There is lots of sites with 4K content in many shapes or forms but not many allow you to look at entire list in user friendly manner so I decided to create our own list with complete collection available within 1 page, I plan to update it once a week (if time allow) but if someone is willing to help from mods (due to post update restrictions) I would definitely appreciate it... All artworks (pictures) are taken from www.blu-ray.com and are hyperlinked, there are other sites I could take it from but BR seems to be most updated, I only took 1 artwork per title even if there might be more from each, if you are unsure about the title name from the picture just hoover with your mouse over it and it'll pop up or just click on it and it'll open directly on blu-ray.com site Whole list is in alphabetical order (sort of according to BR page ) so if you can't find certain title please have a look under different name e.g. Jason Bourne might be under "B" but also under "J" as some of them where released under different name, same applies for prefixes e.g. "the" etc. I don't know what's the standard screen resolution these days so if you'd like to widen it with more artworks within one row just let me know and I will rebuild it...   12. The top-of-the-line Sony Z9D TV sets have been announced for the US and Europe. They consist of 65", 75" and 100" sizes. But word from Sony Australia is that only the 65" and 100" will be brought into Australia. SONY! Please say it isn't so! If anything, they should bring in just the 65" and 75" and forget the 100".   13. A bit of background, I have owned a few projectors, a couple of epson LCD projectors over the years and then the last few years been very happy with a JVC X-35 projector. So Ultra UHD is on our door step ... of course as I am very enthusiastic about these things what should I do ? The obvious would be one of the new Sony 4K projectors...but then have seen the flagship sony 1100ES that retails at over $25k being humbled by my few generations old base model jvc. and even the cheapest 4K sony is some $15k !!!! way more than what I would want to spend and then to top off I find all the sony models in some way or the other dont fully support the new UHD format with either lacking HDR (high dynamic range) or lacking support for the DCI p3 wider gamut that the new format will support. And then I find out JVC has a new range...something that has been 2 years in the making.... http://cdn.jvc.eu/dla-x9000/index.html And unlike the Sony's it built for UHD, utilising a new 4K E-shift 4, and is HDR and wider gamut p3 DCI capable. But hey is it true 4k? The shift for jvcs has always been a 1080p panel that they shift really fast diagonaly to essentially upscale. However according to the jvc info the new 4k e-shift 4 is an evolution of this that takes a 4k signal splits into two frames diagonally and utilises a half pixel diagonal shift with the 1080p panel to create a 4k frame. Anyways 4k is beyond Imax and I have no intention of putting in a setup of greater scale than imax so not really chasing 4k. My interest is the other aspects of UHD with HDR and wider gamut and if I get any gains in resolution than what we have ...i'll happily take it with local pricing placing the base model X5000 at $6,160, mid range model X7000 at $8,800 and top model X9000 on $10,450 (not including 3D glasses..but fortunately I already have them from my previous JVC) So as it happens...before I know it ...it turns out I am the first person in the country ordering one of these JVCs ! I go for the piggy in the middle. since the base model uses the previous generation light engine, doesnt quite cover the p3 wide gamut and also quite a bit down on contrast vs the previous years models. And the top model is really only the mid range model with some hand picked parts......so the x7000 model it is for me And I am then one of the first in the world to be receiving one of these black boxes ... on my birthday ! and posting an unboxing...

  15. I've been mulling over this issue for a while now, and thought I'd ask you guys (and girls) if you had any answers for me. I've also done a search and can't find any threads specifically discussing the issue of variable 4K quality on different platforms. The main question, there will be others later, is... why does 4K on You Tube look so much cleaner and precise than 4K presentations on all other platforms? If I watch something in (supposed) 4K on You Tube it is always as I would expect 4K to look, whereas 4K on Netflix, Amazon, Stan and VUDU is good, but doesn't have the same (almost) jaw dropping clarity of a You Tube video. Before we go any further, here is the gear I use (all cables are good, and high speed NBN of consistent 95mbs): Hisense 75N7 Yamaha 3060 Apple TV 4K Nvidia Shield All devices are connected via the 3060 Other questions I just can't find answers to: 1. The Yamaha 3060's recent update included Dolby Vision, but the Hisense isn't compatible. The ATV sends Dolby Vision instead of HDR to the amp when watching Netflix. Does this make any difference? Can it be changed if needed? 2. If this is causing an issue, is there a way to only send HDR from the amp to the Hisense? 3. How do I ensure that I am allowing all video to pass through to the TV to allow it to do the upscaling, as I believe the Hisense is capable of doing a better job? 4. When I visit a You Tube channel which supposedly is showing HDR content, is it actually in HDR or just brighter 4K? The TV doesn't register a HDR signal from You Tube. This is when trying on both media players. The TV does receive HDR signal from other platforms on both the Shield and ATV. Thanks for any help. Oh, and before anyone whinges that I've posted this on a couple of forums...I just can't find answers to these questions, so I'm covering all knowledge bases. Cheers
  16. Hey everyone, Kind of new to the whole UHD thing (but loving it so far) and am wanting to get feedback from those who have done it. I’ve read that you’re able to play UHD movies ordered from overseas and they’ll play here in Australia as the UHD discs are essentially region free. Is this true? Does anybody have any experience with having ordered UHDs from overseas (specifically America via Amazon etc) and can confirm it works? And has anybody had the opposite? Where they’ve ordered UHDs from overseas and they haven’t worked? I’m aware the extra regular blu-ray dis that comes with most releases probably won’t work - it’s the UHD stuff I’m after. Thanks in in advance for your help everyone! Appreciate it ?

  24. Hi, I am about to purchase a new 4K TV and was wondering how to connect it to use my UHD player for both my projector and new TV. Current Equipment all running through my AVR Denon 4311 AVR - UHD BD Pana UB400 - PS4 - Apple TV - Fetch Mighty - 1080p plasma (soon to be replaced with pana 75EX780A) - Epson 9100w projector. The only way i can think of running this setup with my existing gear is with a UHD hdmi switch from my UHD BD player that would connect to the TV and AVR. Then use the Audio return channel function to get sound from the TV to the AVR for netflix etc. This would mean i use two imput's on the AVR for the BD player, one for dedicated audio when displaying on the TV, and a section direct sound/video when using the projector. Anyone have a better idea? I don't really want to get a switch if i can be helped.
