Just following up on this forum.
I have an integrated Luxman Class A amp L550II which I purchased new back in 2013. It sounds great but I always get a very very low buzz noise whenever I turn it on.
I tried disconnecting it from the speakers and the noise comes from the vents above the amplifier. I have been told the noise comes from the transformer inside.
If I stand 1 metre away from the amp, the noise is almost inaudible.
I listen mostly to vinyl records and I find that the low buzz noise seems to filter through the phono stage in the amp especially for MC cartridge.
To this end, I bought separate Luxman E-250 phono stage and Luxman headphone amplifier to ensure I don't get to hear the noise when playing records. Both separate components have solved this issue (buzz don't filter through) but the very low buzz noise still persists.
A month ago, I was recommended to try DC blocker which may resolve the issue. But I am not sure.
I do have solar panels installed in my house back in 2014.
Any ideas anyone to help me to solve this problem please? @andyr are you able to help?
