  1. Hi all, Could you please recommend an amplifier (possibly integrated with phono) able to deliver high current levels? I will be matching it with Magnepan lrs. I won't be listening at very high levels. Thank you!!
  2. Has anyone here owned or heard a Decware amplifier, especially the Zen. They never come up for sale on StereoNet and a search I did for them on here came up with virtually nothing.
  3. Another fantastic PSA product. Perfect condition! 3 months to run under warranty & I have original boxes. I've been an set guy for years ( and still love them) but these amps are something special. I originally bought them to power woofers in a 3 way system ( using tube amps for mid & top) but that never eventuated. I was very surprised when I put them in my current system. Power authority, control, very quiet, dynamic and to my amazment very good linear extension to the top end. My tube amps didn't go back into the system. These things are so efficient and don't even get warm. I like everything about them down to the speaker binding posts. Not only do they have a slip ring to prevent the nut from bitting on the spade terminal but notice how all the shafts extend right the way inside the case and are rock solidly mounted. See also my other gear 4 sale; Acrolink power cables, Acoustic Zen speaker & innterconnect cables, uLink, id100 apple dock, & in time Audion Black Shadow SET 845 monoblocks, Focal 15k 8711 woofers & possibly Stellar gain cell dac/ pre.
  4. Hi all, So I have been running the below for as long as i can remember in my study, and have been happy so far. However, I have now moved into a bigger room and have access to a pair of Krix Equinox, So have retired the Cambridge S30s.. Now the problem arises, that King Rex can sometimes struggle with the occasional times I like to listen away from the PC at louder volume levels.. Cambridge S30 KingRex T AMP/PSU Asus STX/PC My question is which of the following would you suggest to replace the King Rex with? and what would be a good sonic fit for the Krix (I will miss the King Rex NAD 3020 Denon PMA 30 Yamaha WXA- 50 As you can see I am looking for a small desktop style amplifier. The Yamaha is the current pick due to price and features, it also gets good reviews over on ASR.. Thanks for your time Dan
  5. Further information: mint condition with original box, remote and instructions. 6. I am in the process of building a scoop design subwoofer with a 1600 watt Celestion driver. I am seeking advice for how to power my sub once I have built it. I am looking at a Peavey PV2600 which can be bridged for a total 8 ohm output of 1800 watts. Since there is only one driver I am planning to use that option, I have read online that I can run this power to the one white mono channel on the driver. I am looking to find out if once I am running 1800 watts from the amp, how will I adjust the wattage to 1600 from 1800? I would really appreciate some help with this.

  9. Further information: Up for sale is a Chord Mojo amp/DAC purchased in February 2020. It is in excellent condition, and has always been used in a Dignis leather case (which is included in this listing). Never used while charging (this creates excess heat on the battery from the FPGA chip, leading to shorter battery lifetime). Also included are two hard to find interconnects: a sturdy USB A to Micro USB cable with ferrite choke to reduce EMF inteference (the Mojo picks up buzz from mobile phones easily), and a hard to find Astell & Kern USB C to Micro USB cable. Both cables are hard to find and were imported from Japan to make the Mojo easier to use with portable sources. Original micro-USB cable and packaging not included as they were lost. RRP of included items: Chord Mojo: $799 Dignis Laetus Leather Case: $119 A&K USB Type-C to Micro 5pin OTG Cable (PEE12): Approx. $40 Elecom USB A to Micro Cable w/ ferrite choke: Approx $15 Items will be shipped by Australia Post Express with insurance.
