  1. Further information: The Edition 8s are a brilliant, compact, closed headphone with great deep bass and extended treble. I have loved owning these, but can't justify having multiple closed back headphones in my office so something has to go . S-Logic® Plus technology ULE technology dynamic/closed Sensitivity: 96 dB Magnet: NdFeB Driver: 40mm Mylar/Titan Freq response: 6 Hz – 42.000 Hz Impedance: 30 Ohm Fixed approx. 1.2 m USC cable with angled 3.5 mm plug 260 g gold-plated 3.5 mm jack plug I bought these secondhand so I don't have the original bag, but can provide a similar type bag if wanted (see image). 2. Yeah, I had the original X-Sabre and it was a brick of aluminium too. Only just lost out to the Schiit Gumby so it was a really good DAC and well priced too. Assume Matrix have gotten even better with time
  3. The stack looks great! I'm trying to get my hands on a set of these for review at the moment and your post just makes me want to get it organised even more! Loving the display on the Matrix DAC @Munce31!
  4. Thanks Munce. I'm actually trying to get my hands on an A90 and D90 for the channel at the moment because I'm expecting good things so you might find that it performs close to the Taurus.
  5. Yeah, if it weren't for the ability to get world class DAC and amp in one box, I'd not go for the TT2 over the Taurus plus assume other DAC. It's the combo that has me sold.
  6. Hugo TT2 which I have here now (arrived for review and is now staying put ). The Taurus is hard to let go of. It comes SO close to the sound of the TT2 with just that little, lovely touch of colouration to add a tiny bit of warmth and soul. It's like the perfect balance point between the TT2 and my Bottlehead Mainline. If I didn't need to fund the TT2 purchase, the Taurus would be staying with me forever!
  7. X is limited, but Xavier Rudd is great!
  8. Further information: This is still one of the best headphone amps you can buy. I'm only selling because I absolutely have to in order to fund another purchase. The Taurus Mk2 is a very special piece of equipment and one of those few pieces of audio gear that truly outperforms its price. Original box, and manual all included. Some very minor cosmetic marks on the volume knob. Photos:
  9. Further information: I've listed this here because it's essentially a DAP and that's how I've used it of late (moderator, apologies if this is the wrong spot). Being fully up-to-date with Android as a phone OS, the V30 is smoother and snappier than any DAP I've ever used and it will handle every app under the sun without any side-loading, etc. This is the B&O tuned version (V30+) with the ESS Sabre Quad DAC and drives everything from IEMs to full-sized cans. You can use the built-in player or add an app like USB Audio Player Pro for even greater control. Condition: Signs of wear, particularly around the edges of the camera No significant damage Cases are used and show signs of wear, but that's why the phone's in such good condition! Photos:
  10. Further information: I set this up as a Roon endpoint to feed an external amp or active speakers and it works a treat. I'll include the 16Gb uSD card with the Roon Endpoint image ready to go. Just plug it in and off you go! Confirming contents: RPi 3 mainboard Hifiberry DAC+ Pro board Clear acrylic case Genuine RPi power supply 16Gb Sandisk uSD card with Roon endpoint pre-installed Photos:
  11. I think that's the shop/seller name. Before you buy an SP200, if you're able to commit to running a balanced headphone (may require investing in an aftermarket cable) the Geshelli Labs Erish is a much better amp than the SP200 for similar $$. You can feed it a single ended signal using adapters, but you would need a proper 4-pin XLR cable for the headphones. SP200 is a good amp, but it's held back by a bit of a crappy volume pot.
  12. Have a chat to Geoff at Aurealis. Not sure if this is the kind of work he'll take on, but can't hurt to ask! https://www.aurealisaudio.com.au/
  13. Definitely sounds like the Clears would be a good bet if you can get your hands on a pair at the right price. Beyerdynamic T1s (versions) could be a good option as well. I can't speak to the HifiMan planars as I haven't owned any since the original HE-500s.
