  1. Now all officially announced at CEDIA 2013 http://blog.sony.com/press/cedia-2013/ IFA Berlin 2013 (Previous Sept. 4 announcement for 600/500 and 55) http://presscentre.s...30&NewsAreaId=2 Sony VPL-VW1100ES 4K Home Cinema Projector http://www.projectio...u-vpl-vw1000es/ 2,000 ANSI-lumens 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast (TRILUMINOS) 2.1x motorized zoom HDMI 2.0 (Support 4K/60p) Bundled with the Sony 4K Ultra HD Media Player (model FMP-X1) Sony Xperia Z Tablet as a controller Replacement lamp Priced at $27,999.99 USD Sony VPL-VW600ES/VW500ES 4K Home Cinema Projector http://www.sony.co.u...w500es/overview 1700 ANSI-lumens 200,000:1 dynamic contrast (TRILUMINOS) 2.06x motorized zoom HDMI 2.0 (Support 4K/60p) November for $14,999.99 USD Sony FMP-X1 4K Ultra HD Media Player and a Sony Xperia Z Tablet for an additional US $1,000.00. Sony VPL-HW55ES HD 3D Home Cinema Projector http://www.sony.co.u...hw55es/overview 1700 ANSI-lumens 120,000:1 dynamic contrast 1.6x manual zoom 5,000 hour long lasting lamp due to its improved lamp cooling system. October at $3,999.99 USD 55 has no motorised zoom and therefore no lens memory, though gained enhanced optical efficiency and an improved cooling for longer lamp life. 55 might be a tough sell for 50 owners. 500 might be great for early adopters of 4K. You’d hope those 4K Blu-ray discs and players get announced soon; maybe surprise announcement down the track that the PS4 was 4K Blu-ray disc ready?
  2. The top-of-the-line Sony Z9D TV sets have been announced for the US and Europe. They consist of 65", 75" and 100" sizes. But word from Sony Australia is that only the 65" and 100" will be brought into Australia. SONY! Please say it isn't so! If anything, they should bring in just the 65" and 75" and forget the 100". Don't think they'll sell many of those. http://www.sony.com/electronics/televisions/xbr-z9d-series I had my eye on the 75" model. I hope Sony Australia changes their mind.
