Replacing Edifier S360DB for PC desk system
Tomekkpl1 replied to Tomekkpl1's topic in General Hi-Fi Discussion
Thanks for the awesome response here The search has taken a backseat to other priorities but it is definitely something I want to return to at some point soon. I may hop in to the local Store DJ and give a few units a demo. -

xDuoo TA-20 with HD800?
Tomekkpl1 replied to Tomekkpl1's topic in Portable Audio, Headphones and Desktop Audio
For anyone in the same position as I was, I went ahead and got the 800's anyway. I think they sound pretty nice with the TA-20 (after EQ'ing the famous peaks down a bit). -
Hi Guys, I've read that the HD800 (original) can be a little picky with what gear it is paired with. Does anyone have experience with how the HD800 performs with the xDuoo TA-20 hybrid tube amp?

Hi All, Firstly I apologise if this is the wrong forum/category to post this question. I'm thinking of moving my Edifier s360DB's from my computer desk into my room to serve a TV/Movie speaker system role. I'd love to get suggestions on a 2.1 system to replace these and maybe step away from the all in one systems I've had so far (logitech, this etc.). Budget: I'd love to match what the s360db are worth (~$600-$700), but I'd go up to $1k. Of course definitely tell me if this isn't realistic and more needs to be invested! Use: Pr

I've recently purchased an xDuoo TA-20 from a member of this awesome community and stupidly didn't realize it doesn't have a built in DAC (woopsie). I am currently using it with my Modi 3 and it's quite nice, but I'd love to source a DAC with balanced output to make full use of the TA-20. The Schiit Modius looks like a decently affordable option, but it doesn't look like A2A stock this unit and I haven't seen any other retailers here in Aus that do. Are there any recommendations for DACs around that price range, that are more easily obtainable in Aus? Thanks all.
