  1. Further information: I purchased these used in 2017 and these have been the longest speakers I have kept. They have seen off many other speakers, floor standers may have more bass and output but these just sound right to me. It’s a sealed box so there isn’t much bass but what it has is GREAT. These love a bit of power to make them sing….. Lots of power. These sounded best with Naksa 70 & B&O ICE 125ASX2 an amp with lots of bass control. For a while I had these speakers at work in a large warehouse and mini Topping class D Tripath amp and it wasn’t too bad even with these tiny bass drivers. It is the Whatmough house sound in a tiny package. These sound good on stands over putting them on a side table or shelf. 2 way sealed enclosure using 140cm bass driver 25mm soft dome tweeter Efficiency: 85dB input level 2.83v - 1watt into 8ohms 65Hz to 20kHz +/- 3dB 300H x 185W x 180D 6kg Finish: Burnt Cherry (?) mounting bracket on back There are a few marks on the speakers nothing major. 60cms Stands I had made in 2018 by Anthony (Grizzly) they cost me around $330 I think (could be more) Perfect for these speakers and LS3/5a size speakers has spikes and floor disc. These work well on hard floors. For carpet a heavy weight on the bottom of the stands will keep it balanced. I used books or LPs. Willing to separate. Open to reasonable offers. Photos:
  2. Further information: I bought these new from Basement HiFi on York Street in 2005. They've been through three countries and a couple of international moves. I've loved these speakers and really enjoyed listening to them. They've been in non-smoking environment and work beautifully. I don't have shipping boxes for them, but can get something made up at pack and send at buyers expense if required. From that aspect, pickup is very much preferred. Photos: \\
  3. Further information: In excellent condition a pair of Australian Whatmough C11 bookshelf speakers - refer to photos. 2 - way speaker, silk dome tweeter with 6.5inch woofer - front reflex port. Finish is a beautiful real wood veneer - Burnt Cherry. Grills in perfect condition, I've been running these in Bi-Wire but can provide some 12awg cables for jumping if not bi-wiring. In general a very relaxing, smooth listen with a fairly neutral response, paired very well with my Marantz PM-17 amplifier. A great testament to the work of local Colin Whatmough. *Attached screen shot of measured frequency response in my own room for reference - measured with a Blue Snowball MIC and REW. 4. Further information: Whatmough Classic Series C31 floorstanders in excellent condition. Purchased from SN member "(smart") because of very low price , and after 2 days of testing decided to pass it to someone who really needs it...all drivers in mint condition, sound as expected, no issues. If I find matching centre speaker, I'll keep it for HT setup. Happy to demo, local sale only... Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.

Description Whatmough S33i 3-Way Floor-Standing Speakers Overview The Whatmough S33i floor standing speakers are the ultimate speaker in the Whatmough Signature series. Their design and built quality are up to the audiophile standards. The S33i delivers truly spectacular sound. The Signature S33i are based on the Performance Series P33i, with significant improvements to bring them up to Signature Series status. Cabinet This cabinet design offers more than just great looks – they also offer improved sound quality. By eliminating internal parallel surfaces, the curved surfaces offer clearer and cleaner sound by minimizing internal standing waves. Even more significantly, the curved panels are inherently more rigid and less resonant than the flat panels of a conventional speaker cabinet, which further helps to minimize coloration. Tweeter The Signatures S33i uses the same Ring Radiator tweeter that is used in Whatmough’s flagship speaker, the Paragon. This ultra-expensive tweeter sounds incredibly fast and detailed while also sounding extremely smooth and open. It has a very flat response extending to beyond 40KHz. Midrange The Signature S33i uses a 100mm cellulous fibre coned mid-range driver. This driver has the speed and transparency no bass/mid driver can match. Bass The Signature S33i uses two 170mm fiberglass/nomex hybrid drivers especially developed for these speakers. The cone for this speaker is made of Nomex with a skin of fiberglass. This long throw driver uses a 33mm high temperature voice coil and a large double magnet system. This driver has very high power handling as well as a very transparent detailed sound quality. Crossover The S33i uses high grade audiophile film and foil capacitors in critical positions. Air cored coils are used throughout, wound from a heavier grade of high purity Australian copper. System The perfect partner in the Signature Series system featuring the S8i in the centre and P12i or PFX3i speakers in the rear for a truly exceptional home cinema surround sound experience. The S33i is fully made in Australia. Configuration 3-way bass reflex enclosure using two 170mm hybrid fibre cone long elbow bass drivers, a 100mm cellulose fibre midrange driver and a 35mm dual concentric tweeter with wave guide centre plug. Nominal Impedance 4 Ohms Amplifier Power Requirement 25-150 watts RMS Power Handling Transient level in excess of 300 watts with an average level of 120 watts. Sensitivity 88dB input level of 2.83V. Product Description Whatmough Impact 2 Active Subwoofer - Extreme low level of distortion with very clean, powerful and tight bass, this subwoofer is capable of producing accurate low musical notes below 20Hz at remarkably high volume levels. The tight bass extension of this subwoofer is acoustically controlled without the usage of equalisation. The Impact2 uses a 250mm extremely long throw driver which has a huge 75mm huge voice coil for a higher power handling and a massive magnet structure. This driver alone weighs over 10 kgs. Because it has such a long throw (36mm linear throw), this driver is capable of higher output than most 305mm driver, yet its smaller size allows it to be noticeably faster and tighter. A true audiophile subwoofer … Finish - Piano Graphite Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
