  4. 2M Red only has about 100 or so hours on it so should be okay, but will check setup again in case any of my kids have played with it...
  5. Hello fellow Thorens owners, Have a bit of a curly one. I have a TT whose sound I am not happy with so looking for ways to improve. I have a TD295mkIV (gift from my wife many years ago) with a 2M Red, into a Pro-ject Phono Box S2 feeding a CA 851a, to LS50s. When I compare my vinyl albums to the same albums via CD/Tidal through my Mojo, there is better bass extension but the highs sound smeared and the pace leaden. It's almost like listening to it through cassette. I am reluctant to replace the deck as it was from my wife, so wondering what my best plan of attack is. I am happy to overcapitalise as unlikely I will ever move it on. So, given this situation, I am looking to: - replace the stylus with 2M Blue; - replace cart with 2M Bronze - different phono cables - upgrade phono stage - upgrade arm. It was serviced about a year ago and VTA and tracking checked so setup should be fine. Any ideas appreciated.
