extension at both frequency extremes and no smearing of detail. NUDE-ELLIPTICAL DIAMOND STYLUS By using a nude-elliptical diamond stylus, UltraTracker easily tracks complex dynamic passages. You’ll hear superb detail and experience musical emotionalism that will send shivers down your spine. 14. Selling my Project Debut III in gloss black. It is accompanied with a NAD PP2 Preamp, and Ortofon OM10 Cartridge Reason for selling is that unfortunately I don't use the darn thing.
  15. Further information: Having to stay indoors gives one a lot of time to spend on the computer looking around. ( lockdown upgrade virus 😀 ) I am considering upgrading a few areas of my system, one being my turntable. Nothing wrong with it at all, but I have just seen some others that I might like to try. Fitted with Ortofon Bronze cartridge. I have the original box so shipping is available. Reasonable offers will be considered as will a trade on a quality phono stage. Please PM me with any queries Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  16. Further information: has done less than 30 hours as it was a backup to my existing cart. Decided to upgrade my existing cart and use it as backup. I found the E3 to be very close in sound and performance to the Ortofon 2m Blue I used to have and left the Nagaoka MP-110 in the dust detail wise. 17. i put this up a while ago and then made the mistake of listening to it again — I lost my bottle and decided to keep it. But the reality is I put a lot of effort into my digital system and hardly ever listen to vinyl these days, so it's back for sale. It is a cracking TT in very nice condition and with all the obvious upgrades done. It needs to go to someone who will appreciate it. If you're in the market for a for a new Rega (up to, say, a P6) buy this. With this cart and upgrades it's a bargain and you'll have a bucket of money left over for vinyl. Rega P3-24 & TT PSU with: Ortofon 2m Black with maybe 100 hours on it at most. https://www.decibelhifi.com.au/ortofon-2m-black-cartridge/ funk firm achroplat platter https://www.audiophile.com/collections/analogue/products/funk-firm-achroplat-ii Audiophile solid subplatter and ceramic bearing ISOKinetik counterweight https://www.analogueseduction.net/isokinetik-upgrades-and-parts/isokinetik-isoweight.html Tangospinner feet Little Blue Belter belt TT level I have the original Rega box but would prefer local buyer
  18. Further information: Project RPM 1.3 Turntable and Ortofon 2M Red Cartridge Excellent turntable, very good condition, If you're going to produce turntables at a good price as project do, then you need a good design, leave out what you don't need and focus on the parts that matter, and in my opinion Project do that great. I am not the first owner but when i purchased it the previous owner had hardly used it and the same has been true for me, so the cartridge has had little use and appears to be in good condition when studied with a magnifier. Sorry for the close up it is next to useless. The Deck is designed to have a round belt (about $25 to replace) It has a flat belt at the moment which is perhaps not right for the motor but i prefer the way it sits on the platter. I can't locate the round one. The cartridge is the Ortofon 2M Red MM, a really great cartridge. The whole package sounds very good, the turntable itself would suit further upgrades to the cartridge, despite the hype around spending more on an arm or turntable. I have the original box so postage should not be too difficult, it will be at your cost and risk. I would prefer local pick up for obvious reasons. A personal opinion: I have had and compared many, many turntables over the years and in my experience the matching of the cartridge and phono stage is by far the most important part of getting a good sound. The arm comes next. The actual turntable is the least important part. I could offer so many examples of this. We likely would never put an expensive arm and cart on this deck because we would tell ourself that the price of the deck does not warrant it. If you did though the difference between this and something more expensive would be minimal. It's a turntable and by nature of the vinyl you put on it they are musical.

  20. Item: Linn LP12 Location: Perth Price: 1600 ono Item Condition: good Reason for selling: small child is now almost ready to destroy everything I own. Best it go somewhere safe. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Early Linn LP12 for sale equipped with Rega RB300 tonearm and Linn Asak moving coil cartridge. I am told that I am the third owner of this beauty with the original owner having it for many decades. The second owner got a newer Linn rather than upgrade. The fluted plinth is in pretty good condition with a few small nicks as seen in the photos. Lid is crack free with only minor swirling. Hinges replaced by myself so are almost new. No idea about the hours on the cartridge but it plays without a hitch and stylus looks very straight. I've put on less than 50 hours personally having only got it right before our child was born. It has been well looked after by all owners and I even have the original documents. Bonus shim for the tonearm in case you need to raise the height to accommodate a different cartridge. Happy for inspections for anyone in Perth. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  21. Item: Micro Seiki BL 91 turntable with SME 309 tonearm Location: blue mountains nsw Price: 3400 Item Condition: very good Reason for selling: a very reluctant sale but want funds for another project . Payment Method: cash , PayPal +% , transfer Extra Info: a very special combo. the SME 309 should need no introduction - see online reviews. superb in styling and a breeze to use. the micro seiki is simply a beautiful turntable both in form and function. from vinyl engine specs site it "Features a massive, thick, 12.2 inch platter, employing special alloy bearings machined and polished with techniques usually reserved for turbojet engines. Micro Seiki engineers devised an exclusive oil-bath damping system to support the entire rotating assembly in complete isolation from all mechanical resonances. A precision-ground drive belt connects the rotating assembly to the brushless, servo-controlled motor with total isolation from motor generated vibration. In fact, the BL-91 (L) is probably the smoothest, most vibration-free device of its kind ever built. the plinth is multi-laminar natural wood finished with hand rubbed natural ebony... 16 kg" all original handbooks for SME and micro seiki. . please note the benz cart is NOT included in sale price . please also see blemish on tonearm where it sits in holder ( common )and blemish on plinth. also the wire connectors on the tonearm head shell to cartridge have shabby insulation that is unnoticeable from above and does not affect performance. would prefer a pickup but will consider postage. preference for pickup. will consider seperating - although the unit is functionally and aesthetically outstanding as it is. .

  23. Item: NAD 5120 Turntable with Ortofon OM5E Location: Melbourne, Australia Price: $250 Item Condition: Excellent overall. Perfect working condition, great cosmetically (perspex lid has superficial scratches from years of being wiped/cleaned). Reason for selling: Upgraded to a new TT Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: This NAD 5120 is a time capsule. I bought it mint from a gentleman in the outer Melbourne suburbs in 2012, he had bought it brand new in the late 80s, used it for a couple of months then stopped using it and had put it back in its original box. For 20+ years it was in storage in its original box and when I bought it I had the pleasure to unbox it again. The sticky tape had almost perished / disintegrated and left a sticky mess.. nothing a citrus cleanser can't fix of course. Sounded pretty good out of the box (I had it hooked up to a Rega Fono Mini) but I knew the original cartridge and stylus would've been long past its best before date. I put a fresh Ortofon OM5E, a new drive belt and took it to Carlton AV for a proper setup and voila, it sings! Over the last 9 years I have enjoyed the NAD, listening on average only 1-2 hours per month - it did not get much use at all. Very very clean deck overall and well looked after. Stylus is regularly cleaned with a carbon bristle brush and has dust cap included. The NAD 5120 is the epitome of NAD's quirkiness + 80s overengineering. The sub-plate is floating, suspended by springs, isolated from the main chassis from vibration. The counterweight is freely sprung in a magical 80s viscoelastic liquid in a reservoir! NAD calls it DVA - Dynamic Vibration Absorber. Patrick Bateman would've been really into this. Lastly, it has a super handy auto-stop function which I really like.. you can listen to records to sleep and not worry about the stylus being ground to oblivion. Own (and listen) to this 80s vintage piece of cool. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
