  1. Selling a pair of Elac NAVIS ARB-51 Active 3 Way bookshelf speakers in piano black. These are in absolutely new condition, they were used for a few hours in my spare room and then packaged up. Was planing on enjoying them but haven't had the time to. Balance of 2 year warranty. Comes complete with all original packaging. Feel free to ask any questions. "Quick spiel" ELAC’s new Navis Series answers every minimalist audiophile’s dream of a no-compromise powered speaker driven by best-inclass amplifiers that are truly deserving of the name “high end.” While most powered speakers rely on Class D digital designs, ELAC engineers build in 300 watts of pure analog amplification—for maximum power and exceptional sound.
  2. Further information: Sad to list these speakers, they brought great listening experiences when on rotation in the 5-6 years that I’ve had them, I bought them 2nd hand and were minus the covers but I still believe they look better without them (my personal opinion) the timber finish is Jarrah and they do have some marks on them, nothing too major. I used them in a stereo set up but can also handle main speaker duties in a modest HT set up or as rears for a much larger HT system, audition is possible! 7. Item: ELAC BS 243.3 Bookshelf Speakers - black Location: Collingwood, Melbourne Price: 1,200, negotiable Item Condition: 10/10 Reason for selling: Raising funds Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: Picked up from Vinyl Revival in Fitzroy late last year (Nov), selling to raise some funds. I auditioned a few bookshelf speakers and found these to be the best sounding and looking of the ones I tried in the two weeks I spent in there auditioning! I've had these in my apartment and they fill the space beautifully, lovely to listen to in the background but can definitely deliver if asked to. I have had them hooked up to a Sonos AMP. The jet tweeter delivers a lot of detail in the highs and they sound like much larger speakers for the size. The build and finish are beautiful. Glossy black, and really cool looking under the grille. Bought for 1,995, selling for 30% off: https://web.archive.org/web/20190407073809/https://www.vinylrevival.com.au/collections/elac/products/elac-bs-243-2-bookshelf-pair Comes with original box and packaging. Pick up Collingwood. Photos:
  8. Item: Harbeth HL-Compact 7ES-3 with Skylan Stands Location: Melbourne Price: $2400 Item Condition: Very Good Reason for selling: Clearing out 2nd system Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: These are in great condition, no marks or nicks. I'm not the first owner (bought off SNA from a Perth seller about 12-18 months ago). Specifications are available at the Harbeth site - https://www.harbeth.co.uk/hifi-speaker/2/Harbeth-C7ES-3-loudspeaker I think these speakers can still be bought new (for $4-5k AUD based on a cursory internet search). They've been my main system, until about 6 months ago and since then have not been used, so time to find them a new home for someone else to enjoy. I have the original boxes for the speakers (not the stands) but would prefer local pickup please. The stands are Skylan, seem to be of solid PDF with partial filling in the vertical corners, and look to be specifically designed for these speakers - they fit perfectly in any case, and bring the speaker to the right height. The stands have screw on spikes. I've been running these with a Yamaha A-S1000 (105W into 8Ohm) and they sound wonderful. Photos:
  9. Item: Trade-In Revel Performa M22 Bookshelf Speakers with matching Revel Stands Location: Tivoli Hi-Fi 155 Camberwell Road Hawthorn East VIC 3123 Price: $2000 Item Condition: Trade-In Stock in Excellent condition with boxes and can be freighted Australia wide. Payment Method: Direct Deposit, Paypal, Cash - Pickup in store, Credit Card including AMEX with no fees or penalties. Extra Info: Class A rated by Stereophile, these speakers cast a REALLY wide sound stage but focus really well too. Treble attenuation controls aid in room placement. These things rock! These will be sold with the matching stands, will not separate. PM Tivoli Hi-Fi staff member @jimsan after hours for prompt response. Pictures:
  10. Hi All I have just purchased an intel NUC as a HTPC for our spare plasma TV and hence created a requirement for half decent sound system to go with it. I have a DIY bookshelf speaker left over that I am hoping to utilize. ( Details below ) I plan to buy a bluetooth or USB soundcard then combine both stereo channels to mono Then the plan is to use an active crossover and bi-amp the speaker. Now I have no experience with Class D / Class T amps, my sound requirements are modest, I really just want to beat the bose/logitech bluetooth speakers out there. So just as long as the Class D isn't regrettable I'm be happy with that, the same with a switchmode PSU. Class A/B with linear supply would also be fine. Low standby power would be nice. My aim is to keep cost low and size small. So $200ish for PSU and dual mono AMP. I can pirate parts (PSU) from an Altronics kit (K5173) that I have built previously. It has a 300VA (45V + 45V) toroidal and the PSU rectifies to give +- 70V DC. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm happy to do my own research but a push in the right direction would be very helpful Thanks John ============================================================================== Woofer rated @ 60W RMS & Tweeter @ 100W RMS http://www.htguide.com/forum/showthread.php?13154-RS180-Modula-MT-you-asked-for-it-you-got-it!