  10. I've inherited a pair of Jamo 707i floor standing speakers (in black). I'm looking for a second hand amplifier that will handle them, from what I understand they're a little power hungry! Details below from Hifi Review: "Parameters specifications module of input impedance are quite loyal load for the amplifier: average is 8.6 Ohm, nominal impedance is 3.5 Ohm, standard deviation is +/-3,2 Ohm, maximum is (2 kHz) 16 Om. The setting's frequency of the resonator is 55 Hz. Rated power is 200 W, a valid short-term exposure is to 280 watts. The average sensitivity in the range of 100 Hz - 20 kHz, according to our estimates is very decent - 89 dB." Trying to understand what will handle them. And that might cost around the $500 range (second hand). Yamaha A-S501? Yamaha A-S701? Also saw a NAD 7600 in the classifieds here which looks to be an absolute beast? Hope I followed the rules with this post! Thank you audio gods, I am not yet worthy.
  11. Further information: Onkyo's flagship amplifier. Excellent condition, 3 years old. Selling because of an upgrade. Pickup only as I can't find the box anymore. Photos: PLEASE READ If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved
  12. Hi Guys What will be the best power amplifier /integrated amplifier to choose in the musical fidelity between $5000 - $7000? Does pre-pro has advantage over MF integrated? Thanks in advance Is new series of MF is going to be coming soon?
  13. Hi, I currently have have an old denon avr 3806 and a newish set of kef R3 speakers replacing my old Snell type k. Any my suggestions on an upgrade path for stereo sound. new power amp on the back of the denon or a dedicated integrated amp (with ht bypass)?
  14. Further information: Selling my vintage McIntosh MA6100 Integrated Amplifier with customised Australian Ash hardwood Case. The unit is in excellent cosmetic and working condition, last serviced in 2017. The unit comes with original manuals as shown on photos and specifications are detailed on the photos of pages of the manual. The speaker posts have been upgraded to gold plated banana plugs and the amp has been converted to 240v. I am selling because I have changed to a tube based system and the amp is now surplus. I would prefer to sell locally as I do not have the original packaging and I am concerned about damage in transit. Buyer would be responsible for packaging, shipping cost and risk. Photos:
  15. Further information: Purchased 1 year ago from Addicted to Audio. 1st and only owner. Best way to describe the condition is I can pack it back up in the original box and and sell it as brand new, it's that perfect. The photos can be deceiving but it's just the dust that makes it appear as dirty or with marks. It has been paired with a Schiit Yggdrasil Amplifier. At this price point, I am yet to find a better headphone amplifier, and believe me, I've tried lots of them. It comes with all the original paperwork, the original box and the original power cable which is still brand new (I used another power cable). This is an incredible headphone amplifier and I can assure you, you will not be disappointed, not to mention that this amp is very rarely listed privately and for a good price. I am open to reasonable offers but please, no low balls. If any more information is required please send me a message, I usually respond very quickly. Thank you. Photos:
  16. Plessis Audio S1 integrated amp in excellent condition. Bought new from Len Wallis Audio in 2017. The S1 came about as a joint effort between Charl Du Plessis and his manufacturing partner in China. The design brief was to come up with an amplifier that delivered great sound quality at a really good price. I recommend this amp as an introduction to audiophile grade hi-fi and in my own blind listening tests with various speakers in a listening room easily goes toe to toe with amps well over twice its RRP. Paired with a streaming solution like Yamaha's MusicCast boxes, it will do everything you need. Weighing in at 10kg, the result is a fantastic sounding minimalist amp that delivers 80 watts RMS into 8 ohms and 130 watts into a 4 ohm load. The only controls are a wonderfully smooth motorised volume control, input selection (from front panel only), mute. A baby remote and bonus headphone out. Lovely sounding and was enjoyed in my system. Has a slightly warm tone, excellent drive, and presents a nice amount of detail. Physically, there's a few light scratches and a slight bit of discolouration on the top of the case where the significant other placed something that stuck to the case, and she used some solvent to remove the residue. Class A amplifier 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms. 5 analog inputs and 2 digital inputs to the Burr Brown DAC. Lovely sounding amp which is built like a tank, weighs approximately 16kg. In excellent working order except volume control on unit is temperamental, however volume adjustments via remote control function properly. CD player with tube output via RCA or digital output to your favourite DAC. Functions as it should. Happy to answer any questions
