  2. Item full name and model etc. - Numerous Cables - collected over the years - Everything is AT LEAST 50% off retail and ranges in age. Most have had little use.] I'm a tweaker what can I say - a tweaker who needs to buy that house! So after another sort through my boxes I've found another bunch of cables! Mostly power cables but some nice purist balanced cables there too. Prices have dropped on whatever remains; This is part 2; the good stuff; mostly used in my reference system with my Nagra's and VPI HRX turntable. This is all I've got left so please help me get that house Thanks very much. 1. 2 x 1m Oyaide Tunami Power Cable with C-0004 connectors - Australian Plug - These are customer made with the best connectors available - great amplifier cables - $500 each (the plug alone is $150) http://www.oyaide.com/ENGLISH/index.html - $1500 each retail. - high quality aussie clipsal plugs - pictures attached. 2. 1 x 2m Harmonic Tech AC10 Fantasy 10 AMP to US plug - $280 ($895 retail here) 3. 1 x 1m pair Purist Audio Balanced Cable - Aqueous 20th Anniversary - (almost their top cable) - was $1500 here - $550 - http://www.positive-feedback.com/Issue39/pad_aqueous.htm 4. 1 x 1.5m Purist Audio Venustas Power Cable - Mid Level Cable - was $1500 here - $550 - http://www.positive-feedback.com/Issue15/venustas.htm 5. 1 x 1.5m Chord Cable Power Cable - European plugs - $100 each - Just change the plugs to Aussie plugs if you prefer 25% of their original retail price (unearthed 2 pin european pin model left) - If you have a CD player, Pre or any source for that matter this would be ideal! 6. 2 x Analysis Plus Silver Oval XLR splitter - 1 female XLR to 2 Male XLR - $300 each (these are $800 each new 5 months old). http://www.analysis-plus.com/ 7. 1 x Gryphon Guideline Reference Interconnect 1.5m - 2 x XLR female to 2 RCA - $1250 (these are $3,200 retail) http://www.gryphon-a...ce-interconnect 8. 1 x Gryphon Guideline Reference Interconnect 1m - 2 x XLR to 2 XLR - $1100 (these are $2800 retail) http://www.gryphon-a...ce-interconnect 9. 1 x Harmonic Tech AC10 AC cable 10AMP to US plug - $215 (these retail for $695 here) http://www.harmonict...ntasy-ac10.html 10. 1 x Chord component video cable 1.5m 3 RCA to 3 RCA - $100 (these were $200 here) http://store.lifesty...nent-video.html 11. 1 x Chord Component Video 10m - 3 RCA to 3 RCA - $150 (these are $470 new) http://store.lifesty...onent-3rca3-10. 12. 1 x Cawsey DOM AC power cable 2m AUS plug to IEC - $350 (this retailed for $700) - picture and website to come. - one left!!! 13. 2 x Harmonic Technology Power Cable 2m AUS to IEC - $800 each - TOP MODEL the Original and the best - these baby's retailed in AUS for $2500 each and they're worth every penny; the new model use a RF module that restricts a little current - so I asked for these to be made without! Hence they're good for power board supply or amplifiers! These are the hardest cables for me to give away because they're just excellent! http://www.stereotimes.com/cables042100.shtml * Location Sydney Australia * Item condition description: Varies - any questions please ask. * Reason for selling buying a house! Audio must go! this is enough to buy many bottles of champers (because I'll need it to get over the fact I sold my Hi-Fi system) - * Payment Methods: Cash, Paypal (3%), Direct Deposit, bank cheque * Extra Info: Well a man comes to a stage where he has to think about his options; hifi gear EVERYWHERE - meaning more to move or clear it all and put it towards a house. It's going to be one EMPTY house but heck it's a house none the less. All of the above cables are extremely well cared for and are like new because most of the time I just buy the cable to try it out. It's a costly experience but like mentioned in other sections of this forum. Hi-Fi store owners are not the best with loans, especially cables! So here's a collection of cables that range from the cheap to the reference level. Some have quite specific tasks but I'm sure on this forum unlike many others - there would be people on here looking for just this very thing! All have passed my critical ears and I'm happy to ship anywhere in Australia - however you're going to have to pay for shipping! I appreciate all those that have questions; I'll do my best to answer them so send me your questions no matter how strange.

  8. I would like to re-terminate my K601s to 4-pins XLR for use with my NFB10SE. I have read a few people reporting that it improves the sound as the added output power helps these rather difficult to drive headphones. I'm thinking of getting the items in this guide and following it: http://www.audio-gd.com/Pro/Headphoneamp/Phoenix/ModifyEN.htm Is there anyone that has done this / knows how this can be done? While I'm at it, would it be recommended to re-cable and dual entry as well so that wire does not get routed through the headband?
  9. Item: HRT Music Streamer Pro Balanced USB DAC + 20ft custom XLR cables (Canare/Neutrik) Location: Sydney Price: $275 + P&P Item Condition: Superb Reason for selling: No longer required Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, COD Only Extra Info: You'd be hard-pushed to find a better value balanced output DAC. The local RRP is AU$549 (which doesn't include the cost of the breakout cables). This DAC ships with 20ft (!) of custom made cables terminated with XLRs. Asynchronous USB. Handles up to 24/96. Connect to your PC or Mac. Even works with Squeezebox Touch (+ EDO applet). Ships with original box. Photos: Ordinarily, I'd have pics here already. A detached retina means I'm slower than usual. Be patient Young Skywalker. Photos added below. Review summaries: Absolute Sound "This inexpensive USB DAC is a good choice for budget-minded computer-audio enthusiasts. The unit is minimalist in the extreme with just one input (asynchronous USB) and a pair of balanced outputs. The sound is decent for the price, exhibiting transparency and a big soundstage." 6Moons.com "A meaty big and bouncy DAC that impresses with its dynamics from a tiny box. The HRT does so many things right that it may be all you need. I could certainly live with the HRT. It betters my Mhdt by a country mile and its cost is more than effective. It’s a steal."
