We all like the new Turntables that are recently been coming onto the market albeit at a considerable price point in most cases. We all enjoy the resurgence of the mechanical instrument called the record player / Turntable So for some of us who have enjoyed the roaring 1970ish and early 19naughties and... The people who were but a sparke in the eyes. Please do post some pictures of your these classics you had, have and still enjoying. If possible some information regarding the subjects. I start it off ..... Photo 1; Elac Miracord 610 Photo 2; Transcription Fluid turntable, Tone arm and accessories In many a view these were the major step forward in the design and engineering of the turntable as a musical reproduction instrument of the master file embedded in vinyls medium Photo 3; Sanyo TP700SA One of the more mechanical complex engineered Turntable. Has options from full manual to full auto and same side auto repeat.

Item: Marantz 6300 turntable, Genuine ATS0SLa Cartridge, Genuine 20SLA Shibata Stylus, Records and all accessories. Location: Melbourne Price: $950 firm Item Condition: Everything working as it should. Some scratches & cracks on dust cover. Reason for selling: I'm not playing records much as I'm mostly using Tidal/Spotify or FLAC files from hard disk drive as source. Thinking it will be good if I can sell this and spent the money on something else which will help me to refine my setup. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal(Covering fees or as a friend), COD Only Extra Info: I spent a lot more money in getting this unit and collecting everything included in this sale. 1. Marantz 6300 turntable. 2. Genuine Audio Technica Limited edition ATS0SLa Cartridge ( This cartridge itself is worth $400 - $500 with genuine stylus). 3. Genuine 20SLA Shibata Stylus. 4. Exactly 50 records. 5. Glass base ( On which the turntable is placed ). 6. Platter weight. 7. ZEROSTAT Gun 8. Discwasher record cleaning fluid. 9. MEMOREX record cleaning fluid. 10. Discwasher record cleaning brush. This is my second Marantz 6300 (European version with voltage selector) from my collection which is in all original condition. The cartridge and stylus included are in excellent condition as most of the time I used a different one (Do your research to see how much this limited edition cartridge with the genuine stylus is worth). Listed this one sometime back but removed as my mind got changed. Prefer local pickup from Heidelberg Heights or buyer needs to make arrangements at own risk. Pictures:

Recommend me a turntable $500 -$1200
grg_pasc posted a topic in General Hi-Fi & Beginners Discussion
Hi all, I'm looking for a turntable (probably vintage) for between $500 and $1200, and would love to hear people's suggestions..... I'm very fond of anything Micro Seiki, just love their build quality and style. I also like some of the Luxman tables and I've heard Denon (i.e. DP59 or higher) are good too, but my knowledge and listening experiences don't go too far beyond these vintage Japanese style tables. If anyone has a similar model tt for sale feel free to let me know So I'm grappling with two options - buy a lower to mid-range Micro seiki (or similar), and upgrade the tonearm, or do I put my pennies towards a better table and worry about a tonearm further down the road. I know much of this will come down to what is available at the time, but I'd really like to hear some recommended options from some of our TT enthusiasts! Any help is appreciated, Cheers, G -
Item: Vintage Turntable Price Range: $150 - $250 (including shipping) Item Condition: Used Extra Info: I'm in Melbourne so would prefer something local but for the right TT at the right price I'm prepared to pay postage (if the seller is happy to pack and send). Hi all, Hope someone can help. I'm pretty new to all of this and am looking to start up my retro/vintage hi fi system starting with a turntable. Below is a list of TT's I've found through my research that I really like and would appear to fit my price range...but I'd consider anything similar as long as it's in good working and cosmetic condition and fits my budget. I'm not really fussed whether it's belt or direct drive. You'll have to forgive me if I've listed TT's way above (or below!!) my price range but I've just tried to find similar looking/spec'd turntables based on the research I've done (here, ebay, gumtree) ...I'll rely on the experts here for guidance if I'm way off the mark....so here goes! In no particular order: JVC JL-A40 PIONEER PL-540 YAMAHA YP-700 PIONEER SPL-110 Sansui SR-212 JVC JLA-1 Pioneer PL-12 Akai AP-207 (I really like this one) Thanks for reading, Skender.
