  4. Klipsch C-3 Centre Speaker for sale. This is the higher level, twin 6.5" woofer model rated at 150w RMS not the smaller C-1 and C-2 units. $130 The dust grill has seen better days but still connects and protects. I never use grills anyway as i like to hear uninterrupted sound. Kept covered when not in use, pet, child, dust free room. The C-3 features two 6.5 inch woofers (magnetically shielded so they don't put purple splotches on your TV screen), a one inch magnetically shielded aluminum-dome tweeter and the horn. It's also bi-wirable that doesn't add any color to your other front speakers. The C-3 is great for reproducing dialogue and center channel information. The C-3's frequency response is 73Hz - 23kHz +/-3dB, its power handling is 150 watts continuous and its sensitivity is a robust 96.5 decibels, so you wont need a monster avr to drive this centre. cash on pickup or can post (I usually use "e go couriers" ) at buyers cost. .. i live in adelaide I have bought and sold on this forum with never a problem. thank you

  10. * Item full name and model etc. Paradigm CC690v5 Gloss Piano Black * Location Port Melbourne for 1 week, before it moves to Toowoomba QLD with me. * Item condition description 9/10 as new, finish is unmarked, grill is perfect * Price and price conditions $OLD * Reason for selling Have upgraded my towers to models with soft dome tweeters which don't match the Paradigm's tweeter, and I'm thinking of staying with 2ch for a while now * Payment Methods: Direct Deposit, Cash on pickup, PayPal (you pay fees), * Extra Info: One of the best centre channel speakers for any theater, it is a beast and weighs about 32 KG, it has authority with movies, heaps of clarity, and the mid-hi and mid-low drivers are brilliant, you will never have trouble understanding dialogue again. This speaker also digs very very low, I honestly want to keep it for movies as it just handled everything I threw at it, I'd have to get a custom designed speaker to match my new towers! * Pictures (this finish is a bastard to photo, and I was just using my phone, as our DSLR is overseas!) Inspections are welcome. The serial number is slightly peeling off, there is no damage at the rear panel)
  11. Item: Dynaudio Contour SCX Centre Speaker with Matching Stand Location: Brisbane, Qld Price: $1750 with Stand. $1500 without stand. Item Condition: 9/10, Excellent Reason for selling: No Longer used Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Bank Deposit Extra Info: I am the second owner of this speaker and bought it off the original owner about 2 years ago. It is in perfect unmarked condition and comes with the optional (adjustable) Dynaudio "Centre Base2" Stand. The stand alone sold for $900 I believe. The CSX Centre speaker (rrp $4199) is significantly better than the standard Contour SC Centre (rep $2799). The next step up the Dynaudio range in the way of a centre is the $10k Confidence centre, so in my mind the CSX is the pick of the bunch (bang for buck wise) if you are looking for a centre speaker to match Dynaudio Foucs, Contour or Confidence front speakers. The SCX uses the Esotar tweeter which I believe is the same one used in the Dynaudio Confidence range. This centre speaker sounds superb. Voices are articulate and natural sounding through this centre and it really brought my home theatre experience to the next level. I apologise if I have any of the above RRPs wrong. I got them all from google - http://www.rio.com.au/brands/5/dynaudio/ I just wanted to give you an idea of where this speaker sits in the Dynaudio range. There are no marks, dings or dents on the speaker, and it is in perfect working order. There is a small mark on the back corner of the "Centre BAse2" stand which I have tried to show in the last pic. You can't see this mark unless you bend down behind the speaker and look carefully. I have the original box and manual and can post anywhere in australia at buyers cost and risk. Pictures:
  12. hi all - having a bit of brain fade but would appreciate your thoughts. so my front speakers are Cremona Auditor M's.... with a sensitivity of 88db/spl. My centre speaker is the Cremona (non-M version, but was too cheap to pass up!) with a sensitivity of 90db/spl. I've now only realised that the centre speaker in Sonus faber's Cremona line up, is matched (sensitivity wise) to the Cremona's - not the auditors (apparently people who want home theatre buy floorstanders). The obvious issue here, is that the sensitivity of the centre speaker makes it difficult to level match the left and right speakers. Yes of course there is a volume trim on the reciever (+ or - 10db) - but unfortunately, -10db still isn't enough for me to get a 75db reading on the SPL meter from the centre speaker (clearly 2db/spl is a big difference in terms of sensitivity!). Is there some way of externally altering a speakers sensitivity? I had a look at "L Pads" - but they look like they have to be soldered inside the speaker itself, which is not a route I want to take. The only solution I've found thus far, is turning down the main volume pot on the reciever to -2.5db whilst the test tones are being output (usually at 0db on the reciever) - and then dialling the other speakers up to match the centre (there is enough scope in the volume trim to get them up to match). In this scenario, I'm guessing my "reference" volume on the reciever would thus be -2.5db, rather than 0db. Any better solutions than the one I'm using? Hope this is as clear as mud!
