  1. Item: Fidelity Research 64s tonearm Location: Sydney Price: $2,000 Item Condition: very good (conservative due to age) Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, Extra Info: The tonearm is in excellent condition. Have been using it with a Koetsu Rosewood Signature Platinum cartridge and the sound was absolutely perfect. The only reason for selling is the itch to hear other tonearms, cartridges, etc... you know the drill. In any case, I have the original box (also very good condition), as well as headshell and cables. The carbon headshell and cartridge (as seen in photo) are not included, however if interested, drop me a PM. At the asking price, I will add the FR cartridge alignment protractor. Buyer to pay shipping (if needed) and Paypal fees (unless friendly purchase). Tonearm packed and ready to go; can be inspected however. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  2. Item: Fidelity Research FR-1 Mk3 + Denon DL-303 (shibata retip) low output moving coil cartridges Location: Inner North Brisbane Price: $850 Item Condition: Looks mint. Sound fantastic. Reason for selling: Freeing up funds for a DIY project Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal Extra Info: The Fidelity Research FR-1 Mk3 sounds fantastic as can be expected of this legendary cartridge. Tip is original and cart looks new still. Denon DL-303 was the predecessor to the 304 and is a truly wonderful sounding cartridge. Very detailed as retipped by Garrott Bros a few years ago with a shibata tip. Priced for a quick sale. There are a number of FR-1 Mk3 carts on eBay right now for over $1,000 and the DL303 usual goes for $4-500. Sad to let them go Photos:
  3. Item: Koetsu Rosewood Platinum cartridge and Fidelity Research FR64S tonearm Location: Epping NSW Price: $5,100 Item Condition: Very good (very conservative, due to age - see description below) Reason for selling: Downsizing gear due to imminent house move Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal (add 4%), Extra Info: These two are a perfect fit - a relatively heavy tonearm paired with a low compliance cartridge. The Koetsu was fully refurbished 18 months ago in Japan (via the UK Koetsu authorised dealer). It is an earlier rosewood body, fitted with brand new internal workings, including platinum magnet, boron cantilever. It is well known that Koetsu do not do partial upgrades (retipping and the like) but a full rebuild, resulting in a brand new cartridge. Since this was not my only cartridge, it probably has not seen more than 150 hours playtime, practically meaning that it is just fully broken in. The cartridge comes in its original wooden box and can I supply all rebuild paperwork to interested parties. The Fidelity Research FR64S tonearm was purchased second hand with the sole purpose of mating with the Koetsu, and the result is undoubtedly very impressive. The tonearm is in excellent condition, considering its age. I have the original the box with all the contents in excellent condition. Can sell to interstate buyers, since size / weight is fairly low. I prefer to sell as a package, and if sold at the asking price would provide a free Fidelity Research protractor, as well as donation to SNA. Would also consider splitting the two, with the respective prices being $3,500 and $1,600. Auditions may also be arranged. Pictures:
  4. Item: Rare Vintage Fidelity Research FRT-4 SUT Location: Virginia (Inner North Brisbane) Price: $800 Item Condition: VGC, considering its age. Reason for selling: No longer required. I need to free up some funds following a phono stage upgrade. These don't come up to often anymore. Payment Method: Cash, Paypal (+3%) or Bank Deposit (deposit would need to clear before taking the goods) Extra Info: The best sounding SUT I’ve used to date with a large and open and relaxed sound stage. Better depth than my Cinemag Blue 1254 SUT. Deserves better than being used in my secondary system. The most hum resistance SUT I’ve ever used and the input selector is fantastic if you’ve either multiple tables or multiple arms. 4 different gain settings and an MM bypass make this the most flexible SUT I’ve used to date also. A very sought after step up. Very happy to demo (over a weekend) before purchase. Pickup Only, no post or couriers.
  5. Item: Ariston RD110 SL turntable + Fidelity Research FR -24 Mk2 tonearm + Pickering XSV3000 cartridge with new LPGEAR Vividline stylus + Kashmir corkstone mat Location: Virginia (North Brisbane) Price: $1,000. Item Condition: Vintage used. Some wear but stunning for its age. Sounds amazing. Reason for selling: Have placed an order for a much more expensive table, and my wife only allows me to keep two tables. I'm kind of torn seeing as this is such a fantastic sounding table. I'm listening to it now as I type and find myself wondering why I decided to "upgrade" although I'm sure I'll love the new table when it arrives. Pictured on the table is Supex SD900 Rosewood mounted on a Supex Rosewood headshell. I'm hanging on to these and providing a Pickering XSV3000 with new LPGEAR Vividline stylus and headshell instead. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, preferably with an audition to ensure you're happy with everything. Extra Info: I bought the table used about 12 months ago. Geoff Maloney at Aurealis Audio went over it and fine tuned everything and installed the tonearm. It has new black Linn springs and a spare armboard. The acrylic cover is in fantastic condition despite its age though doesn't quite fit any more due to the length of the tonearm counterweight. I also have the hinges and a spare belt packed away somewhere though I need to locate as I've recently moved house. The original platter mat has been replaced with a beautiful Kashmir corkstone mat. The original mat sapped dynamics and the corkstone is far superior in this respect. I don't currently have the antiskate set up for the FR-24 Mk2 tonearm as I've found it doesn't seem to affect performance at all one way or another. The original tonearm lifter had an issue as so often seems the case with the FR-24 arms. The weak point of these arms. I enlarged the hole and fitted a new lifter made in Italy by Audiosilente Steel which operates flawlessly. Pictures: Sent from my Redmi Pro using Tapatalk
